Service air bag showed up on my instrument cluster. The code reader shows code b0020-0d, passenger instrument panel air bag deployment loop stage 2 short to battery. The warning has been intermittent for years and then here recently the warning became a steady illumination. When this issue first started it didn't matter if I was moving or or stationary. Now the warning does not go off. I am not 100% positive if the takata recall is what is affecting my air bag but according to the recall it is the passenger side front air bag. Currently my vehicle falls under manufacturer recall number 2049151 and NHTSA recall number 16v381. The recall is currently incomplete, and a remedy is not yet available. I live in texas so as the the ambient temperature increased the air bag issue became worse.

In may 2016, NHTSA recall#16v383, mfg recall#2049152 was issued for takata airbag recall/replacement and nothing from gm has happened. I've made several calls to gm 800 support and continue to get run around- they are dodging replacing this part on my chevy Avalanche. I've recorded in my records and noted who/when I've spoken to there, informimg them that I will hold gm liable for any/all damages civil and criminal shoiuld anyaccident occur that triggers malfunction of this device and any resulting injuries to vehicle passengers.

Dash pad has severe cracking and 1. 5 in hole. . . Concerned about hole around passenger air bag !! dash pad has cracked and opened up over instrument panel!! this all affects the deployment of the faulty taukarty air bag in a crash! this has been an ongoing issue since ownership of vehicle and has just worsened with time. . To do something about it or turn it into a lemon!!.

I had jumped my dead battery and left the truck running. About 10 minutes after being jumped, the driver's airbag deployed. The vehicle never moved and was sitting idly in park and nothing touched the vehicle.

Hello I've been waiting for years on a remedy to fix the takata air bags on my vehicle , is there any resolution to this recall??? need to know what to do or what steps to take. Everyday that I drive my vehicle is another chance for me or my family to be at risk. Please help.

Each time I brought the vehicle the vehicle in to have it repaired, the dealer says there are no parts. Each time I check the VIN site, it tells me that there is no remedy available. When will gm repair these defective airbags? the vehicle is still being used for normal family uses.

While in operation at 55 mph the engin power was reduced after three service appointments repair attempts. Reduced power mode is a condition inserted by the engine controls module as a result of the fly by wire connection. The result was a quick speed reduction to 20 mph as max speed. Dot requires 45 mph, unsafe!.

Dealer wont repair my recall.

I keep getting told I have a takata airbag recall and Chevrolet tells me they aren't going to fix it. I don't know how to get it repaired. They say it's safe, but if it's safe why can't they get the airbag recall rescinded?.

I saw in television the ad saying that I would check my vinyl number because there is a defect in my car's air bags for the manufacturer end.

The airbag deployed when I wasn't driving or hit anything. It was in park. I put my foot on the brake to shift into reverse and it deployed.

It was very hot I was sitting at the red light turned on the air conditioner full blast and all of a sudden the airbag exploded on the passenger side ok.

While checking the VIN the contact discovered that the vehicle was included in the recalls. After contacting the local dealer herb jones Chevrolet(1605 ring road, elizabeth town ky) the contact was informed that the parts needed for the recall remedy were not available. The vehicle had not experienced a failure. The VIN tool confirms parts not available. Jft.

The dash is cracked at multiple places including up to the airbag. I was told by the people who repairs windshield that this is a know problem for Avalanche, silverado suburban. This is clearly a manufacturer defect and should be a recall they are quoting me a $1497 repair fee to replace the dash at the dealer. I contacted Chevrolet for assistance. They offered a $130 good will. . . .

I saw the commercial regarding the airbag recall. My chevy Avalanche was listed. I confirmed with our dealership that it indeed is on the recall list. I've only used the one dealership for this vehicle. They confirmed that they've never fixed it even though they were aware of this recall and have refused to fix it now. I've gone all the way up through chevy the corporation who says they cannot fix my airbag. What do I do now? my husband and son drive this vehicle. We are still driving it. We have to.

Gm has not made parts available to complete this repair. Their website says the NHTSA is still reviewing the need, so no action on their part is planned. Please get gm to complete the repairs on their vehicles.

It's been on recall and gm will not fix it. I'm in danger, you say I'm in danger and the god damn company gm will not fix it.

Takata recall! I have been waiting to get general motors to fix my defective airbag. They have been avoiding the free repair for years! why can't I be able to get the dangers of this airbag problem resolved by now? thank god nothing yet has happened to my family but time will only tell and I don't have the funds to fix this problem as I am on a fixed income.

Takata recall: received notice months ago that I would be notified when parts were available. No contact since. Did check with dealership and was told not parts available. This was over 2 years ago and still no notice. I am concerned because I now have a grandchild driving this vehicle. Is he safe??.

Cracks in dashboard by airbag. Other cracks developing in dashboard as well.

My dash board has cracks and I am concerned that should the air bag go off in an accident the cracked dash may cause injury beyond normal. It has been noted that there are numerous complaints on the internet about this issue. I call to complain on the official gm hotline and was dismissed by the interviewer.

I received the Chevrolet recall, I went to do the airbag repair and they inform me that the company that makes it has gone bankrupt and there is no repair. They also inform me that it is dangerous to use the vehicle since the airbag can cause damage. What I can do?.

A vehicle ran a red light in a intersection and was close to crashing into the front passenger side. My pregnant wife was sitting on the passenger seat. Thank god we did not get hit. My pregnant wife could have been seriously injured with out the passenger air bags not working.
