The trucks electronic system is all messed up. The temperature for fahrenheit shows at time to be 142,165 which we know is not correct. Then while driving the dash displays a message that truck is going to shut off and it does while we are are still driving. Dash will display that we have a trailer hitched on when we do not. Many different alerts show up on the dash while in drive mode. We bought the truck brand new and it barely even has 18,000 miles on it.

Parked at gas station, after fueling attempted to start with key and engine started but electrical systems did not register that vehicle had started. Turned engine off but engine continued running. Additional attempts to start vehicle made no difference -- engine continued running but vehicle could not be shifted out of park. Called dealer and was advised to pull fuel pump fuse to stop engine. Towed to dealer and dealer determined that water had indruded into battery junction box and junction box needed to be replaced at owner expense. Ford technical service bulletin 20-2298.

I hit an elk at 65 mph while pulling a flatbed trailer loaded with 4000 lbs of hay. The crash warning light did not come on nor did the air bags deploy. The whole front end of the truck is badly damaged. I contacted my local Ford dealer with this information and was told by the service agent that the body shop will handle this. As my concern is how hard do you have to hit something to get the airbags to deploy. I’m concerned for my safety while driving this truck again if it can be repaired. I’m taking it to the repair shop today. I wanted to report this as Ford will be zero help moving forward.

I just had to replace the ecm because it fired. After replacing that it still won't start. I've talked to multiple people who have had the same problem.
My rear window blew out well it was parked and my baby was in the back in her car seat glass was all over her in her hair and got cuts on her legs.
The electical system seems to have a bad connection. This can sometimes be triggered when releasing the parking brake. Most often the issue occurs when driving where all gauges go offline and numerous errors are thrown on the display. Most times you can reconcile the issue by wiggling the wiring harness under the stearing wheel located near the parking brake. This vehicle has not been inspected. I have talked to local repair shops and they have verbally quoted prices too high to trace it down. It does not seem to be temperature related. Unplugging the wiring harnesses and plugging them back in does seem to help for a short period of time. This has occurred over 30 times in the past 2 years. The truck has less than 40,000 miles on it. The truck will not start when it is having this issue but thankfully will continue to run if already started.

We called our local Ford dealership, matthew Ford of pryor (oklahoma) and made an appointment for the safety recall of replacing the clock spring. They proceeded to attempt the replacement and in the process damaged the steering column module, part no. Gc3z3f791ka. We are now being told that Ford does not have the necessary steering column module part and nobody manufactures it for our trim level, platinum. Consequently, our truck is not able to be fixed and returned to us in the same condition it was given to the dealership. It is still at the dealership, in pieces. We dropped it off on March 27th, 2025.

Electrical system fails every day. It affects the engine, transmission, radio, windows, gauges. Wiring issue causes the radio to just go out, windows stop working, all gauges stops working, the transmission doesn't shift right, engine doesn't run right. Yes vehicle is available for inspecting. Engine cuts off and won't start back, leaves you stranded side the road. Truck stalls in front of other vehicles. Windows won't roll down when it's 100 degrees inside truck. Fuel gauge doesn't let you know when there's no fuel again leaving you stranded beside the road. Other gauge don't work could cause more damage. Yes it has been inspected my mechanic and he said there are wiring issues. No warning lamps or anything now but the wrench light has came on allot. There is a wiring recall on this year truck but said mine doesn't fall under that recall and I don't know why because I'm having this issue.

On Tuesday, [xxx], at approximately [xxx] pm, I was driving southbound on [xxx] near coalinga, CA, when my truck suddenly experienced a failure. I noticed smoke in the side mirror and asked my passenger to confirm. Moments later, a "low fuel pressure" message appeared on the dashboard, and smoke began coming from the hood. I immediately pulled over and attempted to pop the hood, at which point flames erupted from the engine bay. The fire quickly spread, fully engulfing the vehicle within minutes. Emergency responders, including cal-fire and chp, arrived on the scene. The truck was towed by cal-state towing service in huron, CA. The fire captain on site provided an incident card, but the full fire report is expected to take at least a week to obtain. There were no prior indications of mechanical issues before this incident, and no recent repairs or modifications to the fuel system or engine. However, I recently became aware of an ongoing NHTSA investigation into fuel leaks and fire risks in Ford super duty trucks equipped with the 6. 7l diesel engine (tfl truck report). The investigation highlights a potential issue with fractures in the secondary fuel filter housing, which could lead to fuel leaks and fire hazards. Given that my truck displayed a low fuel pressure warning immediately before catching fire, I strongly suspect this failure may be related to the issue under investigation. The truck is currently in tow yard storage and is available for inspection upon request. This incident posed a serious safety risk to myself, my father and others on the roadway, and I believe it warrants further examination by NHTSA. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

I kept smelling a burnt plastic smell. Eventually my driver side rear door did not lock. Upon inspection of the wiring the wire harness from the door to the truck showed the wires on the truck side had burned/melted the sheathing off the wires and leaving them exposed and touching.

This car has had a recall for almost year. I’m am terrified to drive my truck especially with my kids in it. Sometimes if I press the gas trying to cross traffic, it takes a while to go. Also sometimes it won’t crank up and start. It takes awhile few tried. My back up camera doesn’t work the way it should.

2 years ago both batteries needed replacement on my 2017 diesel f250. I noticed passenger positive battery cable at battery had a large amount of what I can only describe as large amount of gray cottage cheese on the passenger positive battery connector and cable. Dealer suggested a wire new battery cable which is actually a wiring harness ($2300) if they could not repair the issue. Luckily they were able to clean the cable connector and down the cable which was also affected. They also treated the cable and connector so it would not corrode further. Unfortunately the design of the cable is flawed as approximately 1 to 2 inches of bare cable before the connector is exposed without the red rubber coating to the battery gasses which causes the corrosion to travel down the cable/harness. During the last 2 years I monitored the cables for corrosion and they have held up well with no corrosion. Recently I noticed starting becoming a little sluggish plus I got an alert that said adaptive steering fault service required. This also caused the steering wheel to turn to the left to the 10 o’clock position when going straight. Noticed on google that voltage could affect the adaptive steering component. Assuming my batteries need replaced luckily under warranty the dealer inspected the truck. Their verdict so far is that I need a new positive battery cable wire harness at an outrageous cost of $4596. 59! a price increase of $2296 in 2 years. They also want to charge $465. 88 to diagnose the adaptive steering fault alert. I contacted Ford consumer on the issue because this is a known issue on other models and years but not mine. I’ve actually known others with same battery harness issues going back years. Unacceptable! the truck has approximately 75k miles.
Automatic emergency braking engaged while the vehicle was in neutral tow. Resulted in 2 rear blown tires and damaged rims on vehicle. Attached the f250 correctly to the motorhome and confirmed truck was in neutral tow. Starting pulling the f250 and confirmed by looking at mirrors on the motorhome and rear camera that the wheels on the f250 were rolling both front axel and rear axel. After several blocks felt a hard tug while driving the motorhome, looked in the side mirror and rear camera and noticed smoke coming from rear tires. We pulled over on highway and stopped towing the vehicle. Went back to truck open the driver door and the dash was reading vehicle was still in neutral tow. Called a tow truck. The f250 truck was towed to the moss Ford dealership. Ford dealership never neutral towed the f250 so they were unable to recreate the situation. However we had computer data on the f250 dating back to before the truck was delivered after manufacturing relating to brake issues. The emergency brakes engages when we are driving it and comes on after stopping on a hill or after we tow a trailer. We have had this f250 into the dealership for brake warranty issues before we started to neutral tow the f250. We had neutral tow this truck over 1500 miles before this incident. We continued on our trip and currently in chula vista CA. Neutral tow the f250 all the way. However the Ford instructions on how to set up neutral tow does not tell you disable automated emergency braking system or disable the front collision warning system.

Backup/vehicle camera's do not always work when truck is in reverse. TSB has been issued on this problem; Ford will not repair due to vehicle being out of warranty. 3. Ford inadvertently installed a substantially smaller fuel tank on my specific vehicle. TSB has been issued on this problem; Ford will not repair due to vehicle being out of warranty.

Over the last two years my vehicle will display down hill decent, vehicle is not in park, and the wrench light will all display on my screen for no reason. I will pull over and shut the vehicle off and restart the vehicle and all of the messages will go away. Ford hass updatd my software but the messages keep returning. No codes are displayed and the truck runs fine. Ford knows of the issue but they will not fix the issue due to no recall.
1st incident, weather conditions were rainy. Drove to store, shut off truck, started truck, service engine soon light came on #1-Ford pass message-powertrain control module lost communication or has detected incompatible software from the glow plug. Service engine soon light #2-powertrain control module lost communication with the glow plug, additional alerts along with a hard start or no start condition may accompany this fault. Service engine soon light #3-a communication fault over vehicle network has occurred between several modules. Service engine soon #4-the powertrain control module lost communication with the exhaust particulate matter sensor. Service engine soon #5-the transmission control module is sending invalid information over the internal vehicle communication network to one or more modules. Message #6-pre-collision assist not available. I thought if I shut the truck off it would reset. When I tried to restart the truck it did nothing. Had it towed to archie cochrane Ford in billings, mt. They replaced the def wiring harness. 2nd incident on [xxx], drove through rain on way to provo, ut. Service engine soon light came on with all the same messages + five other messages. Had it towed to larry h miller Ford in provo, ut. They replaced the battery junction box. Drove to yuma, az without incident but had them look it over and they could not reproduce the issue. Drove to dickinson, TX, encountered fog on 1/3/2025. Incident #3, drove to the gas station on [xxx], started the truck up and the same messages came up. Roads were dry, although it had rained the night before. Drove straight to mcree Ford where the technician observed the issue firsthand. While the vehicle was in park it was constantly surging. We researched online for the same problem and have found others that have had this same type of issue. We have had to rent cars when the truck was in the shop. We believe this is an engineering issue and Ford should fix the issues without charging. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of inform.
Wrench light comes on, but truck goes into limp loses power very dangerous don't know if it's going to cause me to be rear-ended, steering goes back and forth right to left can't hardly hold it in road.
The electrical system/dash of the 2024 Ford-f250 is not working properly. When in drive mode the dash will state that vehicle will be shutting off and will shut off. When attempting to power up or down the windows, window may stop half way down or up or will not go up or down. Stereo will shut off or turn on and at times sound will shift to one speaker, truck has to be turned off and turned back on for all speakers to work or for stereo to go to it's normal functuality. This was brought to the attention of one of the manager's Ford dealership repair center and he said that he has been seeing many issues with the electrical components of all Ford trucks. Most of the trucks have to have the whole cab removed/lifted to be able to get to the electrical component that is causing the issue on the vehicle. This a new truck and it's ridiculous that we are having to go through this, the dealership wants to charge hundreds to check the truck and there should be no charge when this is a known issue.
The bjb fuse panel gets water in it . The vehicle produces multiple alarms and the throttle stops working . So when going down the road it goes to a idle and you can't get out of the way of other vehicle's . The Ford dealership said the bjb panels do get water in them but have not heard of them causing this problem. There was a list of alarm's from the fuse panel failure it all happened about the same time .
Trailer brake lights malfunction.
Vehicle’s apim malfunctioned and caused the rear-traffic alert to malfunction as well as a number of the vehicle’s other features such as its navigation, radio, hvac, cruise control etc. Took it to the dealership and they tried to robot system, dealership stated reboot failed and the would load it on a thumb drive and I can try to upload it from there. I stated I wanted the apim replaced, and they said let's try thi route first.
On numerous times when you start the truck there is a delay from when you engage drive and the drivetrain gets power. To the point that 1 time the truck rolled back into another destroying their bumper.
Doors will not lock or unlock from remote or inside switch. If an accident was to occure a person's can not get out of the vehicle.
Drivers door will not unlock at times, the others do. The door also will not latch at times making it unsafe to drive, have to lock and unlock with remote and keys until it resets. Only 46,000 miles. Started doing it a year ago but has gotten worse. I know forfd has had a history of problems and extended warranty on 2017 super duty for this problem.
7 pin trailer connector is not transfering power to trailer needs to be repair under warranty vehicle around 17000 miles no rapair was done at mossy Ford dealer spend 5 days without vehicle dealership provide me a diagram in order I repleace fuse by myself. No repairs was done problem persist.

A/c blower fan blowing irregular cutting out and returning to blow. Eventually stopped and replaced the blower, still not working. Took to local mechanic pressed on fuses and relays and blower worked for a day. Took to another shop to get second opinion and to repair issue. Same thing checked fuses and said vehicle was working as planed. 1 day later same issue no air. Returned to same shop to re investigate issue, claimed wiring harness and fuse box under hood to be replaced. (remove dash, remove freon, flush system, refill with freon, run wiring around front of engine compartment, reinstall all the above for 6k) all of this for a melted fuse (#43) and a possible burnt wire. If new harness is same gauged wiring, then what is stop from another burning issue? picked up truck for another opinion to repairing or replacing harness. At this time still no air and worried it may start a fire from burning again.
