Air conditioning--still works but at times it shuts of the upper air ducts and I have to shut it off on restart it to make it work right. Engine--- makes a noise ( started at 20,000 miles) took it to a dealer they could not figure out what it was. After warranty was up told its the timing chain. At 92,000 still makes the same noise power window-- passenger side does not work other--1. Radio (tape deck) tape deck turns the wind and rewind on by itself. Have to turn the motor off and restart to get it to quite. 2. Have all kinds of wire problems, all the plastic coating comes off and wires break 3. Tail light plugs won't stay plugged in paint-- chips easily.
2003 Dodge hemi 4x4 quadcab longbox slt 1st. When the pickup runs from day one it has a semi-loud engine noise that comes from the drivers side of the engine that Dodge service technicians have tried to repair several times but can't. 2nd. The pickup has 3 times since new, shuttered when backing up, then shuttered going forward when finally clearing its self running fine. 3rd. When we pull grades with the pickup then need to go down hill or on a flat, the pickup will surge noticeable on the tach and by listening to the engine run. No runaways so far. The pickup has been in the Dodge repair shop many times for repairs and I still do not have it back. As of today 10/24/03 I have been without my pickup this last time for 7 days and have yet to hear anything from the service department at Dodge. I think this pick-up needs to go back to the factory. Believe it or not I still like the darn thing. I need help and advice as to what needs to be done? thank you. Jj.

I was driving through a tunnel in boston and my truck suddenly died for no apparent reason. I was able to pull over far to the side of the road but was still in the travel lane. The odometer was flashing "no bus" and all the dashboard indicator lights were on. The vehicle showed no mechanical signs of failure prior to stalling and made no noise when stalling - it just died. After being towed out of the tunnel (30 min. After the vehicle stalling), I attempted to start the truck and it started right up. I called the dealership and they had no service appointments for one week. This is unacceptable. Then, today (March 21), the truck died again in the same tunnel on my way home from work. This time, it started up after 5 minutes before the tow truck arrived. This is a safety issue and Dodge seems uninterested in fixing it promptly.
Vehicle makes a pinging noise which dealer has not been able to diagnose or repair, vehicle experiencing hard start mostly when the vehicle is cold but sometimes when it is not, it takes more time than is necessary to start.
Since the 8th of June 99, I have had a continuious sound of engine knock, I understand the owners manual says you'll have a faint engine knock noise. What I have continues at all speeds and is worst at higher speeds. Example is on the highway with the radio and a/c on you can here the engine knock. Vehicle has less then 11,000 miles on it. Every time the vehicle goes in for a check the service manager, technicians and upper management says yes there is a problem, but comes time for the work they are unable to find the problem, then they tell me there is nothing wrong. As I leave the dealership the problem still exsist, excesive engine knock and exshaust sounds. I don't drive the vehicle that much due to the excessive engine noise. The engine noise tells me that of a problem does exsists, which could lead to the destruction of the engine.
