On two occasions (August 2019 and October 27, 2019) when pulling in to my driveway I experienced unintentional acceleration by the vehicle. The second time the car rammed into a post on my house and the airbag deployed fracturing my sternum in three places.

1)body- the body of the vehicle (paint) seems to be chipping and/or rusting at an increasingly rapid rate with no known causes. This rusting is causing the value of the car to plummet as I am trying to sell the vehicle. It first appeared in about 2019 and has been getting steadily worse without any way to stop it. 2) suspension- on every single Toyota I’ve owned (4) the struts wore very quickly and are not a cheap fix. I had to at one point, fix them more than once in the same vehicle. I was told by the repair tech that it is a common issue seen in Toyotas. If a strut goes while driving it can cause major safety issues for the driver. 3)wheels- the hubcaps more specifically speaking, on every Toyota I’ve owned, have also had an issue maintaining its hubcaps. One rolled off on the highway and nearly caused me to crash as it hit the side of my car and slid under the rear tires and made me slide all over the snowy highway. Luckily there weren’t many vehicles on the road or it could’ve been catastrophic. I also notice that the light for the tire pressure never turns off either. I can fill the tires, empty the tires, it does not matter, the light will never go off.

My car developed a vibration in the front end. This occurred especially when turning. I brought it to a mechanic for repair and was told that the front suspension was very near to coming apart - which would have caused a loss of control of the car. This seams very similar to the issue covered under NHTSA recall notice 14v715000, however my VIN is not included in the scope of that recall so perhaps that needs to be expanded.
Oil burning problem.

The approximate failure mileage was 76,000. Dyd.
The dash has a clicking/popping noise every time I brake, it can become distracting when I am driving. I have reviewed a number of blogs and it appears that customers that purchased the same care have a similar/same issue as I do with the 2015 Toyota Camry.
Tl the contact owns a 2009 Toyota Camry. While driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle started to pull to the right. Every time a turn was attempted, a popping noise was heard. The vehicle was driven to the contact's residence. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. All four struts leaked on or prior to 60,000 miles and needed to be replaced. The only indication was fluid on the garage floor and the report of the car dealer.
The doors are powered.

Takata recall the front axle breaks when driving on a city street (not turning but the steering wheel is slightly right) with a speed of about 25-30 mph and the right front tire went off the vehicle with both right front and right rear tires burst. Not sure if the car hits the curb first or the axle or flat tire happened first.

Knocking noise while driving.
Two days back when I was trying to take my car out I heard some different sound. . Then I stopped car and observed that it is flat tire. . I took the tire out and observed that the tire got cut because the shock coil spring got broken into two and the sharp edge of the spring is cutting the tire. . Luckily it did not happen on the highway . . A day before that I visited sant cruz with family ( wife and two kids ). . If it was, I would have been in helpless situation. . I replaced all the struts and shocks on next day by towing the vehicle. Tire has more than three cuts. . I am not sure from how long the sharp edge spring was touching the tire.

At 59000 miles the transmission torque converter was replaced . Shortly after that I noticed the car seems to be all over the road . This has gotten much worst. Specially on windy days . Can not take a exit or change lanes with out feeling like the rear end is going to break free . If on the highway and road comes into a curve feels like your going to loose control . I've had several repair shops look at this car . They drove it and experienced it . Wast told how do you drive that car. Contacted Toyota several times do have a file number. Requesting to meet a rep at anylocal dealer to test drive this car . Was told they don't do that. Was told to take it back to dealer who did transmission if related repair under warranty . If not I'm liable for diagnosis charges. I refused . Also note that I'm on set number 4 of tires 2 sets of michelin and set of snows. Ive be at replaced tires on any car like this car . I have found several other similar complaints. Please reference NHTSA I'd #10966229 some e needs to look into this before someone gets hurt or worst.
I was driving home on Friday August 18th at about 35 mph. On a straight roadi suddenly lost my steering. When I got out to look at it the right from wheel was turned 90 degrees to the right. When looking at it it looks like the right front axel broke or tie rods or whatever is under there. When the colchester police came they did not file an accident report since it was their belief that something on the car had broken. The officer told me I was lucky to only be going 35 and not on the interstate doing 65. When the wrecker came he said he had never seen anything like this on a Camry. I did not hit a pothole or curb or anything else. Now Toyota (heritage Toyota, south burlington vt. Is not convinced that it was a defect. They are waiting for their regional office to make a determination. Just talked to heritage Toyota and they said it was not a defect. However they did not say what was wrong with it. They are acting like this is an every day occurrence. I just want to make you aware of this in case anyone else had the same issue.

Cv boot is leaking grease without finding damage upon physical inspection. Two mechanics have reported this to me while working on unrelated maintenance issues.
I have been change oil by Toyota dealer, regularly on and off, since bland new. But once a while, I took different shop to change parts. About 2012 I learn that I have problem with strut, when I was replacing tires. So I went back and I complain about the strut to kearny mesa Toyota, san diego, but they told me it is still okay to drive as it is, but about 2014, I starting having problem with my tires, so I went to Toyota poway, they told me I need to replace sturt along with tires, so I request to replace strut and tires and they called me the bearing need to be replace as well. I was really mad and I contact the Toyota, and kearny mesa Toyota contact me they will replace bearing for me. Now after 2 and half years with a little over 20k mile on the vehicle it started to having strut leak problem again. I contact the Toyota poway, they told me I need to replace strut need to replace again. I contacted the Toyota and they don't want to help this time.

I was slowly backing out of my driveway when I heard a loud bang come from underneath the car on the left front. As I drove the car to my mechanic I heard a clanging noise coming from the left front. My mechanic told me that the spring around the strut had broken. I had the spring strut replaced at a cost of $350. I am the original owner and the car has 64,000 miles with all work performed at the Toyota dealership, except my last set of michelin tires.
The contact owns a 2009 Toyota Camry. While driving various speeds, the air bag warning indicator inadvertently illuminated and the horn inadvertently failed to function. In addition, when attempting to park and turning the steering wheel to the left, the vehicle veered to the right. Both rear tires made a loud noise, the engine shook violently without warning, and the water hose detached and caused water to leak out. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the shocks were replaced, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 160,000.
