Multiple times moving at slow speeds the vehicle shuts off and all kinds of warnings pop up. Service power steering, service stabilitrak, service trailer brake controller, check engine light ect. When the vehicle does this it loses all power and the steering wheel violently jerks itself to one side. You can tell when it's about to happen because the power steering will intermittently start to struggle and go out and then the whole thing shuts down. Silverado 2014 crew cab 5. 3 with 79500 miles.

You can tell when it's about to happen because the power steering will intermittently start to struggle and go out and then the whole thing shuts down. Pulling into a parking space at a local gas station it almost jerked me into a parked car. Luckily it hasn't happened at a high rate of speed or it will certainly lead to serious injury or death. There are multiple complaints on the net on multiple forums for this specific issue for these specific models and years. My truck has roughly 44000 miles on it. I feel as if I'm getting the runaround at the dealership. Like I stated earlier this has happened multiple times to me and there are thousands out there in the same situation as me. This is a serious safety concern that gm needs to address and fix.

My headlights are flickering. When steering, headlights dim. When using turn signals, headlights dim. Power steering randomly cuts out in parking lots. Trailer brake service warning came up on instrument screen. I read ground g218 is causing a short and I removed the insulation under the nut that could cause high resistance and it fixed everything for about 3 weeks but the lights and steering problem is still happening. Dealer thought maybe trailer brake control system but I did not have them replace, instead found g218 issues online. No open recalls. Sounds similar to other complaints. No codes. No issue with battery or alternator.

It began with the headlights/parking lights flickering for a few weeks. Later the truck began to give error messages about stability control, trailer brake control, and others. Finally it violently jerked the steering wheel out of my hands on numerous occasions (truck has electric power steering). This happened at approximately 45 mph in various turns but I am concerned it could happen at highway speeds which would cause a serious crash and/or death. I am afraid to drive this vehicle especially with my family members on board.
