I drove my 2007 Dodge Charger to a local store. I went in and came out inside of 10 minutes. I started my it started making the unusual noise. I then drove it to hilltop Chrysler Jeep Dodge ram located at 3291 auto plaza drive, richmond, CA 94806 (510) 243-6100 where I was charged over $1100 to be told that my engine had dropped a valve seat. I was then told that it would be over $9000 for a new engine as they don't repair old engines.

2 Engine Funny Noise problem

Failure Date: 10/03/2010

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that the vehicle would stall when driving at various speeds, without warning. The vehicle would sporadically exhibit a loud, unusual noise before stalling. The dealer stated that the failure was due to excessive sludge in the oil. The dealer stated that this was from a lack of adequate oil changes by the contact. The contact stated this was not accurate. The vehicle was left with the dealer where the contact was awaiting repairs. The failure mileage was 58,000 and the current mileage was 60,000.
