While making a low speed left hand turn, the driver heard a loud bang and the card stopped dead in the road. Upon investigation the right wheel including the disc brake rotor, caliper, and wheel has separated from the transaxle. The half shaft was pulled completely out of the transaxle and the wheel assembly was held onto the car by the brake line and the shock strut assembly. The lower control arm was completely separated from the wheel. The car was completely undrivable at this point and had to be towed.
