70,000 miles currently, 2013 Ford fiesa sfe with 6 speed power shift automatic trans. The transmission on this car is a flawed design. Since I've had this car, there is excessive clutch shudder when the car shifts from first to second and from second to third. It also sounds like there are loose marbles in the transmission. I had the TSB/recall performed in April of 2015 but that didn't help. The car was at the dealer for 2 weeks while the transmission was opened up and parts were replaced. To be honest, it's now worse than ever. Unless I'm driving at highway speeds, the car is a nightmare to drive.

Transmission malfunction. I bought this vehicle brand new in February 2014, several months later I noticed the vehicle would shudder, shake and jerk when taking off from a stop light or simply slowing down and speeding up. Ford dealership said it was due to the computer "learning how I drive". I gave it some time and even traveled cross country from az to nc and had problems the whole way. In 2015, I finally had it with how dangerous it was becoming to drive and took it in to complain again. This time they said it was due to a leaking clutch which they replaced in a few days. About 6 months later the problem began to occur again and I took it in to Ford for testing again. They said there was a recall for the clutch and it would take a couple months to get the new clutch in. It is now March 2016 and today, an hour away from home, the vehicle suddenly lost speed in the middle of the drive with vehicles all around, the dashboard check engine light came on along with a notification that said the transmission had malfunctioned and needed to be serviced now. I immediately drove straight to the nearest Ford with hazards lights on as the vehicle could not maintain its speed. I am tired of all these problems with this car it is not safe to drive.

Transmissions is faulty. Car shakes, shudders, and hesitates during shift change as well as braking. Ford is aware of nationwide problem. They are replacing part with same faulty part.

I bought this car in may of 2012, the car begins to shudder and rattle after only a few miles of driving it. When you go to take off in the vehicle it shudders and makes a loud rattling noise. It has been in and out of the shop multiple times, the computer has been reset, the clutch replaced although the it's an automatic transmission and was told it needed to adapt to my driving. After 4 years it still does it and no answers have been given. The car is unsafe. You have to push down hard on the accelerator to get the car to go without it shuddering to the point of feeling like you get whiplash. Ford motor company has extended the warranties on these vehicles to 100,000 miles, and provide no charge for service. The transmission is the problem and Ford does not want to fix it.

My 2013 Ford Fiesta only has 33,000 and is having transmission problems. The car shudders and stalls when first pulling out. This makes driving very dangerous. There is no way a vehicle with this amount of miles should be having this type of problems.

My 2012 Ford Fiesta has a serious, ongoing life-threatening issue. The vehicle shudders when accelerating and causes me to lose complete control of the vehicle which has nearly caused my one-year old son and I to be in multiple accidents. I have had the transmission replaced on three different occasions yet the problem continues to occur which tells me there is something seriously wrong with the product and no matter how many new transmissions they install, the issue will always exist. One time this problem occurred while attempting to merge onto a freeway. I began merging and all the sudden the car shuddered and would not move forward no matter how hard I pressed on the gas. I had complete loss of control of the vehicle as oncoming cars grew closer and closer to hitting my son and I. If the car behind me did not slam on their brakes we would have caused a major accident. On a separate occasion I was attempting to make a left turn on a green light and the car moved forward and turned just enough to put my son and I in harms way and then stopped and did the shudder thing causing me to lose control of the vehicle not able to move forward. I am scared to drive it and feel like I am putting myself, my son and other vehicles at risk every time I have to drive.

On several occasions the vehicle has experienced decreased acceleration as well as delayed acceleration. Since June of 2011 to January 2016 I have had the clutch replaced 8 or 9 times with the power train module being reprogrammed. The problem still persists. Now Jan. 18th 2016 the car is experiencing a transmission malfunction. It will not accelerate over 10 miles an hour. Rendering the vehicle undrivable. I can't seem to get help from Ford or sunstate Ford in which the vehicle was purchased. Everytime they service the vehicle they state shuddering and the acceleration issues are normal functions of the vehicle. However each time they have replace the clutch or reprogrammed computers associated with the transmission. At the intersection of 441 and david walker dr in eustis FL we experienced the transmission malfunction leaving us in the middle of traffic trying to manuever at 10 miles an hour.

Takata recall I recently purchased a 2014 Ford Fiesta automatic at a Ford dealership in elizabethton TN, the salesman took me for a drive around the parking lot, the car only had a little over 19,000 miles on it with one owner. . . . But now I release why the owner traded the car in, after you drive it for a few hours the transmission really acts up. . . . I have almost been hit from the rear twice now while driving it, cause in first and second gear the car shakes like the whole front end is falling apart, and will not take off for a few seconds while doing that. So with this car you have to make sure nothing is coming for a long ways before you pull out, cause if you think you can pull out in a hurry forget it cause your shake all over in this car, and shudder before it engages to take off. . . . A very dangerous car that should of never been released by Ford to sale to the public. . . . This car and any like it that Ford has put out to sale should all be recalled and made to put a real transmission in these cars, before someone gets killed, cause now I am afraid to even drive this car cause of how it acts up. .

Allow me to be #100 for complaints on the 2014 Ford Fiesta!! maybe after 100 complaints Ford motor company will do something to help us all !! purchased the new 2014 Ford Fiesta in August 2014. By the time I went in for my first oil change I was having problems with the car shaking, jerking, slipping, shuddering upon light acceleration on gas from a complete stop. Then the car is slow to gain speed to keep up with traffic. I've expressed my complaint/problem with the service technician at the dealership where I purchased the car and he said it's normal, people complain about the same issue all the time and there's nothing they can do about it. As of today's date the problem still exist, I've been back to the dealership with the same complaint and nothing has ever been resolved. And I can tell it's getting worse everyday. This is my only transportation.

Have had many instances of jerking and grinding while the vehicle shifted gears. However now vehicle struggles to accelerate when under load, engine revs but vehicle does not accelerate. This occurs notably when going from 10-20mph and trying to accelerate, as when trying to merge onto a highway from a ramp. Owned manual cars that required clutch replacement, sensation is similar. Vehicle has 26k miles, has had two clutches and three computer updates. Told by dealership that vehicle is safe to drive while they wait for parts, I disagree.

The car has 17250 miles on it. I have been having transmission problems. Shuddering, shaking, jerking, jolting, sudden or delayed acceleration have all been problems. Low speeds seem to be an issue with it. It seems to shudder in between 1st and 2nd gears. I also have had it stall while in reverse. I have taken it to the Ford dealership, they are aware of the issue, have had multiple complaints, and said they would reprogram the software to make the shift changes more smooth. It is still exhibiting the same issues. Harsh shuddering, gears slipping, clicking and noises. It's just a matter of time before this vehicle kills someone. I wasn't told that this car would operate any differently than any other car. The dealership says that all of these symptoms are 'normal' for the kind of transmission that they sold me and that it's still safe to drive. Even when I took it in to get reprogrammed for the shuddering, the technician said that "it's still going to do it. " what?! it wasn't doing it before and now you want me to deal with a shuddering vehicle? and you say you still can't fix it? that's terrible. I've owned Ford's all my life and this is my first new car and I feel like I've made a terrible decision and it's barely got 20,000 miles on it. More importantly, the safety. I've had more than one close call with trying to accelerate and the transmission not responding in enough time to get out of the way. Operates unlike any other vehicle I've owned and not in a good way.

Bought a 2011 Ford Fiesta (automatic) and have had nothing put problems with the vehicle shaking, shuddering, grinding gears, as if I am a first time driver just learning to drive a standard. It has put me in a couple situations when pulling into traffic where the vehicle fails to identify which gear it is in during the first 3 gears of acceleration, and has nearly caused me to have an accident even though I allowed myself what I believed to be a very safe distance to pull out into traffic with no problems. Now I feel like I should give myself at least a miles distance between vehicles to merge successfully without the fear of an accident. I bought the car after the problems began but was told the replacement clutch would resolve this problem, only to find out that that statement is completely false. After 1 replacement, I left the dealership and had the same exact problems only to be told that if it don't show on the diagnostics scan. . . There is nothing they can do. I could go on but I feel that after reading up on the other complaints, everybody has covered my same exact problems successfully. I feel the dealerships should have told me instead of trying to pass off a turd as gold. If they replace the faulty clutch with the same exact clutch that is faulty, who ever purchases the 2011 Fiesta is just a dog chasing his tail. Once the warranty is up. . . Then what? am I just supposed to shell out thousands of dollars for the same exact problems? that's unbelievable. I also do not think I should try to sell this car to another person just for them to be stuck in the same bind. I have a conscience and will not do this to someone else. This is on Ford and I believe that they should resolve this problem instead of putting it off until every one who owns a Fiestas recall is up? that's inconceivable.

When accelerating, the car will shake as it goes into first gear. As the car continues to accelerate the car will shake for about 5 seconds and then launch forward it is only a matter of time before the delay causes me to get hit, or the launching forward causes me to hit someone else. This is a continuous issue that started happening in my car about 1 year after purchase, and has gotten continuously worse.

Car shudders, jerks, and lurches. Concerned about it even being safe to drive. Do not have the control needed to drive safe at all times. The dealer has made repairs and adjustment to the transmission issue more than three times. The dealer claims it is fixed each time and each time the problem remains. I am very cautious to pull out in traffic, afraid for me and my family to be riding in it.

As I was leaving work pulling out of the road I stepped on the gas and the car stalled. Making multiple vehicles come to a screeching stop almost causes multiple wrecks. This was the first time. Other times I was in traffic passing people or just driving down the road and the car started to shake and would stall not accelerating. Last of all my car would not start at least 3 times in one week due to code p2837 and p2832.

I am buying and paying for an unsafe and worthless car. Can you help? I am 66 with little income. This car shudders and hesitates often. I was told by Ford dealer in hutto, TX, that I have to bring it in when it shudders and they will check it and orders parts that will take 2 months. The "shudder" happens on and off, so chances of this happening when I take it to dealer are per chance. The service person at the dealership told me many people are just leaving these Fiestas. I cannot do that. I bought it used from enterprise car rental. They will not respond to my emails. I cannot afford to keep paying on this vehicle. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the vehicle needed a software update. The vehicle was repaired. However, the contact stated that the vehicle began to exhibit the same failure shortly after that repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 53,000.

I took my 2013 Ford Fiesta in to get the oil changed and to determine why the car was making a grinding/shutter/tugging noise/feeling on February 16, 2015 to randall reed's prestige Ford, 3601 south shiloh road, garland, TX 75041. I was informed there was a recall on the clutch and that it would be replaced free of charge. Prestige Ford did the work on March 6, 2015 and replaced the clutch. A week later the car was still making the grinding/shutter/tugging feeling . I returned to prestige Ford and the clutch was on back order. Prestige Ford replaced the clutch a second time on may 14, 2015. 5 star Ford has replaced the clutch a third time on Dec. 14, 2015 and it is still making the grinding noise and they failed to put water in the cooling reservoir and the check engine coolant light is on.

After 13 days of owning the car, the car began to make grinding noises and would shudder when shifting in low gears. The noise and shuddering was so bad that I was afraid to drive the car. Took to dealership and clutch is needing replacement. According to www, this is a very common problem and often progresses to the car suddenly accelerating. This is a dangerous issue and should be treated as such. I find it appalling there has yet to be a recall. . .

My vehicle has been shuddering for years and until even the last day they explained that it was normal for that type of vehicle to react with the shudderings before taking off. The check engine lite keeps coming on and after driving for about a minute car does not reverse at all until cars shut off. Car right now is not being driven because its been a safety hazard for some time now. This is my only way of transportation. I now have been renting cars while I still pay off this car till this day. The Ford dealership has been lying to me. I hooked up the computer and got a low clutch dual control system error. I got the part changed out and car continues to have check engine lite. I use this vehicle to pick up my daughter every month. For years driving this vehicle never realized how Ford has put me and my daughter in danger by having these faulty vehicles with messed up transmission that didn't belong in these types of vehicle. I took the vehicle to get fixed once and they told me it was a recall and wouldn't happen again after the fix and it continued after some time to go back to its usual shake before take off. Like I said the last time I went for oil change and full inspection of vehicle at scarsdale Ford dealership the mechanic said he took it out for a drive and saw nothing wrong with my car. After I drove it out the dealership car continued to shake and knew that he was lying. They just dont want to fix the problem. Please help I owe over $4000 left on payments and this car isnt worth not even a penny for the danger it put me through everytime I took the car out for a drive. Whenever my car check engine lite came on was when I was on local roads and highway. I have had multiple incidents with the transmission of my 2012 Fiesta, beginning roughly in November of 2014. The first specific incident I can recall occurred on December 18, 2014. I was driving from toledo, ohio to the detroit, mi airport and back. I had two other passengers in my car who noticed the violent shaking/shuddering problems that my vehicle was having when trying to accelerate. The shuddering occurs at both low speeds and high speeds. The shuddering does not occur daily but roughly 4-5 days a week, causing difficulties with acceleration, breaking, and controlling the vehicle. About two months ago I was stopped at a red light at a busy intersection. When I began to accelerate my car started shaking so violently that it could not move forward any more. At that time a semi-truck was coming up behind me and had to swerve to avoid hitting me. The speed limit at this busy intersection is 40mph. At this point my car is unsafe to drive, even though I have taken it in to the dealer multiple times to fix the transmission. So far, the repairs have been unsuccessful and I am told the potential parts to fix the issue (the clutch) is on back order for a minute of 6-8 weeks. I was told to continue driving my car in the mean time, and that no one can assist me at this time, even though I have been trying to rectify this issue since January 2015. Also, the clutch is not guaranteed to fix the problem, as it is the same make as the one currently in my car.

The transmission of the car continues to shudder during motion on city streets and highways. I have a copy of each invoice for supporting documents.

Car makes a grinding noise as mileage increase and does not shift properly. Hesitation while trying to accelerate, makes grinding noise and stutter /shuttering. It rolls backwards on inclines and the transmission jerks while I am driving. It has been serviced twice for the same problem and each time I was told that this normal. Car runs okay for 3000 miles most of the time. I fear that I am going to rear end someone and that someone will rear end me . It makes noise as I turn corners.

Whole front end of vehicle shaking when trying to move forward. Bad transmission fluid burning smell. Once moving every time it shifted between gears it would shake the front end of car. After this incident and starting the car the next day it ran fine until it warmed up. The vehicle shakes during shifting. Sometimes there is a loss of power. Other times the car accelerates more than expected. I have taken the car to the dealership and they are not able to repair the vehicle. I feel that if the car does not respond predictably, there is a risk of accident. The internet discussion groups are full of thousands of other people with the same problem, some have already been involved in accidents. Ford has acknowledged that the transmission is faulty by extending the warranty. Despite Fords extended warranty, the safety issue still exists and they will not remedy the situation unless someone forces them. Please help.

Car jerks and shudders when accelerating, and has been this way since shortly after purchase. Sometimes when pushing down on the accelerator, the car doesn't move forward for as long as 7 seconds, when it will finally jerk forward abruptly. The car frequently bucks forward even while braking or coasting. Ford has �reprogrammed� the car many times and replaced the clutch and entire transmission at least once or twice. This only fixed the issue temporarily, but it returned in a few weeks.

Upon light acceleration vehicle shudders as if engine drops a cylinder. Former mechanic for 40 years. Problem is in transmission. Positive it is clutch slippage. Have an appointment with Ford dealer in cheshire CT. 10/8/2014. Was told a reprogram would be first try to fix. Then a parts replacement. Which I am sure they meant clutches. I have very little confidence that either repair will fix. Also concerned it will probably be even worse if they open it up to replace parts. No confidence in the technicians these days.
