Dash board crumbles, we have looked to find another dash board and found out this is a problem, almost a joke, we have been told it's a Dodge dash board. . They all do this. I believe it's a safety issue if the truck were involved in a mvc then the pieces of the dash would become flying objects. . And injury any one sitting in the truck. We have owned several Dodge caravans and never had a problem like this or seem such an across the board problem with so many vechlies. Dodge needs to offer a replacement a fix. . Before the worst happens.

I have attempted to get my truck fixed under recall 7 times since they came out. I have been repeatedly been told the parts are backordered and my vehicle can't be fixed. I contacted fca and they told me there was nothing they could do except make another appointment?.

I had an accident related to the driver's side grab handle. I never usually use it to get into the truck, but decided to use it on June 7th, 2017. The truck is hardly ever driven and in very, very good condition. The grab handle was not loose in any way prior to the accident and had never been worked on or replaced. When I grabbed the handle to pull myself into the truck, which was stationary and parked in a driveway, the whole panel ripped right off and sent me falling hard to the asphalt driveway. I fell about 3 feet. By the way, I only weigh about 120 lbs. The fall caused me to break my left hip. I laid in the driveway screaming in excruciating pain and for help until someone found me. An ambulance transported me to a hospital. I had a partial hip replacement due to the hip fracture. Upon inspection, it looked like the panel/grab handle was secured into the body of the truck by plastic discs and clips! I was shocked and assumed something like that would've been secured by a more sturdy material. This accident has been physically and financially devastating for me.

The bottom right side rusting out.

Car accident occurred when vehicles back cab hydroplaned and fishtailed out of control at less then 25mph and hit a tree head on. No airbag deployed and driver was hurt.

Extreme rust and corrosion above both sides of the rear wheel wells. Door locks will randomly lock by themselves while driving, stopped or in park. Has locked me out after stepping out to open a gate, had to go get a spare set of keys to unlock.

Yesterday I noticed something hanging down under my Dodge ram. After a closer look I saw it was my gas tank and the forward strap had came out of its anchor point. I thought all I would have to do is put it back in to the frame but then I discovered that the strap had actually pulled through its anchor spot on the frame and disfigured the anchor point that I can no longer put the strap back on. I can't help but think what could have happened if my gas tank had dislodged from my truck while driving on the highway.

While driving to work I heard a strange sound underneath my truck. I pulled off the road to have a look and noticed the strap that holds the gas tank detached on one side and the front of the fuel tank was hanging down. Apparently the strap support in the frame rotted out. The rear strap attachment also seems to be corroding. I hate to think what would have happened if both straps detached at the same time with a full tank of fuel. I temporarily strapped the tank to the frame, using a ratchet strap, and brought the truck to the dealer. They confirmed what had happened, not covered under warranty, and said I had to take the truck to a body shop to be repaired.

The contact stated that while driving 65 mph, the vehicle experienced what is called the "death wobble" in which the vehicle violently shook without warning. The vehicle was not repaired. Takata recall replacement not available per dealer; I requested passenger side air bag be disconnected and dealer refused; NHTSA should require dealers to disconnect when it is known these bags can kill you until replacements are provided; also I have 3 spots of rust on my hood and one where rusted all the way threw metal.

There is corrosion on the lower doors and over the rear wheels the truck is only eight years old and has been washed regularly but I have noticed this problem with more than just my truck.

The dash pad has suddenly developed a large crack across the top. I'm concerned that should my airbag deploy, this piece will shatter and cause the airbag to deflate prematurely, or cause injury from plastic shards. This occured while the vehicle was stationary, and unoccupied.

Dashboard made of inferior plastic material that has spider cracks and disintegrated in some areas. The results are jagged pieces that can injure drivers and passengers in a vehicle crash due to the impact itself and deployment of the airbags. With the most recent recall regarding the air bag inflators, the chances of creating additional fragmentation in an air bag deployment is made more likely.

Tl-the contact owns a 2003 Dodge ram 2500. -the frame was severely corroded. -vehicle unsafe to be driven ( diagnostic by independent mechanic ) -rust -the contact drove the vehicle to an independent mechanic, they determined vehicle not safe to be driven. Truck is making a loud whining noise that seems to be coming from the rear end and the front gas tank strap has come loose from the frame. The slot that it is supposed to be fastened to is rusted completely out. This is a severe safety hazzard that could be very deadly if the tank comes off.

The contact owns a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. While driving approximately 20 mph, the driveshaft detached from the rear of the vehicle without warning and the rear axle locked up. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the pinion nut detached from the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was excluded from NHTSA campaign number: 14v796000 (power train). The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 150,000.

The contact owns a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500. While driving 40 mph, there was an abnormally loud noise under the vehicle. A couple of days later, while inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed that the frame was cracked. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Ram box plastic lids seem to be releasing fiberglass like fibers into skin developing a rash when touched or rubbed. When leaning on the lid with forearms, the skin experiences severe itching, a rash and discomfort just like having fiberglass slivers in your skin as happens when handling fiberglass insulation material. It takes several days for the itching of scrubbing with soap and water for the itching to subside. It has happened to me and my children. Since identifying the source of the itching, I have found numerous complaints by other owners of 2009 Dodge ram trucks with the ram box. I also found unconfirmed information that Dodge may have changed the manufacturer of the ram box lids for the following year model. Having called the Dodge dealer and the national Dodge warranty office, they indicated that there is no recall on the ram box lids and they have no record of an issue.

In addition, after the vehicle was mounted on jack stands, it was discovered that the frame was corroded. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. Dash is falling apart. Every day pieces are coming off. Also I need to replace the heater core and I'm afraid the that the dash will completely fall apart.

The truck is falling apart. The welds are coming apart & the whole body is rotting faster than I can fix it. I will not be able to get another inspection sticker. I have replaced the transfer case, water pump, serpentine belt & pulleys, rear drive shaft, upper & lower ball joints, tyrods and the whole brake system. The truck needs to be recalled.

Every second generation Dodge ram truck has this issue. The dashboard falls apart and shatters into sharp knife-like pieces of plastic that can and do blow into your eyes while driving or cut you while driving or stationary. I fear that if my airbag deployed the sharp pieces of plastic that would be sent flying could injure me or even be fatal. This is a very common problem that is very well documented. The fact that something this common and dangerous hasn't ended in the result of a recall or replacement is astonishing. I love my truck but I am so afraid to drive it. Thank you for your time.

The lock/latch assembly failed in drivers side front door. The door will not unlock with key, remote, I can't unlock with the knob either it is froze in the down (lock) position. I am waiting for quote from dealer sounds like it is going to be $250 or so to fix.

Conversion van --while parking at children's school heard a very loud snap-noticed front wheels turned outward. Van towed to shop. Told by mechanic that pitman arm snapped off at frame--can not be repaired due to extensive frame rot. Snapped at mounting bracket bolts missing . Nothing left of frame to attach new parts . Purchased 11 months ago and driven approx. 6000 miles. Mileage at purchase only 63,052. Sitting at repair shop not drivable will need extensive costly frame repair. Dealership unwilling to help.

My 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 gas tank almost fell out causing almost an explosion of tank. Reason: the tank is held in by two metal straps one side is attach to a frame bolt the other side of the strap is a t shape that slides into a t slot in the frame now what happen is the t section pulled right through the frame causing the tank to drop almost to the road the remainder of the strap was hitting the driveshaft causing sparks if the plastic tank hit the ground it could explode. Dodge rep had mention to me this is a common issue. So I think there should be a recall on this issue.

The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. While the vehicle was at a repair shop, the technician informed the contact that there was corrosion on the rear driver side wheel well. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was approximately 98,000.

Tl- the contact owns a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that while approaching a stop light the front drivers side wheel bearing seized and fractured with no warning while at a low rate of speed. The front fender was damaged, the drivers side hub assembly and the front drivers side tire was destroyed when the failure happened. The vehicle was towed to the contacts residence and was to be inspected and diagnosed to determine how this failure happened. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the concern with scheduling the two air bag recall repairs. The approximate failure mileage was 71,000. Parts distribution disconnect dyd.

Team: I was instructed by Dodge to drill a weep hole for the other side of the same cross member which has brake/gas lines attached to it. That side is completely rusted out too. There are brake/gas lines attached to a rusted out piece. What happens when it falls off? no brakes fireball I need someone to get on Dodge's bumper. Dodge needs to pay for a new frame or vehicle. While driving vehicle I heard occasional scraping noise and had other vehicles flash lights at me. I pulled off the road in the 1st safe area and found front of fuel tank hanging down approximately 8 inches and the front retaining strap disconnected. I thought the strap had disconnected but upon further inspection by my mechanic found that the frame was rotted through where the strap attaches. Mechanic states that I was lucky not to lose the tank, poor design and that this should not happen to a 6. 5 year old truck. I contacted dealer and was told it was not covered by warranty. Suggested I contact Chrysler. Chrysler says they cannot help even though obvious safety concern. My Ram 1500 is my every day vehicle. I do not use it for work or plow with it. Truck has been well cared for. Design needs to be investigated.

I heard a noise while traveling as if something had broke underneath the vehicle. I pulled over and looked underneath and could see the front fuel tank mounting strap had disconnected and the forward part of the fuel tank was hanging down only being held by the rear fuel tank mounting strap. Upon closer inspection I found that the front fuel tank mounting strap was intact but the its frame attachment point had rotted through.
