Coming to a stop the brakes kind of slipped and car would not stop as it should. Abs light also came on. And also made a grinding noise.
While coming to a stop sign, I began to press on the brake as I was stopping my brake pedal started to vibrate. Causing my vehicle to skid just past the stop sign. This has been going on if my abs light on the dashboard is off, my braking is ok. But when the abs warning light is not on I get that vivratiing feeling on my brake pedal just when I'm about to come to a full stop, kinda like pulsating. I been searching in the internet about cases like this and there are recalls, I need to know how can I include my vehicle in the recall. The area that I live in is really close to the ocean.
When driving at low speed and coming to a stop the abs light comes on and the brakes slip and grind where it takes twice as long to stop the car. I have had the car looked at and was told all pads and rotors are fine also told it could possibly be a problem with the the abs system.
Abs light came on. While breaking to enter an on-ramp, steering wheel jerked and passenger side front wheel almost broke off.

Applied brakes after another driver cut me off and the brakes failed. Check brake system appeared in the odometer along with the abs light.
My vehicles abs light just came on for no reason and it takes longer to come to a complete stop when pressing on the brakes. Also, after turning the vehicle off, it sounds like something under the hood is still running and the battery is drained.
Abs light has been on new brakes were purchased and vehicle is not stopping in low mph ex 10 miles per hour vehicle still proceeds and brake pedal is pushed to the floor ?.

Right passenger wheel hub failure on owner's 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe with abs light illuminated on dashboard with grinding noise from wheel. Hub replaced by Chevrolet dealer, and informed that driver's wheel hub needs replacement too. There is a technical service bulletin (TSB) on the issue by Chevrolet, which does not consider this a safety issue, even though the hub has the potential of shearing off at speed.

I purchased this vehicle from my nephew on 11/30/07. Since then, at least a dozen times, the brakes pulsate at very low speeds. An online search seemed to indicate this is a problem with rust or dirt causing the abs sensors to register incorrectly. On 12/05/07, I took the vehicle to a dealership to have the abs sensors and ring cleaned. I was informed later that 3 of the 4 sensors were electrically bad and needed to be replaced and it would cost almost $800. The abs warning light has not once come on to indicate there was an abs problem. Gm should be required to recall all vehicles suspected to have abs sensor/ring problems and vehicles in which the abs warning system does not function correctly.

I own a 2001 chevy Tahoe that has the brake / abs lights coming on while driving. After learning about earlier recall I took my vehicle into a dealership and told them about the problem. The lights did not come on for awhile but started to light up again. I feel the dealership did a 'quick-fix'. I would like to know why I was not contacted about this recall when I have brought my vehicle in before with a previous recall.
: the contact stated the abs light illuminated causing the antilock brakes to malfunction. The service dealer stated the electronic braking control module needed to be replaced. The contact expressed concern that this was a defect.

Brake squel and thumping/vibration, vibration/thumping worse when towing small jetski. Latest dealer vist 1/08/02 states that they are unable to duplicate. Feel is as though the anti-lock mechanism is deploying prematurly. No computer codes or abs lights during thumping.
While driving a whizzing sound came from the abs brakes. Somehow, the computer for the abs brakes caused a lock up. The cost of repairs was quoted to the consumer as $1,100. Took vehicle to dealer, who indicated that abs brakes needed to be replaced.
When the brakes were being applied, the pedal would travel further than normal. Mr although the problem could not be duplicated, the dealer stated that if the abs light did not not illuminate, then there was not a problem.
