The contact owns a 2013 Ford Mustang. The contact received recall notifications for NHTSA campaign numbers: 15v319000 (air bags) and 19v001000 (air bags). The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the dealer declined to perform the recall repairs. The contact was informed that, because of the installation of an aftermarket steering wheel, the recall repairs could not be performed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
On [xxx], I was involved in a front-left collision while driving my 2020 Ford Mustang gt (VIN: [xxx] ) with my [xxx] daughter in the front passenger seat. She weighs approximately [xxx] and was properly seated with her seatbelt fastened. The only airbag that deployed was the driver’s knee airbag. The front passenger airbag did not deploy at all. After the accident, the Fordpass system reported multiple “restraints indicator lamp warning” alerts, all timestamped the day of the crash, stating: “your air bag warning is on due to an issue with the front passenger air bag system. The front passenger airbag may not work properly. ” this alert was not visible on the dashboard prior to the crash and was only discovered after checking the app. This failure of the airbag system placed my daughter at serious risk. A properly seated child passenger of sufficient weight should have been protected. The vehicle had approximately 19,177 miles at the time of the accident and had no prior airbag-related service or known damage. The crash occurred at normal road speed during a left turn when another vehicle impacted my front driver-side area. My vehicle is currently with the insurance company and available for full diagnostic inspection by NHTSA or the manufacturer. The passenger-side OCS and srs systems should be investigated for sensor failure, deployment failure, or manufacturer defect. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

My son was driving to school. He was not speeding or any type of reckless driving. He hit an ice patch. His car spun and flew thru the air. The airbag compartment opened but it was defective. All metal shards came flying out of it causing multiple lacerations. He also lost consciousness from the impact and I was told by hospital er doctor the airbag was defective and he was suffering from a very serious concussion.

Subject: request for investigation - fraudulent and falsified vehicle records (crest Ford & roy o'brien Ford, possible involvement of bell Ford) dear attorney general, I am submitting this complaint to formally request an investigation into fraud committed by roy o'brien, an automobile dealership located in michigan. On [xxx], 1 purchased a 2024 dark horse Mustang #r8911 from roy o'brien under the representation that the vehicle was brand new, undamaged, and met all safety standards. After the sale, I obtained evidence that the vehicle had, in fact, been in an accident during transport and subsequently altered and resold without disclosure. This constitutes misrepresentation and consumer fraud under michigan law. Specifically: • the dealership and its employees knowingly concealed the accident and subsequent alterations. • the vehicle was sold as "factory new," despite being materially compromised in safety and integrity. • I paid full market value under false pretenses, believing the vehicle to be undamaged and original. I have retained documentation, communications, and repair evidence that substantiate this fraud, including proof that dealership personnel were aware of the accident. I am prepared to provide all supporting records for your review. This misconduct not only caused me financial harm but also created a serious public safety risk, as the vehicle does not meet proper safety standards. I respectfully request that your office investigate this matter for potential violations of michigan's consumer protection act and any applicable fraud statutes. Please advise me on next steps and whether additional information is required. I am willing to fully cooperate with your investigation. 1. The vehicle had been in an accident during transport prior to sale. 2. Crest Ford appears to have falsely documented services that were never performed, in an effort to disguise the vehicle's accident history and damage. 3. These falsified service records were used to conspire. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom o.
I bought the car on Dec 20th 2024. The dealership informed me of the recall and turned off the passenger side airbag. I returned to the dealership as scheduled about 2 weeks later. When I went to pick up my car after work the service center said they couldn't fix the problem because the airbag didn't exist and sent me on my way. I tried calling the sales person but had to leave a message. There has been no other communication.

The airbag light is on, the vehicle has not been in an accident. The vehicle has less than 50k miles on it. The bags have never deployed. I did not have this repaired. There is a seatbelt recall that affects airbags. . . Ford motor company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2015 Ford Mustang vehicles manufactured August 18, 2014, to October 2, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the passenger safety belt tension sensor may misclassify the size of the front passenger seat occupant. This could cause a child size occupant to be classified as an adult and an adult passenger to be classified as a child passenger. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 208, "occupant crash protection. " does this cause the airbag light to come on???.

Took the 2005 Mustang gt in several years ago to have one airbag replaced. Dealer (autonation torrance, California) stated parts were not available for the other side. One of the airbags has never been replaced. I now read there is a "do not drive" recall for vehicles of this year and model in "zone a".

- the light of the airbag and seatbelt came on my dashboard, went to the dealership and they told me that there's an issue with the control module, apparently there is a recall for that but since my car wasn't called they could repair. - backup camera goes completely off when trying to go on reverse.

Did not sustain some sort of accident in order for me to notice thank god, I simply noticed thanks to multiple virtual methods which told me-considering how stupidly fast this car is and how important air bags are whe combined with that I thought id do this. Ford doesn't really care unless it can somehow bleed more money from something so. . . Kinda just letting y'all know. Not much else I can do. . Other than drive really carefully (5-speed and I suck with manual :().

Dealership refuses to do recall.
There is a well known evaporator core issue with the Ford Mustangs/trucks that were produced between the 2015-2017 models. Freon leaks out of the evaporator core due to poor build quality this creates a white film on the windshield of the vehicle that makes it hard for drivers to see. This happened to me when I first bought my car and I could have crashed but was able to safely pull over and clean the windshield off. This film buildup can happen at anytime and also releases an unpleasant order into the atmosphere that should not be breathed in and is very harmful to the environment. Ford is well aware of this issue and decided to avoid doing a recall to prevent the company from losing money. I am also having an airbag issue on my Mustang this one is current. I have not been in any accidents or driven the car in anyway to make the light come on. The drivers side airbag light is on and is indicating that their is an issue with my airbag system. This is a huge safety concern and I don't want to wait for something to happen for either of these issues to be fixed. The ac issue is new for me with Ford but out of the 4 Mustangs I have owned 3 of them have all had recalls for an airbag issue. The first was my 2005 v6 base model. The second was my 2010 Mustang gt. And the third was my 2014 Mustang gt. This is now my 4th Mustang and still having air bag issues. Please do something about any of these issues if you can. I am sure numerous of other people have experienced what I am experiencing. I have even done research and seen forums that are over 150 pages long regarding some of the safety issues mentioned in this message. Please and thank you very much.
The lane assist kept pulling to the right when the lane markings were unclear. Entering highway, lanes go from 2 to 1. We were merging when a car tried to merge into us. We moved over to the right and the lane assist pulled us into a curb. We ended up in a roll over accident and no air bags opened or went off.

It stolen.
Was going 25mph on a straight dry road, 2 traction control lights popped up and an alert saying advancetrac is off, which is a feature you have to be in park with your foot on the brake and hold the traction control button for 8 seconds to turn off, when the light turned on the car downshift and turned sideways causing me to go into a barrier, steering wheel airbag and passenger airbag both only broke out of the trim and did not inflate fully.
Tried to go through dealer they refused to fix.
There is a crack in the metal weld of the vehicle by both top corners of the windshield. This crack has allowed water into the interior of the car and soaked the side airbag in between the driver door and windshield.

For nearly a year now I’ve been in touch with Ford and its dealerships to get this recall rectified to no avail. I spoke to corporate Ford customer care on 2/6/23 and was told that the vehicle in question with the recall will not be repaired due to its age! so I responded on a recorded line to make it clear Ford is refusing to repair the recall and is opening its self up for a major law suit. Mind you my teenage son is the primary operator of the vehicle and Ford simply doesn’t care. Please file a violation to the said recall on our behalf ty.
