Air Bag Not Deploy Problems of Toyota Corolla - part 2

My daughter was involved in an accident on 11/16/2019 @ 11:57am and she rear ended another vehicle going 40 miles per hour. The cars forward collision nor did the crash imminent braking system work. The seat belts did not lock up nor did the air bags deploy causing her to hit the dash board and the passenger to hit her head on the dash board. She has bruised ribs, bruised sternum, lumbar strain etc. Thankfully this did not result in something worse. However, this should be a concern since there is an ongoing investigation regarding the malfunction of the air bags not deploying,.

My Toyota was tee boned by a driver who ran stop sign. My wife and I were injured when our airbags and seatbelts failed to deploy properly. Hello, on September 4th 2019 I was involved in a three car accident, me being in the middle. My air bags did not deploy and this evening I just saw a new article about many Toyota Corollas being effected. Low and behold my vehicle was one of the recall cars. There is no was to fix the car now I had to get a new one which is again on the list. I have checked both VIN's. I was injured in that crash and that air bag could have helped my head not going the way it did. I'm extremely upset with the fact this was not brought forward sooner. I would like to speak with someone.

I was involved in a car accident in September 2019, the air bags did not deploy when they were supposed to. Several months later I was informed of the recall. I was involved in an accident in 8/19 where I was hit from behind. I was injured and now I found out there's a recall on the airbags and the seatbelts. "takata recall" vehicle airbags failed to deploy after impact at 55 mph in a 3 vehicle pile up on the freeway. I have taken my vehicle in before for passenger airbag recall and repaired. Neither one deployed including the side doors, passenger and driver. As the results of this failure, I sustained injuries after the initial impact.

While driving warning lights on dashboard lit up and car shut down. According to screen on dash it showed malfunction of airbags, abs, lane change warning, among other system parts. Able to restart car and drive it to dealer. Toyota notified me that squirrels had eaten the main wire harness. Not covered under warranty. I did some research and found out Toyota and other auto manufacturers use soy based wiring and wire covers which draw all types of rodents to them and they destroy the main harness electrical parts to malfunction. This can cause dangerous situations while driving possibly causing accidents resulting in injury or death. Brakes may fail ,air bags may not deploy etc. Toyota knows of the problem but refuses to correct it. It cost me $5000. 00 to repair and I still do not feel safe. I notified Toyota corp. Office they took my complaint and said nothing could be done about it. They did give me a case # 1903070512.

In March 1 2019 at 840 pm I was driving my Toyota Corolla 2014 heading south on arch street in pittsford vermont. I drove down the road went over a little hill and as I came over the tiny hill in my vision I saw a driving car coming towards me in there appropriate lane, with there headlights on, then I saw a parked car blocking 70 percent of my lane. I had no choice but to hit the parked car. When I hit the car my air bags did not deploy. I don't remember anything after my face hit the steering wheel. My air bags did not deploy! I have broken bones in my face and can't see clearly out of my right eye. I've gone to a eye MD who is a retina specialist and she says I'm not going to be able to see out of my right eye. I do have a lawyer but I believe if I would have known about this defect than I would have had this fixed and would have had the proper deploy of the air bag which then I would not be losing my site. I was going 35 mph.

Takata recall- I was involved in a serious five car accident which my 2018 Toyota Corolla's airbag did not deploy.

Takata recallon but this is not under the recall, but I did see it there were recalled in europe just the other day for not going off as well as going off without being hit. I just wish mine had gone off. 09/23/2018 I was hit headon by a vehicle going 45 mph. There was no where on my front end that was not effected by the accident. Researching I found where the sensors were for the air bag, each on each side of the raditor was hit. The air bag did not deflate casing myself neck and back injury that will never repair. Pictures will show that there is no way none of the air bag sensors were not damaged or hit to advise the air bag to go off and hold the person in place so they do not get slung around like a rag doll until the accident is over. I remember seeing that the accident was going to happen, I just did not think I would of been involved in it. Unfortunately, a truck hit another vehicle which that vehicle slammed into me at full force. I first was slung into the door, the next thing I remember is my accelerator sticking so I had to turn off my key to avoid flying across a busy road. I have a buldging disc, damaged tendons and muscles. I am 61 years old and now fear that if hit ever again the air bag will not deploy.

On 08/07/2018, I was in a car (2016 Toyota Corolla) accident where another car slammed me in the rear and I've hit a chevy pickup in the back. The pick-up was coming to a stop which I was slowing down as well and I'm assuming the car that was behind did not paid attention. Therefore, he hit me between 45-50 mph in the back which I've hit the truck abruptly at 30-35mph. My airbags did not deploy which is very shocking and my shoulder along with my arm slammed into the steering wheel. Also, I had a hard time with my brakes because it felt like it was stuck and wouldn't go down as I was pressing on it. I'm suffering from intense right leg pain as if I've torn the muscle but 10x's worst. Ever since the accident, my leg has been going numb quite frequently which goes into my toes. I'm walking with a limp and my shoulder has sharp pain as well. I'm starting to think that my airbags were defective because it should have deploy as soon as the impact occurred but it didn't. . .
