3 Vehicle Shudder problem

Failure Date: 04/02/2016

Under acceleration the vehicle shudders, and shakes. It seems to lose power for seconds before it picks back up. Has happened several times while pulling my camper and passing vehicles on highway and interstate. The other day while driving down the parkway the truck down shifted from 6th gear to 1st or 2nd without warning. I was almost rear ended and had to drive off onto the shoulder to avoid the collision. I have contacted Ford and I will be taking the truck in for warranty work on Wednesday April 6th 2016. I only have 3k miles left on power train warranty and none left on bumper to bumper. I purchase Ford vehicles cause of there long lasting and reliable reputation. I have two children and wife that I expect to keep safe while driving this truck. I hope Ford will look deeper into the problems at hand, dont be like gm and kill people before you fix the issues.

Failure Date: 03/05/2013

My Ford f150 eco boost lost power suddenly while trying to enter a rural route at a stop sign. While trying to accelerate it just died for several seconds and then took off since I was pushing on the accelerator wondering what had just happened . The vehicle has been shuddering a lot on acceleration now with a substantial loss of fuel economy . I have personally had it at two Ford dealership which say they can find no problem with it , but shop forman told me and my wife we where stuck with it and to fix it by pulling the battery cable off every once in awhile.

7 Vehicle Shudder problem

Failure Date: 10/03/2012

Vehicle began shuddering heavy between 40mph and 50mph. Requiring me to depress the gas petal heavy to avoid the shuddering, its almost impossible to drive my vehicle at 45 mph (which is the speed limit in most of the area I drive in). This occurrence is when 5th gear changing to 6th gear, which is typical between 45 mph. Not sure what damage this is doing to my vehicle, let alone the safety risk this may be causing. I have had the vehicle in the dealership at lease 6 times for this issue and with no results of the issue being resolved. Just the run around and false promises. 2011 f150 5. 0 motor and 3. 55 gear ratio.

8 Vehicle Shudder problem

Failure Date: 06/09/2012

While traveling down I-55, towing my travel trailer on a trip from st. Louis, mo to gulf shores, al, vehicle experienced a total loss of power on the interstate. I had been driving multiple hours in the rain when in jackson, ms, I had to let off the gas to allow other vehicles to merge onto the highway. When I re-applied the gas, the vehicle started shaking violently and would not accelerate. This caused the vehicle to lose speed and drop from around 60mph to 35mph on the interstate. After letting off and re-applying gas about three times the vehicle finally recovered and I was able to continue on my way. Luckily the other drivers on the highway were able to avoid me and I was not rear-ended or otherwise caused a serious accident.
