The contact owns a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500. While driving 15 mph, the hub assembly detached from the bottom of the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, where it was confirmed that the hub assembly was defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. Failure of front wheel bearings on my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 at 29,400 miles. Resulted in loss of brakes almost causing an accident. Wheel bearings were replaced, I do still have the old ones. The left front was so bad it was ready to seperate from the hub. I'm told by the dealer that this is a common problem although Chrysler has not addressed it.
