Dodge Ram 1500 owners have reported 1 problem related to transmission shudder (under the power train category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
There is a shutter or vibration in the transmission while driving at approximately 1500 rpm. It feels like a miss in the ignition system, or as if th etransmission is shifting back and forth between gears, it may be related to the eco boost stystem on hte hemi engines. It has been to the dealership 3 times for the problem. The first two times I was told the mechanic was able to reproduce the condition but there is no fix for it at this time. The truck was brought to the dealership for the 3rd time last week, approx 8/5/2011 and an update was installed to the transmission changing the shift points. The condition improved slightly, but the vibration and shuttering is still present. I was told it was a condition that I would have to live with and all the new hemi engines have that. The vehicle is a 2011 Ram 1500 crew cab 4x4 big horn short bed with the hemi engine.
