Air bags deployed, the drivers side deployed while closing the door vehicle not moving, the steering wheel airbag & the dash airbag deployed while the vehicle was in motion, on rural road, it was a short distance from my house so after the bags blew, I drove the vehicle back to the house, no police were involved. Did not have collision insurance on the vehicle, I called Nissan and they said there was no recall on the airbags at that time, since there is a recall I asked Nissan to replace the blown airbags and they refused, said it was not their fault. The passenger side airbag did not deploy, and I was told that is the only one on recall, what can if anything I do? john coward.

The Sentra has a light on the dashboard that alerts the driver if the passenger airbag is disabled. This light on my Sentra will sometimes come on even though a 150 pound person is sitting in the passenger seat. Initially I was able to get the light to turn off by braking fast. A few nights ago, I could not get the light to turn off for a 20 minute drive even though a 150 pound person is sitting in the seat. Per Nissan, the air bag is providing no codes for this issue and unless I can recreate it there is nothing they can do. I have contacted Nissan customer service and was told to video tape the light, go to a different dealer who can then read the codes of which there are not any or to trade in the vehicle. I am concerned that the air bag will not properly deploy in a front end collision.

I was traveling to my new home when I realized the car in front of me was completely stopped to make a left hand turn. I slammed on my brakes, but hit the car in front of me. I was sitting at the red light when a suburban was speeding and wasn't paying attention. He hit me from the back which cased a 4 car wreck. My trunk was literally pushed to my front seat. The fron of my car was under the car in front of me. My car was totaled. I hit my shoulder on the steering wheel along with my neck and shoulders. This wreck made me disabled. The air bags never deployed. It was a major accident wasn't much left of the car and my air bags never came out. The air bags more than likely would have saved me from that horrible impact. I am now disabled for life and my doctor mentioned the air bags would have taking the force of the injuries.
