Brake booster has failed, and now engine won't idle properly and stalls due to vacuum leak from the bad brake booster. I had reported symptoms (hissing, occasional hard pedal, etc. ) during service visits while my "bumper to bumper" warranty was still in effect, but was told it was "noise from the new brake pads" and it just needed the brake fluid topped off. Symptoms persisted, but then service bulletin 13n02 was announced, and because my car was manufactured 2 months before the dates covered in the service bulletin the dealership has still refused to cover the costs. So I now have a 2010 Edge that is not only hard to stop, but also now stalls out when it does stop!.

Car will stall and go into limp mode, yellow wrench appears on left hand display. This has happened twice within the last 3 months, once in the middle lane of a rush hour freeway travelling at 40mph. I was lucky to get across to the shoulder before I lost all momentum. No response when pushing the accelerator, engine shakes badly. Have to restart the car in order to continue travel. All research points to faulty electronic throttle body. Ford service center advisers agree but refuse to perform repair under warranty as there are no codes. The codes get wiped after restarting the engine.

I purchased a new 2015 Ford Edge titanium fwd in June 2015. It stalled twice in the 1st month I owned it at a stop light and then a stop sign. Then it didn't stall again until Sep 2016 after exiting I-79 and coming to a stop to turn. On all occasions the engine start button was flashing green and the dash was fully lit up with a notice that full accessory power was available. On all times the engine restarted ok. The dealer could not find any computer fault codes and even put on a flight recorder(black box) but in 2 weeks it didn't stall so I could not set any data by pushing the joy stick. Rather than do nothing I asked if the could perform TSB 15-0123 pcm recalibration with the latest software just to be sure that wasn't a problem that I noticed on other websites and Ford has a record of it. It just now a wait and see if there's any further stalling. There is also a mention that a throttle body could be the problem but Ford doesn't want to do anything until a computer says there is a problem and with what! this could be dangerous. The service dept. Filed an engineering hotline case#307336. Don't know what became of that.

Was driving approx. 45 mph coming thru a 5 corners major intersection at peak traffic time of 5:15pm. Driving on state farm to market road in town of 100k residents. Had been driving approx. 3 miles. Temp in 80's, roads dry. Complete loss of power, nearly rear ended. Car crept a little, moved to middle turn lane, strong forward lurch/jerk, yellow wrench light on. Put car in park, turned it off. Tried to start, nothing. Sat about a minute, tried, started. Limped to parking lot. Turned vehicle off, sat for about 20 minutes. Then took route home going thru subdivisions where stall would not jeapordize life. Could not drive to dealer as that would involve highway, and risk of fatal accident. I was very fortunate today, have never been that scared driving a vehicle in 40 yrs of driving.

I was starting to drive on the busy street at about 30 mph when of the sudden the vehicle slowed down to maybe 5 mph within 2 seconds, mind you my foot was pressing the gas pedal at the time the car lost speed, light comes on, something to do with hill assistance, then the wrench light come on, luckily this happened just before the intersection and I decided to go to the left turn lane. I was able to pull to the side of the road at a 2-3 mph speed, turned the car off and back on with no problem, drove it home. This morning (7:00am) I drove my car to the Ford dealership in town, explain the issue to the adviser, she said sounds like the throttle body. They worked on my car, got the phone call around 3;00pm that my car was ready I picked up, this is what the invoice says: 4722 defective etb. Light off, obtain p2111, perform a datalogger road test and make a recording. Review recording. At time of power loss etc actual ande desired way out of spec, t/p readings are erratic and full of spikes, install a new etb, clear code and road test, engine runs good, full power, light off and no codes return. Will see how this works. . . .

Vehicle lost power and would not accelerate when gas pedal was pressed but it never shut down. Vehicle stalled but the air conditioning, radio, windows etc continued to work. Vehicle's engine stayed on and continued to sputter and the "yellow wrench" engine warning light came on. The vehicle was in a straight forward motion, moving less than 35 mph, in use for less than 5 minutes, the weather was hot and the roadway was dry. The vehicle eventually stopped in the middle of the roadway partially in the intersection. After some research, apparently there are others who have had a similar experience resulting in the replacement of the throttle body assembly.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Edge. While driving approximately 65 mph in two lane traffic, the vehicle randomly stalled without warning. The contact was able to coast the vehicle over to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was determined that this was a known issue by the manufacturer and that the throttle body needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided no solution. The approximate failure mileage was 4,500.
Going up a hill, stalls out "low oil pressure" indicator came on. Also the door security beeps when the passenger door opens first.
Car has stalled two times, one time was while driving and turning into oncoming traffic. The car was going full speed 55mph , had no issues leading up to it, I slowed down to run and it completely shut down - no power steering, no acceleration it was dead, the engine was off but the car was still on. Obviously this was a horrible time for it to die. I was able to, barely, make the turn without power steering and pull over. I shut the car off, turned it back on and it was fine. The other time it happened was my 16 year old daughter had just started the car, put it in reverse, again the car on but nothing was happening. The issue I have here is judging by the online posts this is happening to a lot of Ford SUV's but because this isn't a recall the service people have to see it actually happening, so it never can get fixed, because it is very intermittent. I am very disappointed in Ford and not issuing a recall, putting lives in danger - I will be selling all of our Fords ( we have 3).

Vehicle stalled again. First time October 2015 (filed a complaint). I was traveling on a road at relatively low speed and vehicle just stalled. Restarted quickly, a vehicle should not just stall for no reason, especially a new vehicle.

On October 27, 2015, my Ford Edge sel 3. 5l w/ 4,500 miles stalled after I came to a complete stop and attempted to make a righthand turn. As the vehicle entered the intersection, it stopped responding and stalled. No warning or other symptoms occurred. No warning or error codes displayed. The left message center displayed "full accessory power active. " this situation is dangerous as there is no warning and the manner in which it stalls/loses power does not give the driver any indication the car has stalled. Suddenly and without any alarm or error code, the vehicle lost power and stopped responding.
In a parking garage, turning right at slow speed and vehicle stalled. No warning, all was going smooth until vehicle just stalled. Vehicle restarted. Informed dealer. Dealer service department "reprogramed pcm per TSB 15-0123". Thought all was taken care of until stalled again in March. So reporting now.
While driving on interstate the vehicle all of a sudden stalled. The engine was still on and running but while depressing the accelerator there was no response. Was forced to carefully pull off to the side of the road. Turned the vehicle off and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle started with no problem. This was a scary situation no one should have to go through. The vehicle was checked out by 2 mechanics and they could not diagnose a problem. Checked with Ford and was no told there were no recalls, after I explained my situation. After researching the internet I realized others were having similar problems. Throttle body housing issues were described repeatedly. At my expense had the throttle body housing assembly removed and replaced. This is a very serious situation that needs addressing by Ford motor company. As a retired houston firefighter I saw my share of horrible injuries as a result of motor vehicle accidents. The car in question belongs to my daughter and it is her first. If anything were to happen to her my family would be crushed. I am seeking some answers to why Ford has not done something about this major problem. This is a major problem that not only needs addressing but needs to be resolved before someone is affected in a tragic way.

My new Ford 2015 Edge has stalled on me and on the dealership 6 times in 3,000 miles. This forum asks for specifics, so here is one example. I was turning right into traffic, I went to accelerate, and I had no power. The dash lit with a message "accessory power active". I had to pull over and restart. I have had this car at the dealership on and off for over 75 days. Ford issued a TSB #15-0123 on 8/10. My car's computer was updated on 8/12. I was assured by Ford and the dealership that this problem was "fixed". But it is not, I had another occurrence of the stalling issue again on 9/11. The dealership and I have asked Ford for a "buyback" and have been refused twice, without specifying a reason. My car is not fixed, and yet Ford demands I take it back. I have had to park my car, and I cannot drive it. It is a safety hazard, and an accident waiting to happen. I am attempting to arbitrate with Ford on my own. They have had my car 20+ days longer than I have had it in my possession. This is an intermittent problem, and there is no telling when it will happen. I cannot believe Ford has forced me to take the car back. Three of my stalling issues have been in high traffic areas. I have not received what I've paid for. Shame on Ford for wanting me to risk my welfare and the welfare of my passengers in a car that has a major defect.
The contact owns a 2008 Ford Edge. While accelerating from a stop, the vehicle would not move and suddenly all the gauges illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle stalled and was able to be restarted. The failure recurred a couple of times. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but was not diagnosed. The vehicle was repaired, but the remedy failed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The VIN was unavailable. The approximate failure mileage was 119,000.
Car stalled twice. Previous complaint filed but I called after finding recall number 10s14. Claled Ford and they told me not covering my VIN even though situation is the exact same happenings. Your rep told me to file a new complaint becasue he coud not update the one previously submitted; odi number 10715241. He stated that they would investiage and psossible add my VIN to be covered under this recall.
Car stalled three times. Power went off and I was almost rear ended. Told it's the throttle accuator stuck open. Error 2111, picture of wrench and now engine light on. Even though I found this on your website fird refused to cover. May of the same complaints on all social media sites. Ford gave me case number cas7141825.
