I was involved in an accident in a rental while driving through illinois. The passenger seat does not detected the airbag. The air bag sign on top indicates off even when there's someone seated on the passenger side. If I get into an accident the air bag will not deploy.

When you seat in the passenger seat, the service air bag will come on. My Impala isn't the only vehicle that is doing. I know several people that are having the same problem. Its the same year and the same vehicle. And what I was told that if I get into an accident my air bag will not deploy. This is a safety issue for the passenger. And could lead to a lawsuit to cheverolt. My car only has 63,000 miles on it. It shouldn't have issues with the airbags.

And people have taken there car in to the dealership to get fixed and the dealership can't figure out why this is happening. And they can't seem to fix it. Plus our service our traction control keeps coming on and the dealership can't figure out why this is happening. This seems to be the problem with this car and the dealership can't figure out why this is happening so they can't fix it. So I'm worried that this car isn't safe to drive because the air bags might not deploy in a accident or if they will just deploy driving down the road.
