When driving, the truck will die. Sometimes truck can be restarted other times had to have it tolled. We have replaced fuel pressure regulator, regulator, start switch r&r instrument cluster, alternator, batteries and the problem still exist. Have taken it to a Ford dealer and they can not find the problem. They say it is not covered on recall 05v270000.

The contact stated that the brake pedal had to be pumped several times and the steering wheel became difficult to maneuver. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the battery, alternator, and fuel injection control module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road, turned off the engine, and restarted the vehicle. The dealer replaced the engine harness and cam sensor, but the failure recurred. 2004 Ford f250. Consumer states faulty icp sensor or faulty egr valve
the reverse planet gear in the transmission was replaced. The egr valve replaced three times, the egr cooler, oil cooler were all replaced. The r&r turbo intake was replaced twice, the turbo inner cooler, wiring harness on the engine, transfer case, ficm module were replaced. The alternator and battery were replaced three times, the valve assembly, high pressure and regular oil pumps were replaced and a new egr shield was installed. The vehicle also stalled while driving down the interstate.

2006 Ford f250 superduty generator is faulty as stated by Ford technical service bulliten dated September 19th 2006.
2005 Ford F-250. Consumer states engine failure the consumer stated the engine failure nearly caused an accident, when it shut down on a major highway. Subsequently, the consumer also experienced a failure with the fuel injection control module. After having the fuel injection control module replaced, the check engine light illuminated after leaving the dealership. The check engine light illuminated due to a failed egr valve. The consumer was also informed the alternator was spiking, and needed to be replaced as well as the egr cooler and head gaskets.

Thursday January 18, 2007 the vehicle's battery were not charging. The dealer tested the system and determined that the alternator had overcharged the system and burnt the main harness coming out of the alternator. The dealer said the entire harness will have to be replaced along with the alternator which was putting out 17 amps.
The contact stated on June 24, 2006 the vehicle battery light illuminated. When the dealer was contacted, they recommended the vehicle to be towed to the dealership. This is the fourth time vehicle has been taken to the dealer for alternator. The first three times, the vehicle would not start and the alternator was replaced by the dealer.

Was driving and applied the brakes, pedal started to chatter. Stopping distance was diminished. Took to dealership and was informed that rotors were warped. Was not under warranty for repairs. Electrical crossed wires in alternator system were smoldering. It was repaired. Front end would make clunking noise while turning. Nothing was found.
