1 Transmission Not Go Into Gear problem

Failure Date: 02/23/2021

Had a recall on my 2011 f150 . I took it and got it fix for the 12c23 a/t range sensor and its still doing that same things , it goes into reverse but want immediate on the dash of my f150 and this condition increases the rick of a crash or someone being hit because the truck isn't signaling it's in reverse . So the time I took my truck in to get this problem fixed it didn't fix the issue and when I get in reverse and back out , I have to put truck in park and cut to rest it because if not the truck will not shift gears . I took it back to Ford and was going to charge me 2800. 00 for lead frame and cpm.

2 Transmission Not Go Into Gear problem

Failure Date: 02/05/2021

The transmission will not shift into gear from first gear. The rpm gauge goes up but transmission won't change gears. I have to disconnect the battery to get it going again and I am not getting a check engine light or code. I will also down shift while driving on the highway or get stuck in one gear depending on what gear I am on. It has done it several times already the last time was on February 05, 2021.

3 Transmission Not Go Into Gear problem

Failure Date: 04/26/2019

Transmission shifts from 3rd gear into 1st gear without notice, causing the truck rpm's to spike and the truck comes to a sudden stop, once control is regained the transmission will not shift out 1st gear for several minutes and must be driven very slowly to prevent the engine from over revving.

4 Transmission Not Go Into Gear problem

Failure Date: 03/25/2018

While driving on the interstate at 70 mph my speed information screen showed the wrench and the transmission down shifted to a lower gear. I had to pull off the interstate and restart the vehicle after waiting a few minutes. After I restarted the vehicle the check engine light and wrench went out. Subsequent problems have been the transmission will not shift out of gear and the information screen shows the wrench. My local mechanic said the following p codes were present, p0720 and p0722 and advised there was a recall for my specific transmission. When I called Ford they said that even though my transmission was experiencing the same problems as those under recall my specific transmission was not on the recall list.

5 Transmission Not Go Into Gear problem

Failure Date: 04/05/2017

Transmission may not go into reverse or when the driver pushes the shift lever in the reverse r position and the vehicle's transmission does go in reverse, the r may not illuminate on the dashboard of the F-150. The backup lamp on the rear of the vehicle may not illuminate. This was a previous recall for this year model but I have been told my truck was not affected. Every symptom descrided is exactly what is happening to my vehicle. Any time I put the vehicle in reverse the "r" on the dash does not light up and it takes approx. 5-10 seconds for the vehicle to go in to the reverse gear at which time a yellow wrench appears on the dash. The reverse lights do not come on and the reverse camera does not activate. After the wrench appears the transmission will not recognize any gear. I have to shut the truck completely off and restart for drive to function correctly.

While traveling on a city street, my truck suddenly downshifted into a lower gear (3rd) causing the truck to suddenly slow in traffic. Transmission would not change gear after that.
