Bad gas tank, cracked neck, bad gas cap causing state inspection failure and sounds like a safety hazard to me. .
1. Transfer case seized - 4wd failure while driving 2. Fan clutch failure - vehicle does not operate properly in a number of ways.
My 2005 Trailblazer with only 28,000 miles started whining loudly, the lights flicker & the heater turns itself on. A repair shop said it may need a new alternator. Of course, chevy only put a 3 year warranty on it & this all started happening 1 month after the warranty expired.

My vehicle has numerous times quit running (since purchase 2004) by first being unstable and rough engine idle. It's more noticeable after driving for long period of time on highway and then coming to a full stop at an exit; vehicle will surge at low speed/shudder and will stop running. The only way to keep vehicle running is by pressing gas and brake (not safe). Talked to dealership an there is no fix.

Transmission does not shift smoothly and the vehicles seems to "skip" when driving, had checked and was told the transmission needs servicing. Also, several times the car has jumped from 2wd to 4wd on its own, while being driven. Thankfully only when going approximately 10 - 15 mph. Now the service 4wd light is on. Fuel filter needs replacing. Oxygen sensor needs replacing. This car is a 2002 with 71,000 miles.
When I brought this car it started to give me problems. What type of problems you ask problems with the motor and injections. I called many times to the dealership I talked to a guy named henry palacios and he never gave me a solution to my problem. I had full cover on my vehicle but they told me that it didn't cover the problems that my car had. The same date that I brought the vehicle I went out of town and the car completely stop in the middle of the street.
Our family was driving from columbus, ohio to louisville, ky. We had just crossed the state line going up I-75 hill near florance. When my wife said she seen smoke out her side mirror. I looked in rear view mirror and seen a little myself. I was in fast lane running speed limit, all gauges showed all was ok. I put turn signal on to begin finding a place to stop. Other cars near us began blowing horns and pointing at front right side of car. Once we got pulled off side of road, we turned vehicle off. I pulled the hood release of our 2004 chevy Trailblazer. The fire was already flaming out the front of the hood where you could not touch it to open the hood up. Flames were also very bad on the front wheel area. My family exited the vehicle and got safely away. It is now being investigated by gm. Was suppose to hear a update by August 31st on investigation. They moved date to September 2 with no response. I contacted them on September 6 and they said they are awaiting pictures of vehicle to be reviewed. They said they would update me on September 7. This vehicle was purchased new and had just turned 20k miles.
The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that the vehicle surged forward approximately four feet while in the idle position. The dealer inspected the vehicle four times and was unable to duplicate and diagnose the failure. The manufacturer informed the dealer to reprogram the computer. The computer was reprogrammed, but the failure still persisted. The current mileage is 37,000 and failure mileage was 900.
Failure of the engine of a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer in November of 2003. After changing the engine, broken cylinders in the new engine (after less than 1000 miles!) in January of 2004.
Ive had to replace the brake lights on my 2002 chevy Trailblazer twice now. Having almost been rear-ended numerous times and if it wasn't for other drivers telling me my brake lights were out, I'm sure there would have been an accident by now. Also at 41,000 miles now the "service engine soon" light has come on as well.
When the vehicle accelerated it lost power.
Traveling on highway engine dies while going 65 mph . Also dies at idle dealer could not duplicate.
2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer ltz 2wd, engine totally stopped when accelerating onto on ramp of freeway. Driver was able to coast to side of highway without incident. Put shifter back in park, and ignition started successfully.
On some cold starts the auto transmission starts off in second or third gear, it stays that way until the vehicle warms up. This is preceded by the engine idleing faster than usual on the cold start. This is an intermittent problem and has been happeing a few times per month. Two dealers have failed to find the problem.
Consumer states that while driving vehicle will not accelerate and will run at a rough idle, this was caused by a engine coil shortage. Dealer contacted and replaced part. Mr.
Engine problems; vehicle has been taken to dealer five different times, and that problem still exists.
Since shortly after purchase, (Feb. '02) to present (July '03) my 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer ltz 2wd has frequent-to-constant "pinging" in engine while accelerating; flat surfaces and inclines. Higher octane gasoline does not remedy. Representative at dealer's service dept. States this is "normal" with trai*blazers. I am concerned that it is causing damage to the heads.
