2005 Nissan Titan with a known poor exhaust and emission control device leads to premature failure and requires replacement prior to or soon after warranty expires. Exhaust manifolds include catalytic convertors and are mounted under stress which causes fracture and emission leaks at the maniflold, into the passenger compartment and not out of the exhaust. Severely cracked manifolds can actually allow the engine to run with the tailpipe closed.
