I have a 1998 Plymouth Breeze with a 2. 0 liter motor. I have only 6000 miles on this vehicle because I drive very little with it. I am 81 years old and dont do much driving any more. I recently found motor oil in my water inside my radiator. I was told by a Chrysler dealership that my head gasket was blown. They told me that any motor between 1995-2005 had defective head gaskets and that Chrysler corporation had corrected the problem by introducing a new revised version on the head gasket . . . Thicker, more durable! anyway the dealership new about it as did many persons on the internet that owned these vehicles from the years that I specified. So I called Chrysler corporation and tyler asked me for the VIN number to my vehicle and told me that I had 2 recalls on it but they knew nothing of a defective head gasket problem with the years I specified and would not opt to fix it for me or anyone else for that fact. So I am reporting Chrysler corporation for their lack of honesty and customer support since we baled them out of a bad finacial situation and now look at them. All I can say is that the bail out was not worth it. We should have let them go under!.

Since I bought the car I have had to replace 2 water pumps in 3 years. I own a Plymouth Breeze(1997) and I just had to replace another water pump plus it did damage to valves and head. It cost me $1600. 00. The mechanic said it is the way that Chrysler made this car. He said the intreppit and the Breeze are defective because of how the manufacturer made them. I was never warned about this problem nor have I heard from Chrysler that there may be a defect. I have the defective water pump saved for anyone who wants to examine it!I think Chrysler should be forced to pay for these repairs because of the defect in there manufacture of this vehicle. I have owned at least 10 car and have never had to replace 2 water pumps in a 3 year period. I have only had to replace 1 other water pump but it never did damage to the head and valves. This is a defect of the Chrysler coorporation.

My son, richard scott bradley, owns a 2000 Dodge stratus. A second son, robert brian bradley, owns a 1999 Dodge intrepid. I own a 1999 Plymouth Breeze. My two sons and I have each had a cooling system failure, and have been told that it will cost approximately $1200 to repair the malfunction. It seems more than coincidence that each of us would experience similar defects in the vehicles' air conditioning systems. In the not so distant future, each one of us will be in the market for a new car. In all due respect, I am open to your suggestions.
There has been a continous oil leak involving my 1998 Plymouth Breeze upon inspection from a local auto shop they informed me that they have serviced and replaced the head gasket on some 1998 Plymouth Breeze for oil leaks. They have had to reservice the same cars within a six month period for the same head gasket leak. While driving at a speed of 50 mph the ac clutch broke off from under the hood, causing the vehicles ac unit to stop responding. Prior to the ac clutch breaking there was a loud banging noise in which we pulled over to the side to investigate, we could not see anything evident at the time, but after taking it to get serviced we were informed that the noise and reason our ac was not working was due to the ac clutch breaking off. Nothing has been done to correct these defects, but we have had service technicians investigate the problem.
The consumer stated, whenever the vehicle was turned off, the engine fluids began to bubble, and caused the oil to boil over into the cooling system. Ts scc.
Head gasket and water pump failed. Nlm.
Vehicle was losing oil, overflow container for antifreeze and water had turned brown. Once car overheated, and let out a mixture of water and oil.
Car leaks a mocha/chocolate color fluid. Then overheated after being driven about 1. 5 miles . I added coolant to bottle and 1 qt oil. Temp gauge was still up after idling for 5-6 minutes. My mechanic examined vehicle and said liquid is oil mixed with water and there is oil in radiator. I contacted Chrysler corp and they instructed me to take to nearest dealer (michael stead hilltop, richmond, CA) for diagnosis ($89) by service dept. My mechanic suspects blown head gasket or cracked block (?).

Because of the coolant bottle system failure, the vehicle bubbles and gurgles after turning off. Et.
I'm so disappointed in this car. I bought it new in 1996, and it's been constant problems since I did. The first time the head gasket went out, the car was still under warranty, but has gone out twice since then. I've spent so much money on repairs, that I could have bought a whole new car if you add it all up. The brakes are always squeeking and wearing out quickly. Whenever one thing goes wrong, it's quickly followed by several other problems. My transmission had a massive leak last year (2001) that took the dealer two times to fix. But now it's leaking again. I went and bought a new kia two days ago--but I'm reluctant to try and sell this lemon to anybody. It has no trade in value whatsoever. Now that I'm aware of the major head gasket problems, I wonder if there's any sort of class action lawsuit against the makers of Plymouth? I want my money back!!!.
