1 Coolant Leaking problem of the 2017 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 03/01/2019

Coolant leak from "tee" connections on line from overflow bottle across engine. Ford part: hc3z-8075-d. Smelled coolant leak while driving on freeway. While hundreds of miles from home had one of the hose connections at the plastic tee above the engine air intake come loose causing coolant leak. Inspected other connections on both tee's and found all to be loose and/or leaking. Secured all hose connections (6) on both tee's with screw type clamps to get home. Ford has used oetiker clamps and single barb plastic tee instead of a more robust spring or screw type clamp on a multi barb connection.

2 Coolant Leaking problem of the 2008 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 12/01/2013

While in tow/haul mode towing 40' 5th wheel, engine overheated quickly which resulted in loss of power. No leaks seen and coolant was spraying out of overflow cap only. No lights came on in dash. Seems fan is not kicking on when needed? when fan does kick on, engine cools immediately. This is only at low speeds under heavy towing. Truck runs great otherwise with no overheating problems. This has happened twice with this truck and I'm sure it is causing damage. Warranty just ran out of course. There is a coolant loss as well, but unknown where it is going. No milky oil, nothing on the ground, and no wet exhaust pipe.

3 Coolant Leaking problem of the 2008 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 08/23/2013

Customer satisfaction program 08b06 was issued by Ford in December 2008. This notice expired in June 30, 2009. I recently purchased the vehicle within the last year. The same issue has developed that was identified in the above bulletin. The previous owner did not get the service performed and now Ford will not honor the bulletin. This issue should be a recall issue or the Ford customer satisfaction bulletin should be reopened or recreated. This is with regards to engine coolant leak and a known deficiency within the cooling system.
