When accelerating after stopping my 2016 Fiesta se shudders quite hard moving from 1st to 2nd gear and then also from 2nd to 3rd. I've noticed that the length of time the car shudders is increasing. The shudder is accompanied by a loud rattling sound like if you shook a bunch of screws in a metal container. Sometimes loss of power and high rpm's occur. I will take it back in and this will be the 4th time. The Ford dealership tells me that the shudder doesn't harm the transmission. I don 't believe that. Can't even sell the car (I tried) because this car's resale value is zero. Next I'm thinking of pursuing a lemon law resolution.

Tl the contact owns a 2011 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that while driving at undisclosed speeds, the vehicle shuddered and failed to accelerate without warning. The vehicle was taken to borgman Ford Mazda (3150 28th st sw, grandville, mi 49418) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 67,660.
Car shudders excessively on acceleration. Will also lurch forward during acceleration. Grinding noises when car is on low speed (1-20 mph). Rear taillights stopped working without warning.
I just bought a used 2012 Ford Fiesta and I realized after buying it that the odometer isn't working at all. The transmission also isn't working properly. When I start the car, the 1rt gear won't go into shift so the car stutters and shakes. I took the car to a Ford dealer but they insisted that the car doesn't have a recall for the transmission. I know that there is a consumer class action suit against Ford due to faulty transmissions built into these make and model. I have contacted a lawyer and I am waiting to hear from him. I would like to file a formal complaint. Thank you. P. S: I do not know what type of photos or documents you would like me to upload do please contact me with more information with this regard.

The car shudders and feels like it os going to stall out. The car revs high when you press the gass but has no power. I've taken it twice to dealership and they say they have to fix the throttle body first before they can tell me if it's my transmission. Also when I'm filling up my tank it stops every few seconds and will not allow gas to go in the tank. They also said it's my filler neck.
I had to have the transmission replaced after owning the car a few months. At only 30k miles. Thank god it was still under warranty. However, since then, the car has continued to malfunction. I have not taken it into a dealer since because of the other comments and complaints I have seen regarding this car. The car continues to jerk forward when moving from a stop. The car constantly shudders when driving. The car hesitates when accelerating. I even had to pull the fuse out for the radio because the speakers would constantly pop, even with the radio off. I truly believe there is an issue even with new transmissions in this car. If the transmission is replaced, the same problems should not continue. I do not have the time nor the money to keep fixing something that is not fixable. I will continue to drive a car that I feel unsafe in until I cannot anymore. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. On the "when did this happen" field, I put today's date because it happens every day.
The transmission shifts unevenly in lower gears and causes the car to shudder with slowed acceleration, this happens every use. Sometimes, the car will not accelerate and it slips into neutral while driving, upon pressing the gas pedal the engine revs but the car will not move. This can happen at anytime without warning. The only way to correct this is to put the car in park and restart the engine. I brought this to the attention of a local Ford dealership, they performed maintenance to the transmission, but this did not remedy the problem.
When at a complete stop the car shakes. When pressing on the gas from a complete stop the car shudders and stalls. When driving at a slow place (under 30 mph) the car will vibrate briefly.
The car is a 2012 Ford Fiesta that I purchased from a dealership in April of this year -2019. The car accelerates unexpectantly when you start it or after a stop. While driving, the car will suddenly jerk (often violently which causes my entire body to move forward and back). The car shudders and kicks when driven. The car shakes and makes loud noise while idling. The car rolls backward while at a stop and after release of the brakes. These problems makes it very difficult to control the car. I do not feel safe in the car and fear that it poses a danger to myself, other drivers, and the public in general. I have driven many years and had a number of cars. This is first time I feel compelled to voice a concern about a vehicle. I am disappointed that these cars can be sold without any warning of the problems to buyers and that such cars are even on the roads.
The car shakes and shutters. Rough when shifting. The speed will quickly change sometimes has problems starting. Not safe to drive. Ford dealership near where I live says it is the clutch and wants $1500 just to figure out exactly what is wrong. They highly suggest replacing whole transmission $5700 because if they fix one part and another breaks it will cost $1500 just to take apart again. Crazy because it has only 91000 miles and is only worth $4500. Help I don't have this kind of money for fixing this unsafe car.
Tl the contact owns a 2011 Ford Fiesta. While accelerating from a stop light, the vehicle vibrated violently. The vehicle was taken to multiple independent mechanics who stated that the transmission and fuel injection needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to citrus motors Ford (1375 s woodruff way, ontario, CA 91761, (855) 451-7126) where it was diagnosed that the transmission clutch and shaft needed to be replaced. The transmission was replaced, but the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 50,000.
Tl-the contact owns 2013 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that while driving at 25 mph, the vehicle shuddered, and jerk as the gear shifted to 1st causing the vehicle to seize. All warning light illuminated. The contact turned the vehicle off back on and the vehicle resume back to normal after 30 min. The vehicle then was taken to the dealer metro Ford 2860 s noland rd, independence, mo 64055 however the vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The contact mentioned that the transmission was replaced. The vehicle was not driveble. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that his warranties expired. To whom it may concern: I was a 24 year old single female when I went to the fox Ford dealership in grand rapids, mi in early 2012. When I saw the Ford Fiesta in the showroom I thought it was cute. I test drove it and thought it sounded a little loud but didn't really know anything about cars so I ignored it and told the salesman I wanted to start the purchase process. I ended up leasing the car in March 2012. By September 2012, I moved to arizona and took a job with child protective services. I started noticing my car jerked a lot around 20,000 miles (early 2013). Whenever I went in for my oil change at earnhardt Ford in chandler, az I mentioned the shuddering and jerking of the car. I was told this was just a characteristic of the car and it couldn't be fixed. I mentioned this multiple times but when the technician would look at the car, it was working properly. The car started to get worse and being a children's case manager meant that I had to drive children around frequently for my job. I started to fear that I would get in an accident when turning since that is when my car would shudder and stop when trying to make a turn from a stopped position. I knew that I needed to start documenting the issues in case anything were to happen.
Tl the contact owns a 2012 Ford Fiesta. While driving various speeds, the vehicle suddenly shuddered, hesitated to accelerate, jerked, and vibrated. The vehicle was taken to waxahachie Ford(2401 north interstate 35, waxahachie, TX). The dealer reprogrammed the power train software and the clutch was replaced, but the failures continued. The contact indicated that the vehicle was serviced for the same failures more than ten times. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 51,000.
Car regularly shudders. Acceleration is a problem. Problems occur while driving and switching gears in all road types especially hills.

We have a 2012 Ford Fiesta. When we are driving the car ti shakes when it goes to change gears, it is an automatic. We've taken it to the dealership many times. The dealership used to tell us it was the mass air flow sensor. They have cleaned it and replaced it. The car continued to have the issue. I took the car into the dealership and told them to check the clutch assembly. They did and replaced the clutch assembly saying that was the problem. The car drove decent for about a month then we went back to the problem of losing power in the middle of an intersection and then accelerating too fast after the loss of power. Now the car will rev up when in park and continues to have the shuttering problem. The dealership seems to not know what is going on.
The vehicle shudders when accelerating. The check engine light comes on and the car makes a loud noise and does not accelerate.
When I try to accelerate my car shudders. When I go from the brakes and try the gas pedal my car jerks and has issues accelerating. I have been to the dealership several times for this problem all they do is reprogram. It is good for 2-3 days then goes back to jerking and shuddering. These problems occur most when I'm pulling out of driveways and partying lots from a stopped position trying to increase speed. I have had a few close calls because my car has problems speeding up when I'm on the expressway too. I got the car used at 20000 miles. The dealership when I brought it in for the first time in November 2016 told me it was normal for my car to have transmission problems. After several visits the problem was never fixed.
I have a 2013 Ford Fiesta se and my car will not gain speed due to the clutch also the car shutters and shakes a lot taking off, turning or moving from a stop light. This is unsafe because I cannot gain speed enough or go fast enough to get out of someones way or for me to get on the high way. Which can cause an accident and almost has which is very unsafe for me and other drivers on the road. My rpms go up to at least 4 or 5 because my car will not shift and the lose of power is so bad this happens again almost each time I move from a stop light and I take off to go up a hill. It takes me longer to move causing people to almost hit me from behind several times. This has taken place sense I got the car in February of 2017 and it has continued to happen.
The vehicle shuddered a lot, felt unsafe.
The vehicle has a shudder on takeoff. The transmission malfunction light came on and would not engage into gear.
The car will shake when gas is pressed and does not have much power driving feels like it will die while driving transmission warning light on.
Ford transmission, I recently purchased a 2011 Ford Fiesta after which finding out about the customer satisfaction repairs for the transmission seals, and clutch as well as the door latches and other issues. I brought the car into 2 different dealers for the repairs, the one dealing with the repair of the clutch and seals I have had to bring it into twice for the issues regarding it. Before the dealer repaired the clutch and seals my car had a shudder where it would jerk when down shifting coming off the highway for example or up shifting when making turns across a lane. After I got it back it seemed okay but now less then 3 months later it is happening again and in addition there is a whining noise coming from the transmission. I brought the car into the dealership again today after several long conversations with Ford corporate and was called and told it is being caused by the "main shaft bearing" which they will not cover and is asking for $1500. 00 to repair. This issue was caused by Ford producing faulty parts used in the 2011 Ford Fiestas, as reports from many online sources have stated, this issue caused by Ford is not becoming a safety issue for me and my family as the acceleration and deceleration cause a jerking pause and has even shut down on my in the middle of the road. I live in ohio where snow and ice occur with this issue the life of my family and I is as stake as on coming traffic can not stop in time when this shuddering occurs and when I am able to move the jerking can cause loss of control of the vehicle.
This is at least the 3rd time the vehicle has been into the dealer for transmission issues. I have addressed the issue with beyer Ford as well as the Ford dealer near my parent¿s house in PA where I often travel. The clutch was replaced last year. Ford tells me that the symptoms are ¿normal¿ and with in the correct range but this is a serious concern. For awhile now, the car continues to jerk, shudder, and sputter through gears after a stop. Car noticeably vibrates and there are loud, rattling and grinding noises associated with the issue especially at low speeds. This is especially an issue on hills. The car hesitates to pick up speed and seems to ¿catch¿ for a few seconds and then I get jerked back as the car tries to move forward. Some days the car runs smoother than others but there is no rhyme or reason and more often than not there are major issues. Temperature does not seem to make a difference-it¿s actually more noticeable once the car has been warmed up and has been on the road for awhile. Additionally, the car would not start over the weekend. The battery was fine and the starter turned but the engine would not fire. Eventually the car did start, but the shaking and grinding was even more noticeable than usual.
The car shudders real bad when starting up. I have heard several focus and Fiesta having this problem. Ford refuses to fix it.
I bought my 2014 Ford Fiesta in December 2013 and shortly after this the car began to shudder when accelerating from a stop or slower speeds. I have taken it back to the dealer from which it was bought for this issue and it was resolved for some time, but the issue is now resurfacing. The Fiesta tends to shudder and hesitate when trying to accelerate and has made it dangerous at intersections or when trying to speed up to enter a highway.
Car shudders/shakes when I start to drive after a stoplight. Usually happens after the car has been on for a while and the engine is hot. Took car for an oil change and noticed a lot of oil dripping from underneath the car later that day (2 inch diameter spots). Took the car to a mechanic, and they said the shuddering/shaking is caused by an issue with the clutch. I just bought this car new, and did not expect to have an issue already. This is a manufacturer defect.
Car shudders in stop an go traffic between 1-5 seconds in 1st gear and 2nd gear after the car is warm/hot from driving on the highway. Car shudders on turns randomly on side streets/city streets. When the car is hot after highway driving it has difficulty accelerating, specifically a delay after stopping at a light when turning left between 2-3 seconds. The transmission makes a rattle noise between neutral, 1st gear, 2nd gear and sometimes 3rd gear no matter where I'm driving or for how long. When I turn the car off after putting it into park on hot days the car will make a big jerk and loud noise from the transmission. To make a note this did not happen just on a specific day but continuously over the 2 years (mostly during the summer and very little during the winter) I have had the car even after 5 complaints complaints to Ford and multiple transmission module updates.
The vehicle shudders at takeoff and when accelerating. Check engine light constantly on.
The car has significant issues with the transmission, which has been res configured about four to five times. Car vibrates and has issues with accelaration. Dealers won't do anything but warranties keep getting extended by Ford. I started having the issue about six months after buying the car and it keeps happening.
Vehicle shudders and stalls when taking off. Vehicle will stop fueling when pumping gas. Engine makes a loud noise and vehicle has large water leak.
Vehichle has been returned to a Ford dealer numerous times for transmission issues. Has had all updates completed as required by the dealer, yet continue to have transmission issues. The vehicle shudders and hesitates while attempting to shift gears (it is an automatic transmission). This occurs at low speeds as well as higher speeds. Feel it may be a risk for causing an accident. The dealer says there is nothing more they can do.
