Fuel Injection Problems of Dodge Caravan - part 2

I have been seeking information regarding id # 00v26800, numerous e mails to daimler Chrysler have resulted in frustration, ref#8309811 ticket# 207346,I can't get them to answer questions regarding my vehicle, they say it is out of warranty! they say there was no media notification! it was in the USA today!I asked who determines what vans will be recalled and they don't answer. The recall clearly says 1995-1999. Can you please help?.

While driving gas fumes get into to car, and consumer can also smell fumes around the outside of the car. Consumer has contacted the dealer, says that problem is due to integral fuel gas return fitting on tank. Recall was already performed on this part. Problem still exists.

Foia request info re Chrysler minivan recalls initiated 1/25/02, engine and fuel line malfunctions that resulted in fires . Information request from consumers attorney. Attorney is pursuing a wrongful death claim for the consumer. Consumer burned to death in a vehicle wreck in 1997. Campaign id number : 03e053000. This recall only pertains to aftermarket replacement fuel filters and has no relation to any original equipment installed on Chrysler town & country, Plymouth voyager, and Dodge Caravan minivans or any other products manufactured by daimlerchrysler corporation.

Got NHTSA recall notice 00v268000/ manufacturer's recall 895. Called to make an appointment, and dealer indicated there were no parts. Tried to contact dealer several times, but no return call.

There was recall 00v268000 on a fuel injection system. It was confirmed with manufacturer. However, recall did not involve this vehicle. With out warning a fire broke out, resulting in total vehicle damage.

Consumer noticed gas leakage also received recall 00v268000 letter. Please provide any further information.

Problems with fuel rail on 1998 Dodge Caravan. The consumer had taken the vehicle in for a recall repair for the fuel line in which the Dodge dealer repaired it, but there was a continued leak that had come from the engine. The consumer then took the vehicle to good year who replaced the faulty line to stop the leak, and all the dealer did was place a stronger clamp around the leaking line. The consumer was denied a refund, because an authorized dealer did not perform the work. Recall#00v268000 . The consumer also stated the transmission had to be replaced.

Fuel leaking from o-rings. 3. 0 engine not included in recall # 00v268000.

Car only gets 12 miles per gallon--advertises 20 to 25 mpg.

Fuel was pouring out from vehicle when tank was first being filled with gasoline. Dealer has replaced o-ring 2 times/ a filler tube and gas tank once within 2 years. A private repair shop also replaced o-ring once, but defect keeps occurring.

I took my van to carl gregory Dodge dealership because I heard of a recall due to o ring leakage. My van has a strong odor of gas outside & inside the vehicle & I have 3 small children who are exsposed to this daily. They said my VIN. Number wasn't in the recall & refused to check my van for this defect. I am concerned that my vehicle is leaking also. Could you please tell me if recall of fuel injectors has been done ?.

Consumer noticed a fuel leak on the fuel rail of the vehicle. The fuel coil crossover tube needed replacing. Oblivious to the recall, consumer had the mechanic make repairs to prevent a very dangerous compartment fire. Once in receipt of the recall notice, it states that if the repairs were already made prior to the recall being sent, a reimbursement would be granted. Consumer wishes to be reimbursed monies paid on repairs, recall number 00v268.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer for recall repair 00v-268 in reference to the fuel rail crossover tube o-rings, after waiting at the dealer the consumer was told that there were no parts available for the recall and they were not sure when parts would be available. Nlm.

Got recall notice 00v268000 on fuel rails. Had repaired vehicle. However, currently, vehicle stalls. Vehicle was running fine before recall. Not satisfied with recall.
