Takata inflators I have on multiple occasions contacted my local Ford dealership, astro Ford of d'iberville, ms, about having recall replacement of both driver and passenger air bags. They put me off, do not return calls or messages, and generally refuse to do the required replacements. Date of most recent contact given.

Takata inflators. I have been trying since last August to get the recall done on both my front airbags. First the dealer(charles gabus Ford in desmoines iowa)promised me a loaner car for the day my car would be in the shop, only to travel there 40 miles and then they say they had none available. Then I contacted Ford motor CO. Recall department just to try to get my name off of their recall mailing list due to the fact that they don't really take this recall seriously. After requesting to talk to a supervisor because I was getting nowhere with this woman ,she simply hung up on me.

The passenger side airbag deployed while I was driving the vehicle. The vehicle was not involved in an accident nor did it contact any object, vehicle or otherwise. I was simply driving the vehicle at the posted speed, under dry conditions, on a straight asphalt 2 lane public road when the passenger airbag deployed. I contacted my local Ford dealer and explained what happened. The Ford dealer instructed me to bring the vehicle to the dealer where they would service it by replacing the airbag and defective inflator, whereby the inflator is under a recall. After dropping off my vehicle I was contacted by the dealer to tell me Ford motor company would not repair or replace the airbag module; and it was my (the consumer) responsibility to replace the airbag module.

Takara inflators: my complaint is that I am having a difficult time getting my local Ford dealership to take care of the recall because I did not buy the car from them. I have been on a waiting list for over a year. I called again yesterday and had to put my name on the list again! I was told they had to order the parts and he could not give me an approximate idea of how long this would take.

Takata recall - there has been a recall on the passenger frontal airbag inflator since June 1, 2016 and still no remedy available. We haven't been driving the vehicle very much since the passenger side is unsafe if we were to be involved in an accident.
Takata inflators. I have been waiting & waiting. Finally, I recieved a notice from Ford motor company that the repair is available & to contact the dealer for the repair. I did, however, the dealer politely informed me that they do not know why Ford would send out these notices when in fact, they still do not have the parts. Extremely frustrating for all parties involved. It has been over a year now & still unable to use the vehicle.
Takata recall - letter from Ford today (3/26/18) "please call your dealer without delay and request a service date for recall 16s26 to receive your free repair". I did. Service rep said they could not schedule me because the dealership has no idea when or how many of the replacement parts will be coming. Me : will I get another (3rd) letter telling me when the parts are available ? them : no, you'll just have to keep calling back. Me : aarrrgghhhhh. Also in the letter, "if you have difficulties getting your vehicle repaired promptly . . . Contact our Ford customer relationship center 1-866-436-7332. I did. When I asked why Ford dealerships don't know when or how many parts they are getting I was put OH hold. After 19 minutes on the phone I was told parts "should be available by fri. 4/9/18" and that it was up to me to keep calling to see when and if my dealership had the parts available. (1) in this day and age, is it too much to ask that the dealerships be responsible for notifying auto owners when the freaking parts are available so then they could call to schedule their repair ??? (2) letter states "if an inflator explodes sharp metal fragments could strike the passenger or other occupants causing serious injury or death. " doesn't this make the car unsafe to drive at all ? I've only owned it since July 2017 and because of this recall have driven it less than 500 miles yet my insurance payments of $50/month keep on a comin'. This recall process is (a) broken, and (b) frustrating since I really shouldn't be driving this car at all, yet Ford says don't worry, just don't allow anyone to sit in the passenger seat. You would think Ford would pay a little more attention to their dedicated Mustang owners . . . Wouldn't you ?? thanks for your time, doubt there's anything you can do about how they manager their recall. Let me reiterate - aaarrgghhh. :-(.
"takata recall" - received a recall notice in 2016 concerning defective inflators in air bags. Contacted local Ford dealer on numerous occasions (6+). Dealer will not return my calls. Was told today that repair parts are still not available. This is not an acceptable length of time to get a recall repaired. I would expect better service from Ford than I have received. Currently I own a 2005 Mustang with only 84,000 miles and I can not have a passenger in the front seat area. Unacceptable!!! it has been over 18 months. Again unacceptable!!.
Takata recall 17s01. Passenger front airbag inflator could rupture if this vehicle is involved in a crash. Waiting for months for a remedy. Dealer admitted, levittown Ford in NY, that only southern states are getting the parts for this repair as of now, and that I will be notified. Ford states that it is safe to drive yet there is contradictory and inconsistent statements and evidence that supports a danger to the front passenger side. If the parts are available in southern states, there is no evidence that supports that northern states are less at risk of injury from a rupturing defective airbag. I am furious that I cannot put a front passenger in the car, with good conscience, that there could be a serious injury caused by this defect. Please look into the misleading recall status, "recall incomplete, remedy not yet available. " catching Ford in a lie will not lead to a good outcome for them should my car not get fixed soon.
We have contacted multiple dealerships over the last two years and no one ever has the parts to correct the airbag inflator problem.
Takata recall. Ford sent a safety recall notice dated December 2017, in regards to a passenger side airbag inflator: 16s26. In this letter, Ford tells me there will be no parts available until at a minimum of spring 2018, and word for Ford: "warning: until remedy parts become available, do not allow anyone to sit in the first row passenger seat. The air bag could rupture during deployment in a crash and cause injuries or death. When the front row passenger seat is not occupied, the passenger air bag will not deploy, eliminating the risk. " Ford customer service has stated there are no loaners due to this. . Just that I cannot have any passengers in my car. I do not feel safe for myself and my family, and find it ridiculous my only option is to not have any passengers. Ford needs to legally provide a rental car as they feel they don't need to assist the customers they are putting in danger.
Takata inflators - how is is that according to the wall street journal 12/19/17 that Honda is going door to door to find people who haven't responded to them but Ford can't get the airbags for this model in stock? it's been 18 months.

Takata recall : I would like to file a complaint for the replacement for my passenger side airbag inflator (safety recall 16s26 / NHTSA recal 16v-384). I received a notice from Ford in July of 2016 and have contacted a local garage to request with no action taken by Ford or the manufacturer of the airbag (takata corporation). I would like my vehicle passenger airbag inflator repaired in a timely manner to avoid injury or death to myself and vehicle occupants.

Letter from congressman goodlatte on behalf of constituent re 2007 Ford Mustang safety recall 16s26-passenger airbag inflator replacement.
Takata recall. Have been informed they still do not have passenger side inflator and do not know when it will be available.
During July 2016, I received a letter from Ford motor company recalling one of my Ford Mustang air bags (recall 16v-384, 16s26). After patiently waiting for a year and a half for a letter stating new air bag inflators were available, I called Ford last week to get a recall status. The Ford representative stated that my recall was valid but Ford could not tell me when a replacement air bag inflator would be available. This response from Ford was outrageous since the takata air bag issue has been known for some years now and Ford has had more than enough time to find and procure replacements. Please contact Ford and demand they stop delaying progress on airbag replacements.
Takata recall we have been waiting and checking periodically for several years with santa monica Ford (our local Ford dealer/service shop) for permanent replacement of the driver side and passenger side inflators, and are told they are still not available.
Takata recall. After 3 years, Ford still does not have my passenger side inflator ready to install. This is ridiculous, and I refuse to be forced to take my vehicle into the dealer twice for the airbags. Please direct Ford to get both replacement inflators into stock immediately so that I can get my vehicle fixed once and for all. Three years is far too long to wait! what is the holdup!?.
The passenger frontal airbag inflator could rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the supplemental frontal airbags are designed to deploy. This defect report is in response to takata dirs 16e-042, 16e-043, 16e-044. The passenger frontal airbag inflator could rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the supplemental frontal airbags are designed to deploy. This defect report is in response to takata dirs 16e-042, 16e-043, 16e-044. I have tried to get this replaced at Ford in patterson CA a few times! no luck! please help I have kids in my car.
Takata recall, received a recall letter from Ford motor company July 2016 saying there is a recall on airbag inflator passenger side 16s26. I have called the dealership several times asking if the part has come in and their answer is the same each time "no part". This has been way over a year since I received notice, as today date is 10/24/2017. I have not driven this car since I have received this notice, afraid something may happen causing an accident or more. I have also tried calling Ford motor company and received the same answer ,"no part". Does something have to happen before you take the owner complaint? 24.
Takata inflators replacement 16s26 what is the problem? no replacement as of 10/23/2017 ! Ford statement is parts are not currently available .
Takata recall: rec'd letter regarding recall July 2016, still unable to have passenger airbag inflator replaced. I have called dealership numerous times and they still do not have the airbags to replace the faulty one. I am in fear if anyone is riding with me, and the damage it may cause, even life. Nothing has happened as of yet and I am thankful. I try to avoid passengers due to this malfunction. When will these be available???.
Takata recall: passenger frontal airbag inflator could rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the supplemental frontal airbags are designed to deploy. Per airbagrecall. Com on 10-21-17 recall status is listed as incomplete. Remedy not yet available.
Takata recall--my dealer says the inflators are not available. . . . . It's been years!!! and I am till waiting. . . . . This is ridicules. The Ford dealer can't fix the problem with the part.
Takata recall: Ford will not authorize a rental car while the air bag recall is being rectified. I have called all my local utah dealers as well as spoken to many managers at the Ford motor company customer service, and the answer I get is that Ford will not pay for a rental car. I was assigned case number 13037449 and this is tied to the VIN. The Ford customer service folks were of no help and said the car is safe to drive, but yet this is a safety recall. I have a letter from Ford stating the recall associated with my 2006 Ford Mustang can result in serious injury or death due to a ruptured inflator discharging metal fragments, striking the vehicle occupants. My spouse is always a passenger in the vehicle, and we don't feel safe driving the vehicle with the outstanding safety recall. With one car out of commission due to a safety recall, Ford should authorize use of a rental car, paid for by Ford motor company.
Takata inflators takata still has not made available recall replacement airbag for passenger seat.
It has been over 1 year since the discovery of safety issues with the passenger side airbag in my car. There has been no urgency around fixing this issue in a timely manner. Please help expedite the replacement process so I don't have to watch someone I care about die next to me due to shrapnel injuries from a faulty inflator.
Takata recall: after multiple attempts to schedule an appointment for both driver and passenger airbag inflator recalls to be completed over the past 2 years - they still remain unfixed. The last attempt finally secured an appointment (Saturday, July 8, 2017 - 4:00 pm). Upon arrival, I was informed that I needed to leave the vehicle for 5-7 days as no parts were available. When I asked if they had a rental/loaner program as I cannot be without transportation for that long, I was informed that they only have 40 loaners and they were all out. Then I was informed that they do not have a rental program. When I explained that this is my only form of transportation and I have been trying to have this completed for almost 2 years, I was advised I could either leave the vehicle or contact another dealer. Even after I explained that I fear for both my family's he repeated himself stating I could contact another dealer and was sent away. As we all know, this recall has not only caused seriously injuried, it has taken lives. I am asking for nyour assistance in getting these recalls completed. I value both mine and my family's lives. After 2 years parts should be available. Below you will find the dealer information: citrus motors Ford and kia 1375 s. Wooddruff way ontario, CA 91761 (800) 447-8907 after careful research, I understand that takata has filed bankruptcy and the vehicle manufacturers are no longer using their products. I know that there are 4 other vendors with available parts and there are no shortage of parts. Maybe Ford should communicate with american Honda motor company and take a pagenfrom their book. I know many Honda owners who have had their recalls completed without hesitation and/or issues with the company. Koodos to Honda, wish that I and my family as 3 generations loyal Ford owners would receive the same service.
Nhtsa recall 16v384 was issued a year ago for the passenger air bag inflator on my car. I phoned the Ford dealer today 6/26/2017 and was told that parts are still not available for the repair. If Ford can obtain millions of air bags for the new cars they have designed, manufactured, and sold since this recall was issued, it is unacceptable and inexcusable that they cannot obtain parts for this recall repair in a timely manner.
Takata recall - we have contacted the Ford dealership several times regarding the recall for the takata airbag inflator. We are told the dealership does not have the parts to make the necessary repair, and is waiting for the manufacturer to send them the parts.
Takata recall. Frontal passenger airbag inflator may rupture and has not been repaired. Received notification through the mail March 2017. I've contacted vista Ford of woodland hills CA numerous times since the first notification & also spoke to the mgr. Of service jeff harkness. Jeff indicated he has no information on when the replacement parts will be available whatsoever. Need to have the airbag repaired ASAP. If it ruptures, it might kill or severally injure someone. Already had on airbag replaced on the driver side, now the passenger side?.
Takata recall. I received a letter in March 2017 telling me the passenger frontal airbag inflator needs to be replaced. I was instructed to wait for further word from Ford when I could have this done -- so far, after 10 months, I have still not heard anything.
