Master clutch cylinder / clutch / cvc delete valve complete failure, causing vehicle while in operation to get stuck into gear and clutch to drop to floor. Premature clutch fail due to the cvc delete valve and plastic material used in master cylinder, the cvc delete valve impacts hydraulic pressure of clutch causing a huge safety issue while operating vehicle and driver becomes stranded. The clutch, due to the manufacturing of the plastic fitting disengages making shifting not possible for driver.

My vehicle has a manual transmission, a couple of weeks ago without any warning while I was driving on the highway doing about 60-65 miles per hour, my clutch dropped to the floor and I started smelling my clutch burning. I did not have my foot on the clutch because I was already in sixth gear on the highway. My engine started bogging down and luckily I was near an off ramp and was able to safely get off the highway. I wasn't able to shift into any gear, my engine wouldn't even stay on it kept stalling. Its been almost three weeks now and no one is giving my any answers as to what is going on, all I am being told is that the failure was due to my driving. My car has a little over 43,000 miles, nothing more and my clutch is now in pieces. Some of my clutch is permanently on my flywheel now. I have been driving a manual transmission for over nine years and had driven several vehicles and have never burnt out my clutch. My warranty through car max will not cover it, no one wants to even look at my issue because all they hear is clutch failure and its automatically my fault.

Master slave cylinder leaked down onto the clutch and caused my clutch to fail. Clitch went all the way to the floor and stayed there. This happened around 6,000 miles of driving. It has happened again the same problem at 69,000 miles.
This is a breif summary. There's more details concerning this car that room here doesn't provide. The dual dry clutch shifting failures and hill start assist are addressed here: the car does not immediately move forward when you apply the throttle it can take from 2-4 seconds to go forward when you step on the gas. Not turbo lag. That adds to the time to go forward. Pulling out into traffic or changing lanes can get you killed because it delays throttle response until the computer decides to go. Sometimes turbo, sometimes not at the same throttle position. When coming off the brakes then pressing the throttle, delay and sometimes inappropriate gear selection causes erratic driving behavior. In turns the car comes out of gear on its own with no indication. Step on the gas and the engine revs high in neutral. Now it's coasting through the turn before it will engage in [a] gear. You can seldom drive through a turn. This happens around a normal street corners, and in sweeping turns when you're traveling at 40 mph out of gear. Engaging gears at this point is unpredictable as to which gear the car will select. The hill start assist (hsa) braking program; when stopped pointing uphill, this feature is intended to hold the brakes on for 3 seconds preventing the car from rolling backwards when you move your foot from the brake peddle to the gas peddle. If the hsa fails you have no control over when, or if, the clutch engages into gear. The hsa program in this car randomly fails to hold on a hill. When this happens the ddc also fails to engage in gear. The car totally fails to move forward and rolls backwards revving in neutral toward the cars coming up behind you. You have pressed the gas to go forward and now you're going backward revving in neutral. I now refuse to drive this car. It will sit unused until resolution of this issue. This car needs to be crushed.

The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Dart. While reversing out of a parking lot at 5 mph, the clutch failed to shift out of reverse to go into first gear. The failure recurred once. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 24,000.
Ongoing clutch/hydraulic problems have caused me to be in several unsafe situations. First safety concern was due to car stalling when attempting to accelerate from a stop. There were several times that improper clutch engagement caused the car to jerk and die at a stop. Second concern was from difficulty shifting gears in stop and go traffic due to clutch not engaging fully. Third concern was from total system failure (19426 miles): exited interstate highway and depressed clutch to shift to neutral. While depressing the clutch I heard a loud pop/clunk sound and the clutch instantly dropped to the floor. I then started smelling the clutch burning and had no ability to shift or engage gears. I was left in the middle of the roadway and had to push my vehicle to a safe location on the shoulder of the road thanks to the help of some people that stopped. After towing the vehicle to the dealership for repair, I was told the flywheel, pressure plate, and clutch needed to be replaced (19,426 miles). Fourth concern was a failure of the clutch (approx 34,735 miles): after backing out of a driveway the clutch stuck to the floor and would not return to the normal position causing the inability to shift. After restarting vehicle I had to lift clutch by hand and pump clutch to regain hydraulic pressure. I was told clutch had failed and was blamed for failure from riding clutch mileage problems first reported (I continued to mention problems on later visits): 1555 - noise releasing clutch 2072 - resistance and engagement changing in the clutch mileage/repairs made: 5905 - master cylinder/actuator replaced 19426 - clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel replaced 34747 - clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, and slave cylinder replaced (awaiting amended repair order) after latest repair the car is back in shop due to returned hydraulic pressure variance.
