Air bag light stays on, even with seat belt attached, so this means air bag is not working, not sure driver side, or passenger. Went to Dodge dealer, they would not fix it!!.

The problems we are experiencing is the airbag indicator light keeps coming on and off dinging every time it comes on. The other issue we have experienced is the engine is in need of repair but the check engine light does not come on to let mechanics find the problem. However once every three months the light will come in but once vehicle is turned off the light goes off never to come back on until the next time a few months later. The check engine light issue has been going on for two years.

My vehicle is equipped with headrest air bags. A year ago my passenger side headrest air bag engaged while the vehicle was parked in a parking lot and we were inside a restaurant. There was no damage to the vehicle to indicate it to go off. I contacted Dodge and the dealership and both told me that they would not do anything about this. Fast forward to last week, I was sitting at a red light when all of a sudden my driver side headrest slammed me in the back of the head when it spontaneously went off. I have now been trying to get Dodge to do something about both headrests once again, and I am not being contacted back. I am trying to get the dealership to help and their communication is horrible so I have no idea if I am even getting a resolution to this. I feel that this isn't a random situation and feel very unsafe driving my vehicle with myself and children it it.

All of my problems started about 30-45 days ago. I was drivin along at 65 mph and lights started lighting up on my das and then started flickering. Not long after that the dash would light up and the all of a sudden die and have no power at all. Everything stopped working, radio, clock, sppedometer, etc. Since then the van has been back to the dealership. The first diagnosis was a brake swith relay and they said that should fix it. Well the same problems occured a few more times with no common denominator as to why it was not running. I took it back to the Chrysler dealer and they unplugged the tipm (total integrated power module). They said that cleared all codes and a reset fixes the problem some times. I picked it up the next and everything was for my trip to st. Louis and back. I got in the van later that evening and while driving down the driveway the engine shut off and the van lost all power. I almost too out my fence when this happened. I put it in park and the key wouldn't come out. After a little while the key came out anbd the van finally started. I called the tow truck and had it hauled directly to the dealer. After a few days the determined it was he tipm and the bill was app. $1000. 00. I have a case opened with Chrysler (case #: 31057897) with theresa. After googling the tipm I have discovered that this is a common problem with Caravans, town & country's, Dodge rams, durangos and some Jeep models. This is a very dangerous problem and needs to rectified by chrsler. All of these incidents have occured in various location (pakking lots, driveway, rural highways with no shoulder, stop lights and stop signs. ).

I was notified in early June, 2015 about a safety recall #r03/NHTSA 14v-373 and directed to contact a dealer about this recall. I did so several times and was told to call back later because parts were not available. I called again on 12/14/15 and was put on a wait list of 40+ people to get this fix done. Again I'm told that Chrysler is not sending out the parts. Looks like slow-walking it to me. I formally request that Chrysler be punished for this lack of concern for safety.
