Brake Foundation Components Problems of Chevrolet Tahoe

While driving and/or braking, steering wheel will pull to the left. When braking, steering pullled sharply to the left, resulting in vehicle spinning out twice. Dealer found caster and camber out of alignment and performed alignment.

While driving, brakes operated poorly. There was extended stopping distance. Consumer stated that the front end of vehicle vibrated when driving speeds of 50 and over, the dealer determined that the left front caliper was stuck out, also 2 front hubs and a sensor were replaced, consumer also stated there was a problem with the master cylinder.

While traveling at 30 mph consumer applied brakes, and pedal was hard, resulting in a four car collision. Please provide any further information.

While driving 40mph, driver applied the brakes and pedal went to the floor. Vehicle did not stop, only slightly slowed down. Was informed by dealer, after taking vehicle there, that problem was due to air getting into brake lines and causing a loss of brake fluid. Dealer bled brake lines to release the air. Dealer found master cylinder low due to pad wear, replaced front pads, cleaned and adjusted rear brakes as well, consumer also added that brake warning light lamp did not illuminate.

At 14 miles the vehicle developed excessive vibration on stopping at speeds over 4-=50 mph. Dealer resurfaced rotors(front)cleaned cailpers(warranty). At 27,500 dealer again turned rotors, repisced front pads, cleaned and adjusted rear brakes.

While driving brakes started making noise. Had not contact dealer.

From the time of ownership there were concerns with the braking system,when pedal is mashed it would go almost to the floor, master cylinder was replaced,but still did not solve problem there was still no pedal, was advised by mechanic that this is the way new vehicles are being made, second occurrence unable to brake, the vehicle he made an awful noise and had run completley off the and hit the dirt bfore stopping.

Vehicle will not stop had 2 rear-end collisions within 3 months.

While driving on freeway appled brakes and discovered that the pedal kept going down, and by the time he reached safety the reservior was empty , he had no brake fluid, he had no brakes .

While driving vehicle the comsumer tried to stop vehicle, but the brakes didn't respond and had an accident, rearending two other vehicles. The dealer checked everything out. According to mechanic didn't bleed the brakes; the manufacturer said they will investigate.

Front end. Applied brakes, vehicle jerked to right or left abruptly when being applied. Problem with clearance between knuckle and caster.

Anti lock brakes lock up and master cylinder loses fluid.

Abs brake systems does not work, when applied the brakes at 30-40mpg the brakes will not stop vehicle, experience accidents over a 2 year period. Hit two cars due to failure.

Brakes failed.

Front end shimmies when brakes applied.

Consumer states there was a pulsation in the brakes. Took to dealer and dealer replaced brake shoes, drums, rotors, pads, proportioning belt. Consumer states is pulsating again. Please provide any further information. Nlm.

Consumer states brake sfailed within the first 2000 miles and the dealer has failed to provided a remedy for the problem. Yd.

The consumer stated that the brakes failed completely and contacted three dealers. The dealers failed to correct these brake defects.

Vehicle experiencing brake problems. Nlm.

The brakes fail under panic stops,. The dealer found nothing wrong, but the consumer states that the brakes were still unsafe.

Brakes are very spongy and easily go all the way to the floor causing brakes to slip which could result in an accident.

Front brakes failed. Nlm.

Consumer states that the brake makes a loud noise on hard stops and there is extended braking at speeds over 40 mph, brakes have been replaced twice in four years.

When applying the brakes the pedal goes to the floor and the vehicle keeps going. Dealer has not seen vehicle as off yet.
