I own a 1998 Plymouth Voyager with 60,000 miles on it recently the air bag light came on and will not go off. I did some research via the internet and find out that there was a recall for the clock spring plus other recalls that we have never received for the van. This really concerns me for the safety of myself and my family. I will never buy another Chrysler product if this is the way they are going to treat their customers plus I no longer like Chrysler products because of other problems that we have had in the past.

I purchased a vehicle in 1997 from a friend. All of a sudden my horn stopped working. I have replaed the fuses. I have checked all the wires. I have replaced the horn. Their is nothing wrong. I think the problem is where the airbag is behind the steering wheel. What do I do. I dont think that is my responsibility if their is a problem with the air bag is it?.

The airbag sensor light continued to stay on and horn the was inoperative. The dealer stated the air bag clock spring had failed. A recall was issued, however the vehicle identification number was outside of the remedy scope. The valve cover gasket leaked oil while the vehicle was still under warranty. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who claimed they couldn't find a leak. The vehicle was taken to two other technicians who both agreed that there was a leak. The serpentine belt cracked at 90000 miles. The transmission cooler line clamps were replaced.
The air bag lights illuminated continuously. The air bag light only went off when the vehicle was turned off. This indicated a failure in the air bag system that may result in the air bags not deploying or deploying prematurely.

Air bag lights illuminates when car starts.
While stopped at a stop sign, a car struck my Voyager in the center of the front bumper. The other car was moving at 35 mph and my bumper was pushed into the radiator 10-12 inches and the frame was bent. Neither airbag deployed. The dealer which repaired my Voyager said the sensors were located to either side of the impact, and since no contact was made with them. . . The airbags won't deploy. My complaint is that they should have deployed under such an impact. I now wonder if they will in another accident.
