1 Brake Abs Warning Light problem of the 2013 Chrysler Town & Country

Failure Date: 05/01/2020

While driving on the interstate when I lifted my foot off of the gas pedal it started to jerk on me, the check engine light stays on and the abs light will stay on, it also stalls at randum anytime while driving, every 2 to 3 years I have to have the brakes and the rotors redone, I had the camshaft sensor replaced and was told that they found metal fragments on the sensor I even saw it and was told that that usually tells them that this is a timing problem and could be the problem for stalling and if that doesn't work then it will be the engine, the timing problem will cost around $2000 along with the cost of the engine if its not the timing, then there is a evaporator core problem that is costly, there is a manifold gasket leak also another $1000,I've always done the service repairs but this is all to costly hate to dump it but now I'm thinking of a different vehicle and not another town n country, will never buy again.

Pavement was wet and went to stop quickly. Abs was enabled for a few seconds then the system shorted, leaving only standard brakes. The abs light, traction control and engine lights came one. The abs system would no longer function. Traction control would not function. This was very evident on ice. Speedometer would not read out. The speedometer would be at zero then when driven the vehicle would ding about every 5 minutes and speedometer would go up and down to zero again. The engine and transmission would not shift correctly. It would always seem to drive in a higher gear. The odometer would no longer function. The electric van doors would not work when the vehicle was running. They would work when vehicle was off. Took van to dealer for repair. The abs control module was faulty and had corrosion on the connections which needed to be replaced. The van was absolutely worthless until this was replaced which cost $850.

7 Brake Abs Warning Light problem of the 2008 Chrysler Town & Country

Failure Date: 07/30/2010

This car has been nothing but problems since the moment I bought it. It is so aggravating that Chrysler won't own up to the issues with these cars. Aside from the multiple recalls this car has had in three years, the break system is awful. I had replaced the front breaks and rotors around 28000 miles (maybe earlier I can't remember). Now the back breaks are shot and once again, I will need breaks and rotors that will cost me $375 according to the dealer. My car has 38,000 miles on it. I have owned Mini vans in the past and many cars and never have I had to replace both front and rear break pads/rotors this soon. My tires are so bald that all four need replacing. Again, I have never had to replace tires this soon on any of my vehicles over the years. The radio sometimes will not come on or will go black. The factory battery needed replacing at 30,000 miles which was extremely unusual as well. The side doors need to manually be closed when exiting vehicle because if I use the automatic switch, they bounce back. I have come out of stores with my doors wide open. When using the cruise control on the highway, the car with suddenly accelerate with rpms going into the red zone. Only way to stop it is to turn off cruise control. This morning on my way to work pulling out of my neighborhood I heard a grinding sound as the car began breaking on its own. Meanwhile the ebs and abs lights came on. I pulled over, shut off the car and turned it back on. Drove up the road and lights are still on. This car is junk all around. I have only had it for three years, still have a car payment. Ridiculous. I may just lease next time. That way Chrysler can pay for repairs.

12 Brake Abs Warning Light problem of the 2001 Chrysler Town & Country

Failure Date: 09/03/2001

Washer and nut came off the front wheel while consumer was going 15mph. Abs light came on as a warning, and vehicle made a grinding noise. Consumer got home, and found caliper was the only thing holding the wheel. Pin was not put in during manufacturing. Consumer states a flat washer and flat nut (not a lock nut) were used, also there is not a crown nut, nor a cotter pin installed. Dealer stated the bearing had come loose from the hub and failed, probably due to insufficient torque on the flat washer and nut.

13 Brake Abs Warning Light problem of the 2001 Chrysler Town & Country

Failure Date: 11/15/2000

Abs warning light remains engaged. Dealer does not know what the problem is. Initially, they said brakes system was failing, then they said brakes were ok, but warning light needs to be reset. Brought the vehicles in twice but still dealer (hopefully, with Chrysler's help) unable to resolve the problem. We are still using the vehicle but are not sure if this is a safety issue or not.
