Transmission went out it started that when you put it reverse it didn't want to go then put into drive then reverse it worked. Then while driving we pulled into parking spot and tried to reverse it was totally gone. Windshied wipers stop working on and off. You can hear the motor they won't move and at most times it effects the windshield washer fluid so it doesn't work.

Shifts hard and makes a loud sound and jerks the veh. I talked to many transmission shops. And they say that it is very common with the 97 models it cost around $300. 00 dollars to fix. Something to do with shifting tube that has to be drilled out because of fluid pressure. This is also true with every veh with the same transmission. Now you now the truth so fix the problem gm. Your getting as bad as f. O. R. D.

Consumer has had seatbelt repaired under a manufacturer's recall. But, consumer is calling to report that safety belts lock up at all times. Dealer has been contacted. The locking up of the seat belt severely restricts the drivers movement, the lock up problem makes it difficult to steer the vehicle and makes it impossible to reach the trailer-brake controller unit, at times the vehicle will not back up, possible transmission malfunction. Consumer can not get the retractor mechanism to release. Nlm.
