Takata recall (17s01/NHTSA recall 17v-024) received in March 2017 states that a ruptured inflator may cause serious injury or death. For this reason I have not driven this vehicle while waiting for the airbags to be repaired. My Ford dealer continues to report that there are no parts available to fix this issue, so I am unable to drive it for fear of injury or death. It has been months of waiting for parts and it is unacceptable that this issue can not be repaired yet.

Takata recall: I received a notice several months ago informing me that the passenger frontal inflator could rupture if my vehicle was involved in a crash where the frontal airbags are designed to deploy. I was told I would receive further instructions once the parts were received. I have yet to receive any more instructions. I am about to take a cross country trip with this vehicle and would greatly appreciate having this matter resolved prior to starting this trip, and endangering my passenger.
Tl- takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that the vehicle was included 2 air bag recalls. Within a month of owning the vehicle, the drivers side air bag inflator was replaced for a manufacturer air bag recall. In addition, the contact had waited for months but the front passenger side air bag inflator was not available for NHTSA campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags) so the contact was uncertain as to when the vehicle may be repaired. The dealer (theodore robins Ford, 2060 harbor blvd, costa mesa, CA 92628, (800) 494-0756) had been contacted for months and had no specific time frame from the manufacturer to receive the part which was unacceptable for the contact. The manufacturer was contacted to determine when the remedy and part may be supplied to the dealer. VIN tool confirms parts not available. Dyd.

Takata reall I purchased this car as a used vehicle in Dec. 2014. Shortly after this I found that the vehicle had been recalled. I received the notice in may 2015. The car has not been repaired yet because the part is not available. About a week ago I received a notice from Ford to schedule the repair. I made an appointment for today and took the vehicle in. I was told that the part is not available. I called Ford and was told that the notice was sent by mistake, and that my car will have to wait for the repair. This is very frustrating and I think Ford needs to compensate the owners for the diminished value of the car during the time that it has this dangerous airbag still in the car for almost two years. Volkswagen had to buy back cars that just polluted the air a little. Ford can get away with cars that can kill the owners and have done just that. I am including a scan of the notice that Ford sent me. Cannot sell the car at least not for very much and really should not drive it. At least Honda motor corporation offers loaner cars for their takata airbag problem cars. Ford has absolutely refused to offer loaners for their dangerous vehicles. I am just lucky so far that I have not been in accident that will deploy the dangerous supplemental restraint system using the takata airbag with defective inflator. I also worry that the other airbags in this car will have the same problem.

Now, there is yet another - safety recall 16v384. While Ford has replaced the driver airbag inflator replacement, they have not replaced the passenger airbag inflator. This recall is over a year old - and Ford cannot give any update as to when (or if) the passenger airbag inflator will ever be replaced!.

Takata recall. Nhtsa recall number: 17v024 manufacturer recall number: 17s01 passenger airbag inflator replacement recall was issued Jan 10, 2017. Parts are not available to fix the problem.
Takata recall-passenger side airbag inflator->Ford is incompletely not replacing these in a timely fashion. I have waited over a year to have the driver's airbag replaced, and now over 6 months for the passenger side -and they still have not replaced it. Some type of penalty should be meted out!! please help!!!.
Takata recall - Ford changed the status of my driver side airbag inflator recall from "remedy not available" to "recall incomplete", implying that parts are now available and it is now my responsibility to have it replaced. But no dealership in my area has any such parts, and cannot even estimate when they may be able to order parts to comply with this recall. I have checked with two Ford dealers in my area (portland oregon) and they cannot help me resolve this. Ford is wrongfully changing the status of this recall for unknown reason(s).
Takata inflators. Due to the outstanding recall of the passenger side air bag on my Mustang, my Ford dealer informed me that they would not take in as a trade or would have to offer me less then the car would be worth as a trade in because they would not resell the car and would take it straight to auction. Since Ford was originally responsible as they are the manufacturer that installed this air bag when the car was manufactured, and this is the reason that the vehicle has this issue, they should be stepping up and compensating either the owner or any dealer that would take this car in on trade for any loss in value so that the present owner is not tied to a vehicle because of the lost value due to this recall issue.
Air bag replace inflator need one more for passenger seat.
Takata recall. Takata has declared bankruptcy (ch 11 case no. 17-11375 (bls)) and sent out postcards that states: "if your vehicle contains a defective or potentially defective airbag inflator and is under recall, contact your nearest dealership immediately to schedule a free repair. " this recall has been in effect for over a year, and multiple contacts with local dealerships have led no where as they state that the parts are not yet available.

Driver airbag recalls as inflator rupture could result in metal fragments striking and seriously injuring me or passengers. Ford dealerships have been saying for a year they haven't received replacement airbags yet. They also will not offer other forms of compensation (e. G. Replacing car or taking airbag out).
Takata recall - part replacement for this used car is still outstanding. (is Ford creating the replacement inflator as has been informally reported?) VIN number was not found in NHTSA listing, which concerns me greatly, so will I still be informed when replacement part(s) available since this has now been reported?! the car is a convertible(cv) if that makes any difference. Would like to have part replaced immediately as three people, including two children, are transported in car every day, and the inflator issue is very concerning. The delay in replacement is unacceptable in my view. Parts should be replaced ASAP!! please treat replacement with real urgency and let the author have frequent updates via mail or e-mail.
Takata recall was received 5 months ago for the front driver side airbag inflator housing. I have been calling various dealers in my area for over 5 months and not one dealer has the parts to replace the housing. How long do I have to wait to get this resolved????.

"takata recall" I received a safety recall notice in may 2016 notifying me of the recall for the driver and passenger side air bag inflator. I made an appointment with mike patton Ford in lagrange GA. They replaced the driver side air bag inflator on 08/22/2016. They said the passenger side air bag inflator was not available and would let me know when it was. I have checked back several times, but it still was not in stock. Still waiting. The car has not been driven since as I don't want to possibly injure someone riding with me.

Airbag recall is issued on may 27, 2015. I bought my car from torkin gresham dealership on 5th of August. The recall says: safety risk: an inflator rupture could result in metal fragments striking and potentially seriously injuring vehicle occupants. Remedy: dealers will replace the driver airbag inflator with a new one, free of charge. Recall status: recall incomplete. Remedy not yet available dealership told me that I can easly go to a Ford service and replace the airbag for my safety, they accepted that they did not try to complete the recall before putting the car on the market. After I bought the car, I called a Ford service, and they told me that the remedy is not ready, the replacement parts are not provided by Ford yet. Did I buy an unsafe car? is it dealership's or Ford's fault? I want to replace the dangerous parts as soon as possible.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2008 Ford Mustang. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags) for the front passenger inflator; however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Passenger side front airbag inflator may rupture with metal fragments hitting the passenger.
Takata inflators: I received a recall notice on the passenger airbag last July 2016 and has not been replaced. My wife will not ride in it because of this. She has recently recovered from 2 bouts of cancer and does not want to get injured or killed because of a defective airbag. When can I expect a replacement?.
Takata recall. Notified by Ford motor company on July 21 of 2016 of safety recall 16s26 involving the passenger side airbag inflator. Since then I have checked three times on the status for resolution and received no information.
"takata recall" - I received my letter on July 2016 stating I needed to replace the passenger frontal airbag inflator. Since this date I have made 5 attempts to have someone give me a schedule as to when this issue will be resolved. One year later I am still getting the run around from Ford. On July 17, 2017 I contacted the Ford michigan headquarters and they told me to call customer relations at 800-392-3673. The conversation began with the same excuse that they were working on the problem and I would receive a letter when the air bag could be replaced. It was at that time I stated I wanted them to open a case file for me. The number I received for the open case is cas12729115. Not allowing anyone to sit in the passenger seat for one year has caused an enormous burden on my family for fear that serious injury may result. Your help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
Takata recall: received a recall letter from Ford motor company July 2015 and another July 2016. Contacted local Ford dealer concerning recall 2 months ago to have airbag inflator replaced. As of this date (9/2/2016) have received no word regarding part's arrival (dealership assured me they would call when part arrived). Please note that it has been over 1 year since receiving 1st recall letter and nearly 8 weeks and pending that part still has not come in.
Takata recall; I received a letter from Ford motor company in July of 2016 that informed me of a safety recall (16s26 / NHTSA recall 16v-384) that affects my vehicle and further states that should there be an airbag deployment, a ruptured inflator may cause serious injury or death. I have not yet been contacted for the replacement inflator and I have visited my local dealership on two occasions to status the recall. I was interested in having the passenger side inflator deactivated until the repair was accomplished but the dealership representative stated they were not authorized to deactivate. Therefore, I need your authorization to allow Ford to deactivate the passenger side inflator immediately and until the recall has been satisfied.
Takata inflators the existing recall on the passenger airbag of July 2016 indicates that it is not safe for a person to ride in the front passenger seat. I just received a notice that it is hoped that there will be a fix for this defect in 2018. Because the back seats of this model of Mustang have limited space for legs, my vehicle is now limited to accommodating the driver only. This car was not purchased as a commuter vehicle and it appears that I will be looking at about two years where I can't use it. This seems like and extremely long fine to address this problem. Is there any other options for getting this fixed or replaced?.
Takata recall: org. Complaint #11035736 original letter regarding recall, dated 2016. Call autoway Ford 07/29/16 and was told no parts, called again numerous times after that, I know for sure I called on 10/23/17 and again 02/15/18. Parts manager called me on 02/15/18 due to my concern with the inflator not being replaced. He stated that they were getting some in but they are for only 2011, 2012, 2013 vehicles since they are newer and more of these years on the road. I have not been able to have a passenger in my car for a long time due to the liability. I don't feel I should be punished because my vehicle is a 2006, with only 54. 000 miles on it. I am very upset at this time. Ford is no way helping me. I noticed when I got to the site it said to contact dealer and ask for a free loaner, will all dealerships do this?? if I leave car at dealership, I am afraid someone will use it because the day I bought it, I had to pick it up the next day and the manager took his wife to dinner in it. I did not approve of this at all. Please advise as to the status of the inflator for my passenger air bag. Thank you.
Takata recall - received recall for passenger frontal airbag inflator recall in July 2016. (note: driver side has been repaired). Have called Ford for repair and as of today they still cannot give a date when repairs can be completed. I have no other choice but to minimize any driving on this unsafe vehicle. Yesterday, I received a legal notice from tk holdings inc. Concerning the airbag inflators informing me that takata corporation has filed for bankruptcy. It is obvious that takata has no plans to make repairs so I request that dot force automakers to standby their products and expedite the repairs or remunerate owners for the retail price of the vehicle. .
Safety recall notice15s21/ NHTSA recall 15v-319 driver side front airbag inflator parts are available safety recall notice16s26/NHTSA recall 16v-384 passenger side airbag inflator parts are not avaiiable and its been since July 2016. Why is it taken so long for maxwell Ford to correct this issue???.
Takata inflators - reference complaint no. 11006081 and no. 11006075 airbag r07eplacement - 2007 Mustang and 2008 fusion: I found the following information on a Honda website - "the alpha driver-front airbag inflators were the subject of the first takata airbag inflator recalls starting in 2008. In most cases, the previous owners of these affected vehicles did not replace the inflators under those recalls and, thus, the vehicles remain unrepaired. Now, because of the time that has passed, they are even more likely to rupture if the driver's airbag deploys in a crash. In fact, in testing done by takata, alpha inflators removed from vehicles in consistently hot and humid areas showed a rupture rate as high as 50 percent. " can I expect the same, higher percentage of kill rate, in the inflators in my 2007 Mustang and 2008 fusion as they age, as found by Honda? I will pay to have the airbags/inflators replaced - request your office provide the correct part numbers and recommended place to have the work correctly accomplished. I did not receive a response from your office to either referenced complain, any information your office can provide is appreciated. V/r, tom.
