I was involved in a no-fault accident in my 2011 Ford Mustang in April of this year after someone in the lane to my left who was held up in traffic in his lane pulled out into my lane without looking, causing my vehicle to smash into him. The force of the crash caused over $9,000 in damage to my vehicle and left me with 5 herniated discs, hip problems, and a number of other issues. I have had a series of shots in my neck, as well as my spine, both of which have not alleviated my pain. I am now being told that there is nothing that they can do for my neck at this time, and that I have to just learn to live with the pain, and also that I need to have surgery on my lower back. My airbag did not deploy. Two months later, I got a recall letter in from Ford, but I took my car up to the dealership, and they said that there is nothing that they can do. They weren't even interested in trading my car in. I suppose that I should be grateful that it did not go off, as apparently people are dying when they do, but somehow it does not make me feel better, as this has totally messed up my life these last 6 months that have been filled with time-consuming visits to doctors, chiropractors, etc. . . I'm only 36 years old, and now I am suppose to live with this?? it's really terrible what has happened. I don't really know who to talk to about a suit for the airbag situation, as I spoke with my injury attorney who is suing the insurance company for my injuries, and he is somehow under the impression that the airbag lawsuits are only regarding the airbags deploying spontaneously, and not that they are just not going off at all when you need them during an accident. I am confident that if my airbag would have done what it was supposed to do and protect my neck and head during the crash, that I wouldn't have suffered such trauma to my spine that led to this. Please advise.

Takata recall. In the event of the crash, the airbags did not deploy. I was driving in a foot of snow in a mall parking lot going the parking lot speed limit and as I was coming to a yield to turn, I run over the curb that was covered in the snow. The curb was about 3 feet across and I did not clear the distance so I was stuck on the curb top. The car shut off during this event and I hit my head on the windshield hard enough to cause damage as seen in the photo provided because the seat belt I had equipped provided no safety either. The end result airbag dash light is illuminated and the functions of the steering wheel does not operate. Moderate to slightly severe concussion.
2015 Ford Mustang gt was in an accident, where I rear ended another vehicle. The front end was pushed in about 3-4 inches to the point where the drivers door no longer opens and the hood no longer closes, this prompted the knee airbags to go off, driver side airbag went off perfectly fine, however driver side deployed only half way (more like 1/4) which rendered it defective. Spoke to 2 seperate Ford dealerships about it and was told they don't know how an airbag is supposed to work because they did not design it. Recorded the small conversation I had with the Ford dealership service rep, was short because they wouldn't help me, they just basically cut me off and as you can see the airbag failed to deploy properly. . I was coasting to red light when it felt like my car just went without me accalerating my side air bags did not deploy even though I was t boned.
There was a vehicle in front of me. Both vehicles were traveling at the same speed. The car in front of me anchored the brakes. I was 3 car length behind. Th abs failed and did not allow the brakes to resume. We hit the back end of the car in front at 35mph. The passenger seatbelt broke ending my fiancã©e head into the windshield. The airbags did not deploy car was totaled and the Toyota did not have a scratch: myself and my girl are both injured. I purchased this car 5/14. I believe there may not be airbags and I also think this car escaped having to have a salvage title. We are upset to say the least. As it is one thing but to put a consumers life at risk is another. This is the second car from this dealer since March 2014 that we had been given a death trap.

The car was making a dry pass by at a drag strip (non racing) while driving the car ignition cut off, causing a loss of control. Car hit rear quarter panel and then hit the front tire and suspension ripping the front bumper off. Driver was injured but not bad. Had car towed to a Ford dealer, where we were told we would have to pay $4,000 to have a Ford represenative look at, to determine cause for the car to shut off and air bags not deploy.

Driving 40mph kn the right lane of a 4 lane highway with a cement median separating the east and westbound lanes. I hit some black ice, spun 90 degrees across the left lane and hit the median almost head on. Airbag did not deploy.
The car was involved in a one vehicle accident hitting a guard rail on an interstate at 60 mph. It was pretty much a head on collision. The car stopped immediately when hitting the fifth post of the guard rail, stood the car up on its nose, spun around about 360 degrees before landing on the tires. During this time the air bags never deployed or the passenger seat belt caught. The passenger was bounced all around the car. The passengers of the car were looking straight down at the road when the car was spinning on the nose. Now, by god's grace only, these passengers were not extremely injured and was it a fatal impact. However, if the safety features of the car worked properly, less injury would have been experienced. The could have easily rolled and if so, the air bags would have been a necessity of security precautions. Ford should be held accountable for all the Mustangs experiencing air bag and seat belt problems. I purchase a vechile with the safety options has a main decision of choice. If the safety is not there, you are purchasing a "product" of death.
I was driving on the freeway rear ended a old Nissan truck which resulted in me hitting my head against the steering wheel and totaling my car. I was going 40mph and my air bags did not deploy.
On 12/01/2010 my 2007 Ford Mustang coupe fishtailed on black ice in mid-michigan, spun around at least 1. 5 times and collided on the driver's side with several small trees in a ditch. I am the original owner of the vehicle and had the airbag recall performed on the car in 2008 or 2009 at a Ford dealership. None of my airbags deployed. I was traveling approximately 60-65 mph on an expressway. The car was totaled. I sustained injuries, the nature and extent of which are unknown, and wage loss due to my incident. I am concerned because my airbags did not deploy in this collision.
Air bag failed to deploy. Making a left hand turn from a driveway into the street and was hit with speed over 40mph. Completely totaled the front end of car and buckled the hood severely. Front bumper completely removed. Impact was initially on driver side, but the entire front end was destroyed.

I rear ended a large jacked-up truck that had a steel tube bumper at 50mph. The trucks bumper grazed the top of my front bumper and did extensive damage to my front end where the radiator exploded and the hood is touching the engine. But my airbag did not deploy at 50mph! when I hit the truck my car completely shut off right after the impact, but so did my abs, advancetrac traction control and lights and chimes started to go off. If my car shut down due to the impact at 50mph why didn't my airbags go off? thank goodness no one was injured, but someone else may not be so lucky. With a lot more jacked up trucks and steel pipe bumpers I think Ford and other car manufactures need to focus on a new safety feature and not just rely on the bottom section of the bumper getting hit for the airbags to deploy. My entire front end is pushed into the engine, but the bumper is intact except some scrapes on the top. I'm just scared to know that the airbags didn't go off at 50mph with that kind of damage on a 2010 vehicle!!.

My wife and her friend were driving down a 2 lane road in our 2007 Ford Mustang and wrecked into a power poll totaling the car. The front frame was broke in half and the airbags still did not deploy luckily they were not injured bad Ford just told me that is the way they are designed to work. I thought that if in a frontal collision the airbags deploy.
