I had an auto accident that totaled my vehicle (2013 chevy Avalanche). It was t-boned by the other vehicle with significant damage from the front quarter panel to the rear quarter panel. All on the driver's side. None of the airbags deployed in my vehicle. The other vehicle that hit me had all of the air bags deployed. I had my passenger airbag replaced, based on a manufacturers recall, this past summer 09/26/2025 at a certified chevy dealer. At that time, they said everything was replaced that needed to be and confirmed that everything was working. Because none of the airbags deployed in my vehicle, I sustained minor injuries, I. E. Cuts, bruises, etc. And my passenger sustained minor injuries as well, I. E. Bruises and neck pain. At the time of the accident, there were no warning lights or messages related to air bags. All manufacturers recalls were already applied to the vehicle and the airbags were supposedly in good condition only months before the accident (I. E. 09/26/2025).

First recall, only dealer on island (hawaii) went out of business and couldn't be done by a gm dealer. Windshield washer fluid heater was removed by a mechanic shop at my own expense. Second recall, the passenger airbag inflator hasn't been done due to the fact that 2007 - 2014 chevy Avalanche, tahoe, suburban & GMC yukon are known for cracked dashboards which includes my Avalanche. My dashboard was cracked before the airbag recall and I covered the dashboard with fiberglass mat and resin to repair it as a new dashboard was not covered by warranty and exceeded over $2,000. 00 to replace. The area to access the airbag is sealed and would require a new dashboard. There is now a new chevy dealer here that can do the recall but I would have to pay the cost to replace the dashboard so it hasn't been done as I'm not able or willing to pay for the additional expense.

Was going down the road and there was a big load bang or pop that sounded like a bomb went and the seatbelts sucked us back and locked us in place and then the service airbag light came on the light stays on the seatbelts are locked up can remove and it was like the air bags says will no longer deploy/work and now can't use the seatbelts and the law says no seatbelt use we get a ticket so now can't drive truck unless I want a ticket. So what do I do now I am disabled and this my only vehicle that I need to get to the doctors with so how to get it fixed is the manufacturer responsiblaby. My email is sharonr4304@yahoo. Com my phone number is 731-257-1235 would like someone to contact me ASAP please.

In December of 2020 we took our vehicle cannon dealership, the 2013 Avalanche had a recall to repair a part for the takata air bag,on January 17,2022 we had and accident, some one pulling a cow hauling trailer pull out in front of us and we hit into the cow trailer, and the air bags didn't deploy. We got injured, and we are still under the doctor,we had $9000 worth of damage, would have been worse if my husband hadn't hit brakes and we were sliding all across the highway we just couldn't avoid hitting the cow hauling trailer thanks barbara hill.

The passenger side air bag was replaced under a current recall (n212328790) however, once they fixed the issue at love chevy (inverness, FL), the air bag light stayed on. It has never shut off and after speaking with the dealership as well as Chevrolet, they refuse to fix the issue they caused. I do not know if the recall has actually been fixed. Additionally, I am unable to refuel appropriately due to another recall (that my vehicle apparently isn't a part of), however, based on the amount of people that have the same problem, it should be a wider issued recall. This is for chevy recall # 08411 for the fuel system control module. It affects the charcoal canister, along with purge value and corresponding lines. Depending on how bad, charcoal canister needs replacement, even possibly the lines, as well as the gas tank. Very expensive fix that chevy refuses to address. This is a common problem that mechanics see with these vehicles.

Have a 2007 chevy Avalanche ltz 5. 3l that has a dashboard panel that is completely falling apart and cracking everywhere. This includes multiple cracks and broken pieces surrounding the airbag. I am worried these pieces could get propelled by the airbag if the airbag were to deploy. These cracks and broken parts of the dash have also caused multiple other things to become loose. The controls on the front of the dash are falling out because they can no longer be bolted to the dashboard panel due to it's pieces being broken. I was hoping chevy had a recall as this is an issue with many of their trucks but could not find any information about it. I was hoping there might be some information or help with supplying a replacement dashboard panel part #15915974 from gm/Chevrolet. Thank you.
I purchased the 2009 Chevrolet Avalanche new in October 2009. While in warranty I noticed the dashboard was cracking and took it to the dealer, four stars auto, in henrietta, texas. At that time I was told they would order a new dash board and replace it. I took the truck in for replacement of the dash board on the scheduled date. After the truck was out of warranty the dash board cracked again in the same place. I suspect the dash was repaired and painted and not replaced, but I have no proof so I did not contact the dealer. Since that time I have learned this has been an issue with other owners of gm trucks and nothing can be done about it other than replacing the dash, which is a very expensive repair for someone that is retired and on a fixed income. My dash board has now cracked in at least four places and seems to be getting worse. I have heard this could cause issues with the deployment of the airbags, not to mention diminished resale value.
I received a letter back in Feb of 2021 advising us about the passenger airbag recall. I was to wait until parts come in from gm. After months of waiting, and confirmation of others that already got the repair done, I went ahead and scheduled the recall replacement with gm themselves, which in turn set it up with ron norris GMC in town. Even though I set this up a couple weeks ago and have received text and email confirmations reminding me of the appointment, I just received a call from ron norris, I was on the way to their dealership to have this recall taken care, telling me gm does not have the part for my truck and did not give me any more information about it. This is a serious issue and I have given them plenty of time to have it replaced. You ordered them to do this and after months they still do not have parts, they are dragging their feet on something that could kill the passenger of my vehicle. Could you please push them to get the part as I do not feel safe having a passenger ride in my truck now. If something happens I will hold you and gm responsible for the delays.

After a couple of years my vehicle developed several cracks in the dash, especially around the airbag. Yesterday I had the airbag recall performed. As a result of the repair, the cracks are now broken pieces. I now fear that in the event of an airbag deployment, shards of sharp plastic will be thrown into the air and could potentially result in severe injury.
Was advised of the recall of my vehicle on Feb 26th 2021 and that the part to fix the problem was not available it is now six months later and have heard nothing and don,t know how log they expect people to wait with a faulty part to be repaired.

February of 2021 I was notified the driver side air bag in my truck I drive daily has an issue that if goes off can cause serious injury or death. That as 6 months ago and still no path forward to fix it, how safe it this for me to drive is death is an option? I feel this would be a concern for drivers and the companies doing more to prevent something if a part cannot be secured. Maybe start offering deals to accept the trade ins so your customer doesn't have to drive around an unsafe vehicle because of supply issues? this needs to be addressed so something silly can be avoided.
Dashboard has 5 large cracks 4 lateral an 1 vertical top front speaker has fallen off clips. Vehicle dashboard started cracking while just sitting over time and while driving road vibration help cracking continue I'm afraid that with the cracking since it is in the passenger airbag area as well it could cause airbag to deploy causing more damage injuries to passenger or a wreck by suddenly going off and causing driver to swerve suddenly.
Dash top cracked in two spots one by airbag.
I have received several notices about having the air bags replaced but the local chev dealer tells me when they get the parts they will call me. When will the parts be ready?.
