1997 Dodge Caravan gas on the inside of the car
the consumer stated after he filled the gas tank, it quickly ran out. As the consumer was going back to the gas station, the vehicle caught on fire under the hood. The consumer was able to get out of the vehicle safely. The fire department came to put the fire out. The consumer was then informed the fuel rail had burst and came loose which caused fuel to leak, which caused the fire.

Vehicle was taken to the dealer for a heavy fuel smell entering the passenger cabin. Dealer/mechanic determined that fuel was leaking from the o-rings on the fuel injection system.
There was a gas smell inside the cabin of the van upon starting the van or when the heat was on. There was a recall (00v268000) issued for the fuel injection system, but the VIN number was outside the remedy scope.
The fuel injectors had to be replaced at 43,711 because of a leakage. An independent mechanic performed the repair.
The rubber o-rings failed prior to recall notice 00v-268. The consumer requested reimbursement for the repairs. Ph.
The consumer is still having the problem after the recall was perform on the vehicle.

Consumer found fuel in driveway. Thought it was coming from his automobile. Consumer was told by mechanic that there was recall oov268000 on fuel leakage.
The consumer is concern she receive a recall for the fuel rail o ring. Recall numer #895 the dealership has no parts "available" since February 2002 the dealership name anderson Dodge 5711 east state stree road rockford IL 61107. 815 229 2000. Nlm.
Consumer was traveling about 55mph on highway and vehicle started losing power, also there was gray smoke coming from underneath of vehicle. Dealership was aware of problem. Fuel is leaking from fuel rail and o-ring seal onto motor. Dealer has replaced fuel rail/ o-ring seal and gasket. A recall has been issued on vehicle's make and model; however, owner's notification has not been sent.
Fuel injection delivery system leaks fuel from some of the sealing o-ring or from hair line cracks in thermostat fuel injection rail. The o-rings had ruptured on the fuel injection rail causing the fuel to run on to the valve covers and manifolds.

All of these have been told to us that they were not covered by the warranty.
