Tl the contact owns a 2016 Dodge Caravan. While driving on the highway, the engine made a loud noise and shut off. All power to the vehicle, including the power steering, was inoperable. The contact had to guide the vehicle to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the transmission failed. The mechanic also stated that there was an unknown recall for the failure and referred the contact to bettenhausen Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram (8355 w 159th st, tinley park, IL 60477, (708) 532-2665). The dealer diagnosed that the transmission pump fractured and damaged the transmission. The pump was not covered by the recall; therefore, the contact had to pay for the repairs. 2 Transmission Pump problem of the 2016 Dodge Caravan

Failure Date: 12/01/2018

Tl-the contact owns a 2016 Dodge Caravan. The contact stated that the accelerator pedal was applied but failed to respond hesitated than accelerated forcibly. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer courtesy Chrysler Jeep Dodge ram tampa 9207 east adamo drive, tampa, FL 33619 (813) 402-0841 where diagnosed that the transmission pump needed to be replaced. 3 Transmission Pump problem of the 2016 Dodge Caravan

Failure Date: 12/22/2017

Transmission fluid pump failed, resulting in transmission failure. Vehicle began to show signs of slippage, then became inoperable after being parked. This is my fourth Dodge Caravan to have this problem. Failures of the transmission pump all happened without warning at around 55,000 - 80,000 miles. The Caravan also has noisy lifters which I have also replaced on 2 other Dodge vehicles.

4 Transmission Pump problem of the 2002 Dodge Caravan

Failure Date: 03/31/2004

My 2002 Dodge Caravan se has had to have the transmission pump replaced two times in less than 32,000 miles. The service department at my dealer does not believe this is a chronic problem with the Caravan.
