Air bag and service light on. Brought car to dealer only to find out the air bag module is defective. Dealer said it would cost $750. 00 to repair. Talked to local auto repair shop they said they thought there was a law that manufacturers have to correct a safety issue for up to 10 years after car is manufactured at no charge to consumer. Called dealer they said they have no knowledge of this of course. Stuck with problem and concerned.

The contact owns a 2006 Saturn Vue. While idling at a red light, the contact's vehicle was struck head on by another vehicle traveling approximately 50 mph. None of the air bags deployed in the contact's vehicle. She notified the attorney general, manufacturer, and the center claims division. She researched several complaints on the same component for her vehicle. The contact sustained major injuries to her neck, back, and knee and is currently in physical therapy. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed. The failure and current mileages were 62,000.

2006 Saturn Vue has been in some three times for airbag deactivation. This occurs when the passenger seat gets slightly damp and is a safety issue in florida. Gm says to not get the seat damp.

I own a 2006 Saturn Vue. The passenger airbag "off" light remains illuminated or toggles between off and on when there is an adult in the passenger seat. This seems to have nothing to do with the posture of this person or their weight. The light (indicating air bag off) is usually lighted when there is a passenger in the seat. Vehicle was purchased used from a non gm dealer who states there are no trouble codes. Obviously I do not feel safe transporting my family in this vehicle.

No known crashes or injuries. Horn on vehicle stuck in on position and can only be silenced by removing fuse. Defect is a poorly designed contact strip that is part of air bag assembly. Cost of repairs by Saturn is between $800 and $1,200 thus causing many owners to drive without a horn or properly functioning air bag.

: the contact stated while driving 35 mph the vehicle crashed and the air bags deployed but did not inflate. The front of the vehicle was the point of impact in the crash. The contact rear ended another vehicle. There were 2 occupants in the vehicle, both were wearing seat belts did not tighten to keep contact and passenger from hitting the steering wheel or dashboard. The contact sustained neck,back, chest and tooth injuries. Passenger suffered from b urns from material that came out of the air bags, and sustained chest, back and leg and back injuries from hitting dashboard. A police report was taken.

I have a question. On 2004 Saturn Vues, if the car is not on, will the air bags still deploy? I recently was involved in a hit and run accident. I was not in nor was I driving my car, and my insurance is now saying that the only way the air bags would have gone off is if the car was on and the seat belts were clicked in. Can you please let me know if there are any other claims or if this could happen. Thanks.

As I was driving on the highway, my vehicle drifted onto the grassy shoulder. Without hitting my brakes, I steered back onto the road. The rear end of my vehicle fish-tailed slightly. As this was happening, the driver's back wheel bent underneath the vehicle causing it to roll over, passenger side first, onto the side of the highway. During the roll-over, none of my airbags deployed, both driver- side tires blew, both axles bent, the tops of the passenger-side doors crumpled, the passenger-side windows shattered, and the roof crumpled like a crushed aluminum can. I received numerous injuries, including neck/back/shoulder strains, broken ribs and damage to my right knee and ankle.

I have had this happen twice in less than 15 months. The 2001 Saturn Vue's horn becomes jam due to problems with the airbag. According to the mechanics at the Saturn dealership the airbag presses down on the horn and jams it causing it to go off non stop, the only way to turn it off is to disconnect the fuse. The second time this happened to me according to the dealership it fried the horn connection in the steering wheel, my concern about this since its happen to me so often is could it accidentally set off the airbag? also can this be a fire hazard due to the cables being burnt within the steering wheel? I would be willing to let you guys inspect my automobile. In order to repair this the whole airbag system, and horn needs to be repair.

Horn doesn't honk or almost impossible to honk until too late.
