Several times since I purchased this vehicle new I have experienced throttle delay from a standing position. (example) while stopped at a red ;light or a stop sign or trying to accelerate from a stopped position into oncoming traffic there is a throttle delay of a few seconds. In other words I step on the gas peddle and nothing happens. After 2 or 3 seconds the throttle picks up and the car starts to move. This is in my opinion a very serious problem because a few second delay could result in a major accident if trying to accelerate into oncoming traffic. I brought this to the attention of the Nissan dealership service dept. Only to be told that there is no defect found. I checked (on line) and found that other people with this vehicle have experienced the same problem. I would appreciate you investigating this serious condition. Your next question on when this condition occurs cannot be answered because it's an ongoing issue. I'll just put a date thank you.

Since I purchased this vehicle (2024 Nissan Frontier) in October 2023 I have complained to the dealership of a hesitation from a stopped position. The hesitation of a few seconds occurs only if from a stopped position. If at a stopped position and trying to accelerate into traffic there is a few second delay for the vehicle to respond. This delay on several occasions has caused me to nearly have a collision. When brought to the attention of the dealership (twice) I was told the transmission is looking for the proper gear and this is normal. In my experience of driving for over 50 years this is the first car that I have ever had with this condition. In my opinion this is a major safety concern. When I expect the car to move it doesn't. There are no warning lamps illuminated. My safety and the safety of my passengers are at risk with this vehicle. Both my son's drove the vehicle and stated that they also experienced the hesitation. I also googled this condition and found others having the same problem and the dealerships reporting ndf (no defect found) I would appreciate your assistance in this matter.
While driving the vehicle and the fuel gauge reading 1/4 tank, without any prior notification such as a "low fuel" light thw car shut off on the highway, the vehicle ran out of gas. This has happened 3 times. Upon researching there is a known recall for this vehicle that exhibits these exact symptoms as the fuel gauge shows 1/4 tank but really there is no gas. Other than this the fuel gauge works, when filled with gas it shows full on the gauge, but upon reaching the 1/4 tank level the gauge stops moving and does not indicate low fuel leaving me to believe there is gas when in fact there is not.

I am the original owner of the vehicle which has just 66,000 original miles. I have smelled fuel and had a service engine soon light on for years. I have taken the vehicle into various shops and dealerships who failed to find a fuel tank leak that now turns out to have been from corrosion of the tank flange as early as 5 years after manufacturing. A check of various online owners forums suggests this is a known defect on Nissan Frontier and xterra trucks. Once gas began physically leaking out of my tank, I contacted the dealer who said my VIN was not part of any fuel tank recall and I would have to pay for any repairs myself. This is a dangerous and irresponsible situation for Nissan Frontier and xterra drivers which Nissan needs to fix. Other examples of rusted fuel tank flanges. . Read more...

Fuel tank developed leak at the filler neck connection point. The tank is "plastic". Connection neck is "plastic" but a different color than the tank. (perhaps dissimilar materials that are somehow fused/bonded together. ) fuel spilled from the tank onto my garage floor initially; I moved the vehicle outside. The problem was confirmed by an independent service center. The service center replaced the tank with a new oem tank. The vehicle is low mileage, garage kept and well maintained. I am reporting this in case there is a manufacturers defect in these fuel tanks. Photo of the fuel tank and filler connection neck area attached.
The vehicle has significant lag when trying trying to accelerate quickly. It also surges wildly on occasion when cruise control is engaged. It has happened both on slight inclines and when cornering. Both of these events are outside of operator control and could cause an accident. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by a dealer and there are no warning indicators. The vehicle is available for inspection. It seems like there may be a programming issue in regards to the electronic throttle, speed sensors, and transmission.

A gasoline leak has developed on the fuel tank hose fill adapter that is a molded fixture of the gas tank. In which there is no replacement part or fix for the hose fill adapter gasoline leak but to replace the whole gas tank, which cost hundreds of dollars. I alerted Nissan to the problem that a catastrophic situation could occur related to this grave engineering mistake. Because there are millions of people still driving this type of vehicle and others with the same gas tank design. Nissan said that it is not their problem because the vehicle is out of warranty, and there is no recall, on what I believe to be grave danger for all who owns a Nissan vehicle with this type of gas tank design. My opinion is that a warning bulletin or re-call should be issued immediately for this dangerous problem that many motorist may already have.

The truck is giving false data for gas mileage the truck is reading a lot higher gas mileage than I'm actually receiving my truck on average gets 15 miles a gallon but the truck itself states is getting 19 to 20mpg. The truck started receiving poor gas mileage after they did the tcm update to the truck in October 2022. I have an app that tracks my gas mileage and it shows the truck getting a lot less mpg than what the computer on the truck indicates. On average there's about a 4 to 5 mile per gallon deviation from reality versus with the truck indicates. The truck used to get 18 to 20 miles per gallon when I 1st purchased it in may but after the tcm update in October it no longer even gets close to 17 miles a gallon which indicates on the sticker. Full disclosure I drive 95% in the city only. Transmission shifting issues. When I drive the transmission lags has weird shifting characteristics when the transmission is cold I was able to reproduce this on a brand new Nissan Frontier that had the tcm update. The truck has a slipping issue of not wanting to go under its own power when driving from a stop sign or stop light the truck acts like it doesn't want to move when you give it fuel. Talking with the service adviser at Nissan dealership I am not the 1st person to complain about this issue. All the problems that I am discussing happened after the tcm update. I've tried calling Nissan directly and I get nowhere but the run around no one wants to take responsibility for the update issue and I've even had a long conversation with their specialist who took my vehicle out and proving to them that I was getting poor gas mileage and weird shifting characteristics and still they have yet to resolve my issue or offer a solution to my issue.
Transmission in park Nissan sent notice truck could roll away. Radio turns self on and off 2-3 times after starting vehicle no lights or messages show up cell phone bluetooth won't work.

I was driving my vehicle and I ran out of gas. The gas gauge maintained a quarter of a tank and the gas light never came on. I check for recalls and it turns out this is a known recall for this vehicle, but it says 0 recalls. But the problem still persists, therefore the vehicle is still suffering from this problem. After filling the gas after the car ran out. I tested this theory 2 more times to confirm that indeed the vehicle was suffering from this recall, in which I run out of gas without knowing. Secondly, the links associated with the other recall, have also failed/failing as the vehicle is becoming unstable while driving at times and a mechanic has already determined the links to be the cause, yet when I check my VIN number, it says 0 recalls. Yet my vehicle clearly suffers from this. Can my vehicle please be added to the list, as this is very scary as the first time I ran out of gas I was on the expressway, and the vehicle sways yet it is not listed and needs to be for safety reasons and concerns. Thank you for your time, effort, and consideration regarding this, I await your timely response.
Descending my driveway which is an approximately 15 degree slope with the transmission selected to remain in 1st gear, and approximately one third of a tank of fuel or less remaining in the fuel tank the engine seems to momentarily cut out as the vehicle feels like the transmission is in neutral, but the tachometer indicates the engine is running. When this occurs the mil comes on along with the check at light. Stopping the vehicle and restarting the vehicle clears the check at light, but it takes several drive cycles to clear the mil light. This has happened on two occasions. After the first occurrence the dealer checked for any locked in codes, but none were present. Since the mil only stays locked in for a limited time it appears that the on board diagnostics are not storing codes due to it being a momentary issue.

1. The fuel pump and fuel sensor suddenly stopped working without prior notice while driving down the road. 2. Sudden loss of power while driving creates a dangerous situation. 3. An independent service center stated that "Nissan corp. Had a recall on fuel pump sensors. 4. The fuel pump and fuel sensor were replaced. 5. I called Nissan corp, but they said that vehicle did not qualify for a recall of the fuel sensor.
Fuel level sending unit failed with code. Fuel gauge shows empty or at 1/4 full when full.
Ipdm module and ecm systems failure 4. 0 l v-6 check engine light came on also battery light.
Unintended vehicle acceleration while making u-turn. 90% sure it was not my big feet. Stopped and started car and it seemed fine. Drove home without incident.
Engine hesitates or stalls on acceleration. When pulling out from a stop engine hesitates to near stall no matter how hard or far you press gas pedal. Extremely dangerous. Intermittent issue, no failure codes when tested. If engine doesn't stall, vehicle is at a stand still even with gas pedal to floor or pumping gas pedal. Is happening all the time, extremely dangerous. Nearly hit by oncoming traffic several times. Dealership has had many reports of same issue, but no solution. I am afraid to drive vehicle.

Fuel guage not working.
From a stand still, when accelerating to enter into traffic. Depressing the accelerator, the truck only moves into traffic but then the truck fails to accelerate. There is a flat spot. No acceleration at times. I have to "pedal" the accelerator to try to get the truck to move. Meanwhile I am stuck with traffic rapidly approaching because I cannot get out of the way. This problem happens intermittently and always at the worst time like when trying to enter onto a highway. I have had near collisions twice due to this problem. Nissan dealer has found nothing. They cannot reproduce the problem when I take it to them.

Driving on street truck began to shake and vibrate I loss power and car couldn't shift into gear it seemed I pulled over and stopped and shut off. Car I started it began to drive and it wudnt go over 30mph I stopped and noticed leaking under the truck towards the engine and when I pressed on gas it wouldn't go still so I stopped and got towed.
When it rains or snows, the fuel fill overflow valve stops working correctly and fuel spits right back out when trying to fill with fuel and the check engine light comes on. The light comes on when driving in rain or snow.
Hesitation from idle to take off-never know when it is going to act up,for example turning in front of another vehicle-- will I make it this time without an accident?.
Fuel vent tube is so blocked when opening gas cap vapors blow out with much pressure and can not pump gas into truck as it spreads out over the truck and all over the place!! I just bought this truck and I am sure it is a very serious safety concern ,could turn deadly . .
Campaign id pc042, I bought this truck used from a dealer when I went to fill up the gauge read empty I found this recall but the Nissan dealer said my truck isn't on the recall , it is doing exactly what the recall claims and it's for 2006-2008 Frontier , I can't afgord to get it fix and they won't honor the recall .
Break light shocker brittle.
Faulty gas gauge. Fuel level sensor malfuntion.
After 6 months of owning this new vehicle, when pumping gas it would cut off when beginning to pump thought it was a fluke but it happens everytime, took it to dealer they replace a bunch of parts after first fill up it was ok the second fill up this morning took 10minutes to get 10 gallons in to it I will call dealer today.

Tl the contact owns a 2006 Nissan Frontier. The contact noticed an abnormal fuel odor inside the vehicle. The odor attached itself to the contact's clothes. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 73,727.
Continues airbag problems. From the satellite airbag sensors being rusty and water intrusion to the occupant air bag sensor. I have also had continuous misfires that have caused the catalytic converter on bank 1 to fail.
I purchased a 2017 Nissan Frontier in August of 2017. Recently when I went to fill up with gas, gas started coming back up. I researched this online and it is a common issue with Frontier. The evap fuel canister and solenoid valve.
My Frontier was involved in a fuel level sensor recall in 2010 and was never replaced. The cel came on today(10/17/2018). I called my local dealer and they said the warranty on that part was increased 72;000 miles or three years. So as of today it is expired. I thought if a part was under recall it was for the life of vehicle. I worked at this dealership for over twenty years and never heard of anything like this. If a part is defective does it matter when it fails?.
Fuel guage doesn't work correctly. Sometimes it show the right level and other times it shows empty or somewhere in between. Ran out of fuel the other day on the highway. I know there was a recall on this for 2006 -2008, but it says my VIN number doesn't have a recall for this.
