A crack has developed on the passenger side of the dash running directly over the location of the airbag located on the same side. This has not resulted in any failure or malfunction as of now, but it raises concerns over the potential given the location. If you research the internet, you will find a plethora of similar complaints and concerns from many other third generation (‘04-‘08) Acura Tl owners dating back many years now. In spite of this, Acura/Honda has failed to offer any type of solution or even recognize it for the potential safety issue that it represents. To answer the questions you ask, I have not had it inspected by any dealer, mechanic or insurance representative at this time, nor have there been any warning lights appearing. However, common sense tells me that there is the “ potential “ for a problem given the nature of the crack and its location. Acura/Honda needs to step up and acknowledge and address this issue!!.

My battery would be dead if I didn't drive my car every day. Then I found out there is a parasitic drain on the battery from a faulty hands-free bluetooth module. I watched a video then disconnected mine myself, problem solved. I've used a headlight restoration kit because the lights are yellow and they have spider-cracks all in them, it really affects the brightness of the light itself. The dashboard is cracked beyond repair and I'm terrified of getting into a wreck in my car, the dash would become shrapnel!.

2005 Acura Tl- parked winters, garaged, babied and all service completed at the Acura dealerships. Car has 141,000 on it and was near 50,000 when purchased (aspec package etc). Car has developed cracks in the dashboard from the windshield to the instrument panel, across the center speaker and now directly on the indentation where the airbag is located on the passenger side. Reached out to Acura for assistance ((attached)) and they said the car is too old and outside warranty to help me. Irregardless of the fact I have always taken it to Acura and one look at the cars exterior and interior *paint and leather interior* shows that this car has been spoiled. The dashboard is a known issue for this generation and even made the news from complaints. I am now concerned that the airbag will not work properly or cause harm due to the structural integrity of the dashboard being altered due to shoddy craftsmanship that is not being backed up by Acura I have also raised concern that the headlight assembly are both cracking and discolored. I have had them professionally *refurbished* but the dealership said that they need to be replaced as they too are a safety issue not allowing proper light to be illuminated on the highway due to manufacture defect- again -- car parked winters, just look at the paint and quality of the car that is 15 years old.

These problems are not accident related but need to be addressed. My car battery kept draining. I replaced the battery just under a year ago and it kept happening unless I drove the car every day. Finally took it in to have it checked. The bluetooth device up in the headliner was shorted out. Got that fixed but found out that there is a class action lawsuit against Acura for this very problem. It's been ongoing for 5 years! the airbag issue has to to do with the fact that my dashboard is cracked, horribly, even though my car has been garaged and protected from the sun most of the time since I bought it in 2011. If the airbags deploy in an accident, there will be major shrapnel from the dashboard damage that will cause even greater injury. I would like to know why Acura is not doing anything about the faulty dashboard materials.

Recall campaign service bulletin #20-005 alhambra Acura dealer is not providing any remedies at this time. They anticipate the part to be available until March or April 2021.

For my Acura Tl 2001 we have been waiting over 6 months for the air bag to be replaced. The dealership and Honda (called Honda this week) will not even provide a date when the replacement air bags will be available. Very poor as this is a known safety hazard and we don't feel safe driving this vehicle!.

Airbag: cracked dashboard above airbag. Abs off steering: (in motion and when stationary) steering wheel moaned while turning wheel/driving and even after parking and turning steering wheel. Brakes: (in motion) when going down on dips on road, brakes make noise and seem to slip.

2003 Acura t. L was in motion when the vehicle started slipping on 2nd gear. Then when vehicle was stationary it would not move in reverse gear. As I was on highway the car started jerking out of control, I could not accelerate, vehicle barely wanted to move so I put it in #2 gear so it work catch and I was able to drive to safety without anyone getting hurt. Very frightening and dangerous. Problem must be addressed immediately.

There are cracks in the dash on the passenger side and they run from windshield to the middle of the dash.

At the time of this text, the car is at an Acura service center. The interior has become soaked with water affecting the battery & possibly other components. The continuous problem, creating a damp & very wet interior, has caused mold to form everywhere inside the car, I am a severe asthmatic & this has been extremely detrimental to my health. I will be providing documentation as soon as I receive it.

My vehicle has a recall for the srs airbag system I just found out about on this website. I called Acura and they told me that the srs airbag system cannot be replaced because due to the age of the vehicle all parts are discontinued. This is a safety issue because now the srs dashboard light is on which means that the airbag system is offline and will not engage if there is a front end collision. How do I get this recall repairs completed. This is a huge safety problem and I'm concerned that I or possibly a passenger in my car may sustain unnecessary injuries if the airbag system does not engage in an accident. The vsa system light is on the dashboard I took it in for service and the computer is signaling is letting us know that in a case of a accident I wouldn't be safe also the airbags are showing an malfunction it would not protect me because it would not deploy also due to an accident.

As of today, Acura still does not have the parts to fix the defective parts specified in this recall. The recall office of the manufacturer has declined to provide a loaner vehicle or reimbursement during the time when the car is inoperable. Due to this recall, I have been denied to use of this vehicle without any realistic estimated time. Acura projects up to one year before a repair could be confirmed. Acura should buy these vehicles back if it is unwilling or unable to repair these vehicles.

Acura has failed to provide a replacement for the recalled airbags in a timely manner. The recall was issued on 1/17/2020 and it is now 7/2/2020. I have been unable to drive the car in this time for work and other living needs.
