Loss of power windows, loss of a/c and heat, loss of turn signals, loss of radio, and loss of head lights. As well as engine not shutting off after key is pulled out. The first initial problems arose a year ago, not long after purchasing a 2022 Ford f250 superduty. Only when it rained or during very cold days the power to the front dash would be out including power windows and locks, radio, and a/c and heat. Ford dealership was unable to diagnose the problem. A year down the road, directly following a hard rain, the engine would not shut off when turning the key and removing it. I had to pull the fuel pump relay fuse from under hood to get the truck to shut off. After removing the lid, which was way too easy to take off, I noticed that all th box fuses were submerged in water. Yes there are safety concerns, what if my child ir myself was to get trapped inside the truck if the power windows and locks are malfunctioning? and on a hot day when the heat and air conditioning are also not working? how long would the truck have to continue to run before it shut off? there are electrical fire risks directly correlated with water in the fuse box. There were no warning lamps. Ford posted a service bulletin on regards to this matter. The power distribution module and the fuse box lid are at fault. The truck has since been repaired and are making us pay for it because it is 5,000 miles out of warranty. We are extremely dissatisfied Ford customers!.

My reverse camera (the bed camera) quits working at random times. Sometimes it works fine. Other times it shows nothing but a white static looking screen and sometimes the button just doesn’t respond at all when I try to select the bed camera option.
Regarding customer satisfaction program 21m05. My tailgate has had numerous recalls for the electrical tailgate. I have been to two different dealerships and they have not fixed the recall now my truck has major electrical issues. The tailgate opens up all the time on its own. Something to do with the wiring system that's connected to that is making all my exterior lights and horn go off constantly. The truck is at the dealership down. They're trying to diagnose the electrical issues. They now want me to be responsible for a diagnosis if Ford will not cover it.

I took my truck into the dealership Ford of upland for recalls on 06/06/2023 (136923 miles) outstanding field service actions 18l02, 18n03, 20n04, 20m04 ,20e07, 21m05, 22s51. I called to make an appointment and confirm if parts are needed for theses recalls that they had them and nothing was on backorder. Cabral lillian let me know they had everything the truck would be done in 1. 5 days at most. About 2hours before they closed on day 2 I called to see when I could pickup. She told me they just started the 20e07 and it would be ready in one hour. When I went to pick up I was informed that was the only recall that they did. I asked why she said they did not have the other parts, I explained to her when I made the appointment she she they had everything. She just said they would call me when they have the parts. I called a handfull of times too check status of the parts , kept saying they dont have them. Finally I emailed lillian 7/24/23 and 7/25/23 no reply. I went ahead and emailed all the main people in the service department 7/27/23 steven isip service director said he would look into this. All that happend was he had lillian call me and said they had the camera (22s51) and I could make an appointment it would take 2 day to complete. My husband called citrus Ford to see if they could do the recalls. They set the appointment 11/29/23 ( 147665 miles) had it done same day. I didn't look over all the paperwork and didn't see that the other recalls were not addressed. Until 3/11/23 the tailgate opened on its own . Thats when I looked at the paperwork from citrus Ford, saw that the only recall was done camera. I did, and call Ford customer service and explained what happened, they saw my truck service records gave in a case#. 3/18/23 all the exterior started flashing, horn, tailgate started going crazy. Dropped the truck off 3/19/23 6:30am 154,000 miles. Ford is now saying diagnostics needs to be done, due to the recall was only good up 150000 mi.

Eng light is on and losing throttle. When it loses throttle wrench light comes on. While driving on the interstate, the truck loses power and reduces speed on its own. It is difficult to maneuver to the side of road. It has been towed several times and repaired by more than one Ford dealership. We requested a buy back when the truck was under a year old and akins Ford winder GA. Refused to buy it back. It currently has 37,000 miles and has been sitting at the akins dealership for two weeks. This truck could potentially cause an accident because it decelerates quickly and because of its size it is difficult to steer out of atlanta, GA traffic. I have warned Ford relationship director that someone will be injured in this vehicle. I was informed that I should contact ntsb and the attorney general state of georgia.
We are experiencing issues with the ac / radio control head in our 2019 Ford f250 super duty, crew-cab truck. Some of the controls for the ac unit are inoperable specifically the re-circulation control. As a result, the ac system is delivering humid air, and the system is also delivering extremely unpleasant odors into the cab of the vehicle. Some more serious than others including, exhaust fumes, engine compartment oil and gas odors, and sewage odors when stopped at an intersection. This has been going on for over 6 months now and the local dealership including Ford customer service continue to inform me the part is on back order. After researching this further, it appears Ford is experiencing this problem with their explorers, and it has become a recall for this model. This has become a serious issue for us as we experience nausea, headaches and our clothing absorbs these odors causing ongoing discomfort. This is my work truck, and I have associates and customers in my vehicle. It has caused me unwanted stress and tension as a result of these issues. I believe this is occurring with other f-series trucks as it is noticeably clear there are no parts available. I have called several dealerships throughout arizona and across the country, no one has them available. One dealership had a part in michigan however, they were holding it for a customer. They advised me their customer is experiencing the same thing we are with our truck. I believe this should be registered as a recall for this problem considering what I have uncovered during my research. This is a serious problem that will only get worse if not resolved soon.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-250. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle unintendedly accelerated without warning. The contact turned off the vehicle. The contact stated the vehicle operated normally once restarted. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure recurred on several occasions. The contact stated that the failure occurred while the vehicle was in low gear and in colder temperatures. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 35,000.
The engine light activated on the dash randomly while driving. My truck was experiencing loss of power and for the next few days and reduced fuel mileage. I checked the engine code and learned it is a common error with 2017 Ford super dutys with the 6. 7l diesel engine. The code is “dtc p203b”, sometimes indicated as p203b00 is an obd diagnostic trouble code indicating a manufacturer-specific fault with the vehicle powertrain (I. E. Engine and gearbox). This code identifies an error with the air/fuel mixture causing reductant level sensor circuit range/performance. I believe this error in manufacturing is a safety risk because it is common within these trucks and can leave motorists stranded or potentially disable the vehicle in the roadway causing a traffic hazard.
Component: battery junction box then affecting other parts. Water intrusion into battery junction box affecting and shorting out other components. Items shorted out due to water in battery junction box include: battery junction box itself, left rear blind spot monitor, left rear brake light, drivers seat control (shorted all seat heated components, all lumbar and massaging components fully inflated and would not deflate) , windshield wiper motor shorted and stopped working, rain sensor stopped working. Both tow mirrors would randomly deploy to the furthest out position. Main safety concerns were windshield wiper motor stopped working and seat randomly adjusting, inflating, deflating. Vehicle is currently at for dealership ( sam packs 5 star Ford lewisville TX) who has diagnosed the issues. The only warning lamp was for the driver side blis when the incident would occur.

Good afternoon, 1. 5 weeks ago, we had 4 serious issues that our Ford f250 truck from 2017 with 55. 000 miles on stalled during driving almost causing an accident because the steering system was not supporting anymore. We stopped the vehicle on the side of the road, yellow engine light came on with the fault message “all sensor” (attached). After several times cycling the ignition the diesel engine started up with the yellow engine light on. This happened 4x. Luckily, we made it home. The next day the truck did not show any ignition neither did the engine start. I checked the battery power which was 12. 8v and found a loose minus bar connection beside the positive bar beside the battery junction box. I thought I found the root cause, installed the missing nut but nothing changed. We had to organize a tow truck for 160us$ transferring the vehicle to the Ford dealer mall of georgia in buford after confirming an appointment for Monday January 15th, 2024, 2pm. We confirmed the complaint with a Ford service technician name scott tackabury, left the keys under the assumption that Ford will investigate the root cause. Since this is our only vehicle, we had to take a rental car due to business obligations. Unfortunately, the truck got not inspected until Monday January 22nd, 2024. We had to call several times to get an update and were told that “… it is like a doctor appointment… ur in line”!!?? again Monday 22nd 2024, we did not receive a call, we had to call to see what’s going on. Investigation result: -ids test found the following dtc’s: op064a, p027a, p0087, p008a -diag. Dtc: p027a found pin 25 in connector c1035a melted causing poor connection for the fuel pump control module circuit (see attachments) -dtc p064a fuel pump control module internal fault remedy: -replace the battery junction box -repair the wiring -replace the fuel pump control module.
Brought truck into hansel Ford dealership in santa rosa CA for recall issues, oil change and then an issue with horn. Horn would not turn off, even with truck off. Had to disconnect battery and take fuse out for horn. Was told by hansel that there is an issue with this but its not a recall issue. The bjb box had moisture inside and needed replacing. Our mileage was just outside original manufacturer warranty by I believe 900 miles. We had also purchased an extended warranty. Extended warranty will not cover. I would like Ford to pay for this issue as we arent the only ones. 2022 Ford f250 . Truck is still at the dealership.

The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-250. The contact stated that after turning the ignition switch to the off position and removing the ignition key, the engine remained running. Additionally, the maintenance wrench icon illuminated, and the warning message "reduced power mode" was displayed. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 50,000.
Went to start truck and had a loud pop like a shotgun went off in the cab when the push to start was turned on. After that I had no sound from the stereo. First thing I noticed was no rear park aid beep when backing up and then noticed all sound was gone. Parked truck not knowing what was wrong and grabbed other truck as I was pulling away the alarm started going off and stereo was blasting static noise on full. Had to disconnect batteries to stop alarm and to get radio to turn off. So to clarify all was shut off and truck was locked and about 1 minute later alarm went off with sound blasting could not turn truck on or off nothing worked. Thank god I didn’t drive it to work would have caused a wreck.

Recently I was leaving my neighborhood to take my kids to school. I used the remote start and noticed that the doors were not unlocking properly with the exception of the drivers side door. I opened the passenger door from the inside for my child to get into the truck. As we were about to depart the neighborhood for a busy main street, I noticed the door ajar light on the dash was on. I told my son to go ahead and close his door again. When he attempted to open and re-close the door we notice it was not fully latched and then the door would then not close at all as the latch was not functioning properly. I had to turn around and drive very slowly back to my house with my son holding the door closed. This was so incredibly unsafe and I'm thankful I was still in my neighborhood when it happened and not stopping for gas on the interstate or traveling long distances for work. I immediately looked on the Ford website for recalls and contacted the local Ford dealership. There are no recalls at this time. However, there are two customer satisfaction recalls for the door latch and the door lock actuators. (campaign #18n03 and 20m04). I brought my truck to this dealership for repairs as it is not safe to drive and will in no way pass the state inspection that is due on it. The maintenance shop called me around 24 hours later and stated that the door latch stopped functioning and wiring for the door locks was damaged somehow (unknown how, no damage to my vehicle has ever occurred) but they weren't tied to any recalls or safety programs. This was extremely unsettling to me as the two satisfaction programs mention this parts specifically. So, unfortunately I am forced to pay a significant amount of money to the Ford dealership for repairs that sound a lot like problems they are aware of. The receptionist also stated that she had heard of similar issues with these trucks.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-250 sd. The contact had experienced several electrical failures with the vehicle and the vehicle had been back to the dealer for repairs for more than 70 days. The contact stated that the instrument cluster failed to properly illuminate, and it was difficult to see the information on the instrument cluster. The contact also stated that the front passenger’s side window failed to roll up in one motion. The contact stated that the window would stop halfway up and had to be rolled back down first and then another attempt had to be made to roll the window up for the window to operate as needed. Additionally, the back over prevention and trailer park assists system functions failed to operate as needed. The contact also stated that the back over prevention software failure of the tpasin module caused the screen to intermittently display a distorted image, a blue screen, or displayed a solid black screen. The contact also stated that the powertrain axle assembly shaft was improperly heat treated during the manufacturing process. Additionally, the vehicle experienced failures with steering column, and the tailgate release function occasionally failed to operate as needed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer on several occasions and remained with dealer often, for two to three weeks each time. The contact stated that the dealer attempted to assess a diagnostic fee even though the failure was a known failure with the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure on several occasions however, the contact stated that the manufacturer failed to acknowledge the failures or take the vehicle back from when the vehicle was first purchased new. The approximate failure mileage was 500.
I have a 2023 F-250 lariat with the b&o sound system (unleashed) with 3100 mile now. On 11/28/23 after entering the truck and hitting the start button I heard what sounded like an explosion going off inside the truck followed by non-stop noise coming through the speakers of the truck. Turning the truck off and opening the doors did nothing. Turning radio off did nothing. I proceeded to leave work and head straight to my local dealership which took approximately 15 minutes to get too and the noise in the speakers had not stopped. I left the truck running and went in to speak to someone in the service department. He came out and got in the truck and was shocked at what he was seeing/hearing. He stated that he had never heard of this before. He tried everything I did to get the noise to stop but it would not. At some point he went into the sound settings and changed it from surround mode to stereo mode and it stopped and the radio came on and played like normal. Told me it was possible that I had received an update and something may had gotten stuck in programming and caused a glitch. He said that hopefully it wont happen again but if it does to come see him for a further investigation into the matter. I told him that I couldnt believe that the speakers were still working after that happening. I have a dash cam in my truck that has all of this recorded except the initial explosion because of a momentary lapse of time when the truck is started. It has been a week now since this happened and my ears still have a constant ringing that hasnt gone away. Very irritating to say the least but I am glad that this didnt happen when all of my family was in the vehicle. I however am worried of it happening again in the future.
The vehicle will not start. There will be times that it will start nicely but we are unsure on when the next failed start will be. When turning the key in the ignition it will just light up the dashboard and radio but will not turn over or start. Sometimes we are able to get it to start after a few tries, other times is has taken us an entire day to get it to start. Not very reliable since we purchased this vehicle for pulling a camping trailer and we are afraid that it will leave us stranded. Some research has indicated that maybe the circuit board is bad, but I have seen no recalls or anything specific coming from Ford company. Last occurrence was thanksgiving day when we were visiting family out of town!!.
The contact owns a 2010 Ford F-250. The contact stated that the battery needed to be replaced. The contact connected the battery to a battery charger to charge the battery so that he could drive the vehicle to the local auto store to purchase a new battery. The contact stated when he connected the new battery, he noticed there was no electrical power. The contact stated that the power switch for the windows and the doors were inoperable. The contact also stated the turn signals, and all the lights were inoperable. The contact stated that the abs and check engine warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a failed electrical junction box and corroded wires. The contact was informed that the electrical junction box and wires needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was advised not to drive the vehicle due to an electrical fire risk. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 69,000.

There hasn't been an incident per say and these might not be a safety concern. However I would like to list my grievances here just so there's documentation. My radio has some type of glitch where the phone calls get static like its digital, also the mirrors don't fold in all the time when locked with the key fob, the brakes have squeaked since day 1 and the grab handle in the tailgate just slides right out when the steps are pulled out. Again I don't think this really qualifies for dangerous.
No warning that this vehicle is designed to cut itself off after 30 minutes of idle time. This is not standard and no owner would ever know or expect this. Ford should have at minimal a warning placard like it does for airbags. We purposely got a 250 truck to use the idle with ac as we setup and cool down our RV. Thankfully we found out about this to avoid serious injury, living in TX climate where temps outside reach 100+ degrees. Someone is going to get seriously hurt or killed since this is not expected or a standard feature of any vehicle. There needs to be at least a warning but ideally, a permanent override for the owner, or default to normal idle.
Leaving stop sign turning right onto cross street. Touched accelerator pedal and truck lurched forward under what seemed to be full throttle. (unintended acceleration) jammed on the brake pedal stopping vehicle. Engine still revs still high and rear tire started to squeal/spin on pavement. Grabbed shifter and threw into park then immediately grabbed key and turned vehicle off. Upon restart normal operation resumed. No mats in area of accelerator pedal. No odbc error codes. Did not have foot on both pedals. Scheduled to go to dealer for investigation.

Several issues. At 1100 miles the sound system or the 12” touch screen locks up sometimes so that touch screen doesn’t work, stereo turns off, a sudden loud tone comes on from all the speakers at full volume and the volume control, screen nothing works to turn it down and you have to turn the truck off completely and wait 5-10 minutes before turning it back on and then everything works. Today, I started the truck and discovered that the heated steering wheel and heated seats were on high (when I have never even used them before) so I turned them off. I went into a store and came out 5 minutes later, restarted the truck and the heated wheel/seats had come on again by themselves. The truck will also make a warning tone occasionally while driving but nothing even shows on the screen. Its like I have electrical gremlins jumping from system to system.
The apim module is failing causing hvac, radio, phone connection, navigation to not work at all. The screen takes a lot of time to come on when starting the truck. Hoping it dosen't go out while backing up. Other vehicles have recalls on this buy not my truck.
Recently purchased my vehicle brand new, and I noticed that the speakers cut in and out and have static. I brought my vehicle to Ford and they are replacing both roof speakers. The vehicle I have has a bo 18 speakers set up from the factory. I have a video of the issue of the music cutting in and out and every now and then the roof speakers and sides speakers let out a high-pitched noise. I noticed the issue happens whenever I listen to music and touch the infotainment system for example, if I’m listening to music and I go from gps to music and I tap the screen the music cuts out and that’s a high pitch noise . The static is so loud. Sometimes I have to shut the car off and pull over and shut the car off and wait for the system to shut down the issue has not been resolved, and I would like to process it as a lemon via lemon law.
My wife and children we driving when smoke appeared from the engine area, the engine warning lights came on and the engine lost power, the cab filled with smoke from the vents as she got the truck to the side of the road and used one fire extinguisher that we had in the truck others came and helped extinguish with water as well as police and fire dept. A police report is filed as well as a insurance claim and I have asked for a fire investigation, there is a serious problem with this vehicle. Note: this vehicle was just at 5 star Ford for recall updates and no issues were noted.
In 2022 Ford issued a recall for my 2016 f250 for the clockspring. In mid 2023 for said sent me a letter telling me the parts are in stock contact a local dealer for repair. I dropped off my tuck and 2 day later I was told by deal it’s fixed come pick it up. I got in my truck and all the same issues were there. Airbag light is on, steering is sticking, no horn or other electrical working on steering wheel. The dealer said they did a temp fix which I later found was not true, Ford has no temp fix. After contacting Ford directly and being sent to another dealing by Ford corp I was told Ford has no part number or fox for trucks with heated steering. Ford has failed to remedy as their team does not have a part made to correct. This is a safety issues and they have a dealer saying don’t worry your airbag will deploy. Fraud along with failure to remedy in a timely manner.

The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-250. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 22v337000 (air bags); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated while driving and making a turn into the driveway, the steering wheel lost power steering functionality inadvertently and made a clicking sound. The air bag warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and to a secondary dealer, bill utter Ford (4901 s interstate 35 e, denton, TX 76210), where it was diagnosed that the failure was related to the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the parts were not yet available. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
Without any warning, smoke started billowing from the driver's side dash and overhead liner. When looking for the cause, I pulled the solenoid and the smoking stopped. Upon further inspection, I discovered broken, melted wiring in the rear drivers side door jamb. In researching this problem online, I found that other owners had experienced the same problem.

My truck was working great until I took it in for the clock spring recall. After that my bluetooth and my back up camera work intermittently. I took my truck back to the dealer ship about a week after the recall and said my sync was not working and they said at first it wasn't from the recall but then they took another look and said it was. The sync worked fine for about another week and then stopped again. Since then the sync goes in and out. Most of time out so I cannot do phone calls through the truck so I took it back to a new Ford dealership and they said the clock spring was done correctly and its the apim. I looked into that and saw there have been recalls on other Ford cars for this problem. I'm assuming this problem is also why my back up camera goes in and out too. Sometimes just a blue screen and sometimes just black.
The instrument panel cluster has failed. You can not see how fast you are going, none of the dash is lit up. You are unable to determine if there are any issues going on with the vehicle. The adaptive cruise control and emergency braking system is not working properly. The battery will also not hold a charge. Our safety is at risk as we don't know what is going on with the fuctions of the truck or if it will start. Yes, Ford has confirm this problem and issued a recall. The dealership has inspected the vehicle. There were no warnings of the problem before it occurred. The instrument panel and other functions of the vehicle just stopped working. We are in contact regularly with the dealership and Ford. Initially they placed us in a long term rental since the current truck is not driveable however, they are wanting to terminate that rental and not provided us with the needed vehicle. Currently, there is not a part to fix this issue. This was a vehicle that was purchased brand new and within 6 weeks we experienced this electronic failure. We need Ford to step up and provide a Ford f250 as we purchased until this is fixed.
