The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-350. The contact stated that he owns a vehicle of the same year, make and model, to those of which the company he works for has in their fleet. The contact stated that these same vehicles at his occupation were found to be leaking oil from the upper oil pan, and so the contact decided to inspect his own vehicle for the same issue. The contact found that his vehicle was also leaking oil from the upper oil pan. The contact stated that no warning lights were illuminated and that he was able to continue driving his vehicle. The contact drove his vehicle to an independent mechanic, where the vehicle was diagnosed. The contact was advised that the upper oil pan was indeed leaking, and that he should take it to a Ford dealership in order to replace the upper oil plan. The contact reached out to the local dealership in order to schedule an appointment. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 26,300. The contact referenced ssm 49039 as it relates to the symptoms his vehicle is currently experiencing.
