Fuel Injection Problems of Dodge Caravan - part 1

I purchase this vehicle from owner in Dec. 2013 and start having problem the owner I purchase it from purchase it from a bank back in 2006. They did know about an recall or etc. About this vehcle. The electric has problem and airbags, the fuel tank is leaking and fuel injection and etc,. Where can I can get help for these problems. Etc. ,.

1997 Dodge Caravan gas on the inside of the car the consumer stated after he filled the gas tank, it quickly ran out. As the consumer was going back to the gas station, the vehicle caught on fire under the hood. The consumer was able to get out of the vehicle safely. The fire department came to put the fire out. The consumer was then informed the fuel rail had burst and came loose which caused fuel to leak, which caused the fire.

The contact owns a 1996 Dodge Caravan. The vehicle was repaired according to a recall, but the failure has resurfaced. Fuel is leaking from the fuel rail into the engine compartment, which is a fire hazard. The dealer stated that the contact would be responsible for the repair cost. The contact owns a 1997 Dodge Caravan. The contact stated that the transmission and the o-rings on the fuel injectors are failing. 1998 Dodge Caravan, VIN 2b4fp2530wr839680. I was driving in town and started to smell gasoline. I pulled over to a gas station and the van caught fire. I called the fire dept and they put it out. The van is still sitting at my house. The plastic, hoeses, and belts are melted. I have called daimler/chrystler and logged a complaint. # 12647878 because my VIN is not on the recall list for; fuel system, gasoline: feul injection system.

Vehicle was taken to the dealer for a heavy fuel smell entering the passenger cabin. Dealer/mechanic determined that fuel was leaking from the o-rings on the fuel injection system.

There was a gas smell inside the cabin of the van upon starting the van or when the heat was on. There was a recall (00v268000) issued for the fuel injection system, but the VIN number was outside the remedy scope.

The fuel injectors had to be replaced at 43,711 because of a leakage. An independent mechanic performed the repair.

The rubber o-rings failed prior to recall notice 00v-268. The consumer requested reimbursement for the repairs. Ph.

The consumer is still having the problem after the recall was perform on the vehicle.

When parking vehicle consumer can smell gas on driver's side. Took vehicle to mechanic , checked fuel injector no leak. On August 19th parked on a hill, and consumer noticed fuel in driveway. Please provide any further information.

Consumer found fuel in driveway. Thought it was coming from his automobile. Consumer was told by mechanic that there was recall oov268000 on fuel leakage.

The consumer is concern she receive a recall for the fuel rail o ring. Recall numer #895 the dealership has no parts "available" since February 2002 the dealership name anderson Dodge 5711 east state stree road rockford IL 61107. 815 229 2000. Nlm.

Consumer was traveling about 55mph on highway and vehicle started losing power, also there was gray smoke coming from underneath of vehicle. Dealership was aware of problem. Consumer states the manufacturer issued a recall #895 for fuel rail o-ring leak, but was not implemented. This causes the engine compartment to cathch on fire.

Fuel smell and leakage of fuel was coming from fuel injection through the manifold. Had taken vehicle to dealer, and they could not state what had caused the leakage. Please provide more information.

Fuel rail is leaking into engine. Contacted dealer, and dealer does not know what the problem was.

While traveling felt a gas smell inside vehicle. Dealer has been notified that fule rail had a crack. The description of the failure is the same as that of NHTSA's campain v268000, but the dealer indicated that the consumer's vehicle was not included in that recall.

Fuel is leaking from fuel rail and o-ring seal onto motor. Dealer has replaced fuel rail/ o-ring seal and gasket. A recall has been issued on vehicle's make and model; however, owner's notification has not been sent.

Fuel injection delivery system leaks fuel from some of the sealing o-ring or from hair line cracks in thermostat fuel injection rail. The o-rings had ruptured on the fuel injection rail causing the fuel to run on to the valve covers and manifolds.

Driving along and the windshield wipers come on without notice. Also numerous times having to change out the fuel injection electrical parts. All of these have been told to us that they were not covered by the warranty. We have been told that there was a recall of the master electrical system under the hood of this model of car but we have never received any information of this situation. Please notify us if such a recal exists. We would be very appreciative of this information. We are affraid that it will cause the car to have an elecrical fire.
