Takata recall received a notification for replacement of my passenger-side airbags many months ago, saying that I would be notified when the part was available. I never received a notification of availability, so I just called the dealership and was informed that Ford *still* hasn't released this product for replacement, so I am still unable to get my passenger side airbag replaced.

It has been over a year waiting for parts from takata. My dealership says that as of today 11/6/2017 parts are not available to complete the repair. The passenger side airbag is the one affected. My dealership says that they do not have a timeframe available to estimate parts availability. I was told to simply wait. And when a letter arrives to bring my car in.

Takata recall. It has been over a year and a half since the drivers side airbag was replaced and I was told the passengers side would be available a month later. I have called many times and been told "not yet" when asked if the replacement was in. Now I get a post card saying takata are filing bankruptcy. I am very concerned about my safety and that of passengers in my car. I feel it is unsafe.

Takata recall I received multiple notices of this recall for passenger side airbags. I contact all american Ford in hackensack and Ford corporate. Both state that they are unable to affect repair due to unavailability of parts from takata. I am concerned because airbag failure is a significant safety issue. I just was my car repaired. Now I received notice of the takata bankruptcy. Why can't I get my Ford Mustang repaired by Ford or replace the airbag with safer ones?.

Takata recall, NHTSA recall number 16v384: passenger side airbag requires replacement. Received 1st notice on June 1, 2016. As of today, oct. 31, 2017, no new part is available according to my local Ford dealership.

Takata recall: nothing has happened (yet), but I found that there was a recall regarding the passenger side airbags, which pose a danger to any passengers in that seat and that the recall is from June 2016. This is over one year now and I contacted my Ford dealership. They informed me that they do not have the parts and that Ford has not provided a timeline for the shop in the near future for the replacement of the airbags. I am supposed to wait for a letter, when I was not even informed in June 2016. I only found out now, because we received a note in the mail that takata is restructuring / filing for bankruptcy protection and that we may need to file our claim with them by December 27, 2017. So, they are getting off the hook and Ford has no timeline. Meanwhile, we are driving an unsafe vehicle with no means to fix it ourselves.

The driver's side airbag has been replaced but not the passenger side and every time I contact the dealership about this issue, I am told that the airbags are not available yet and they have no idea when they will be available.

Takata recall. I have had my driver side airbag replaced, but cannot get the passenger side airbag resplaced because the dealer informed me they are unable to get the part. This has been going on for over a year, and I am extremely concerned about transporting passengers in my car because of this.

Takada recall - in response to the notice I received from takada on oct, 25, 2017, I contacted power Ford in albuquerque, nm, as instructed to schedule repairs to the passenger side airbag. The service manager, brian dunn, was honest in informing me that he had no reasonable expectation that parts were going to be available anytime in the near future for them to make the repairs. What remedy do I have?.

Takata recall I have had this recall for my passenger side airbag since July 2016 and I have been to the dealer several times to have this issue resolved and they tell me there is no resolution at this time.

Takata recall-parts not available to fix and now I received notice that the company is filing chapter 11. I cannot make my vehicle safe! luckily, I have not had an accident yet and I was able to get the parts for the driver side airbag recall.

Takata recall: on July 2016 received a notice from Ford regarding the nthsa recall 16v-384. The Ford identification number is recall notice 16s26. I checked with my Ford dealer on recall fix status on July 2017 and again on October 2017. It has been over a year that the recall was identified and there is no fix yet. I am concerned about driving anyone (specially my wife) in the passenger seat and so far I have not been able to get a fixed date from Ford. If their new cars do not have this issue, why don't Ford and takata have a fix for the old cars too ? as a side note, I am not complaining about the driver side air bag. That one Ford fixed some time ago.

I took my car in to have the drivers side air bag replaced once there I was imformed that the dealership only had the drivers side and not the passenger side which also needed replacement. About 6 months later I was imformed that the driver side may have been replaced with another defected air bag its been almost a year and a half and still they have not replaced these air bags. Each time I call the dealership they imform me they stiill do not have any replacement bags period from takata what is going on ????.

I have received numerous notices about this recall,however I can not get a Ford dealer to replace the passenger side air bag, there always backed up or the do not have the parts, this has been going on for over a year, I was told not to drive the car by Ford motor CO. Until it was repaired, yet there is always an excuse why they cant get to it. This car has sat in my garage long enough, I want it fixed.

I had the drivers side air bag replaced on my Mustang by a dealership, but I have not been able to get the passenger side airbag replaced. All of the dealers in my area keep telling me the part is not in stock for the passenger side airbag. Now they say they will call me, but I have not received a call back from any of the dealerships. The car is being driven on city streets and highways. I don't have a current picture of the Mustang but it is in very good shape.

"takata recall" - when does it become a "if the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner" issue? I have a car that has a safe driver's side airbag, but a dangerous passenger side air bag. Aren't my passengers worthy to be safe also? why is it taking soooo long to ensure the passenger air bag won't injure or kill my passengers? NHTSA database on my VIN states the recall is there. . . But can't be fixed???? why ??? they were able to fix the driver's side.

Greenway Ford replaced my driver airbag in a timely manner, however I have contacted greenway Ford in orlando, FL several times to schedule the replacement of my passenger and side airbags. As of the last inquiry on sept 16, 2017 hey are saying they don't have the parts. Now I see that takata is filing bankruptcy and will deny liability. I am concerned about not having these airbags replaced. Are there any other options?.

While driving vehicle less than a mile from my home noticed I had no air when I hit the ac button as it was very warm day this has happened intermittently in the last 2 years , so I pulled over and turned the car off and restarted and the air and a/c began working. I took into Ford when car was still under the 3 year 36000 mile bumper to bumper warranty for this issue and was basically told they could not do anything since it was no occurring at that time. I have also had issues with windows fogging up while driving after just starting the vehicle since owning it. This car also has a defective clear coat finish on the back of vehicle trunk area. The clear coat on the black panel of the trunk is peeling off this car is only 4 years old and this is completely unacceptable. I cannot believe the clearcoat is peeling off as badly is it is. I am embarrassed to drive this car with the clearcoat peeling off the way it is. This should not be happening at all. I have owned Ford vehicles my whole life and am extremely disappointed with the quality of this Mustang(which I had to save my money four 4 years before I could buy one) I had a 1995 Mustang gt for 13 years never had any issues with the paint on it. I have always bought Ford but I will never buy another Ford vehicle again. I still cannot believe the finish is peeling off on a 4 yr old vehicle. I am also very unhappy with the fact that I had to drive my car for over a year and a half with defective drivers side airbag before they actually replaced it. I had to reduce my driving until it was replaced almost a year and a half after receiving the recall notice.

Recall passenger side air bag defective notified for over 2 years dealerships say they don't have the parts to install under recall. . . Help is needed vehicle was hit airbag never opened on passage side.

Takata recall-- for the past 2 years I have received several recall notices (safety recall number 15s21/ NHTSA number 15v319) regarding driver and front seat passenger air bags. My dealer preformed the recall on the driver side air bag but for 2 years has been telling me Ford has not sent the parts to perform the passenger airbag recall. I had the driver side airbag repair completed. On 8/25/17 I called Ford directly. They said they have never had the parts to fix the recall and don't know when they will get them. Yet they continue to send me recall notices that say failure to fix the recall can result " serious injury or death. " seems like Ford is not making a serious effort to fix this known dangerous condition. Also, how many vehicles will change hands where the new owner will never receive notice of the recall or the dangers arising from failure to repair the recall?.

Takata airbag recall Ford has not notified me that repair can be made on the passenger side airbag of my 2006 Mustang. When I call my local dealerships, I am told that I will be notified by Ford when the replacement parts are available, but I have been asking for the past 6 months and still no remedy has been forthcoming from Ford. All I want is to have my passenger airbag replaced so the danger can be removed from my Mustang. Ford is not addressing this dangerous issue in a timely manner. I am unhappy with them and that is the complaint. Please force them to provide the necessary recall and repair as soon as possible. Thanks!.

Takata recall. On two occasions I asked Ford to indicate whether or not the side air bags installed in my Mustang were supplied by takata and if so would they be recalled. On both occasions Ford sidestepped my request and refused to answer my questions directly. I believe Ford is being dishonest, only trying to limit their liability, at my safety and expense. Note: Ford has recalled both the frontal air bags but has only replaced one. (see attached letters). Please instruct Ford to indicate if the side air bags on my Mustang were supplied by takata, instruct Ford to recall them if they were and instruct Ford to expedite the replacement of the takata air bags not yet replaced (the second frontal air bag recall is over a year old). Note: there is no doubt in my mind that Ford has had enough time to resolve any technical or production issues and their delays are unreasonable.

I have been notified during the initial recall of the lethal takata airbags in my 2006 Mustang. Today, I have been contacting the dealer in margate florida where I purchased the vehicle. As of this date after numerous telephone calls, visits, I am still without the passenger side airbag. I left messages, not return calls, poor customer service responses, etc. . . I would like some assistance in getting the passenger side bag replaced. It's been several years and the car is a daily driven car before my family experience the sad events as other famllies has experienc3ed.

Takata recall - the driver's side airbag was serviced, but the passenger side is original. I have been unable to use the passenger-side front seat of my car for nearly a year because I don't want my passengers sitting near the defective airbag.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2005 Ford Mustang. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 15v319000 (air bags) and 16v384000 (air bags). The parts for NHTSA campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags) were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The local dealer (summerville Ford 9700 dorchester rd, summerville, SC 29485 (877) 477-1434) was contacted and confirmed that the parts for NHTSA campaign number: 15v319000 (air bags) were available, but parts for NHTSA campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags) were not available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and was not able to confirm when the passenger side air bag parts were to become available. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms passenger side air bags not available.

Drivers side airbag was replaced after waiting for months, only to find out there was another airbag on board car with recall, but, no available parts to perform safety update !!!.

Received a second recall on the passenger air bags for the Mustang in March 2017. Called the 800 number and was told that the parts were not available and we would receive a letter when they were. Here we are in December 2017 and still no letter and no fix for the passenger air bag. The driver side air bags were replaced on 8/5/16.

Takata recall: received recall mar2016. Contacted Ford dealer regarding fix. I asked him 1. Is the car safe to drive. His answer was the NHTSA said it was cleared to drive. 2. Is it ok to have a passenger in the affected seat. Same answer as in #1. 3. When will the part become available? no clue. He actually said it could be years since takata was bankrupt and they were looking for other manufacturers to make the part. The NHTSA website states recalls are issued when equipment creates an unreasonable safety risk or fails to meet minimum safety standards. Since the Ford dealer stated that the NHTSA cleared vehicles under this recall as 'safe to drive', could I get it in writing that my vehicle is safe to drive? I also live in florida where the 50% increase in probability exists due to temp and humidity. Also, could you please explain why only the passenger side airbag is subject to exploding and not the drivers side.

2011 Ford Mustang. Consumer writes in regards to driver side airbag issues. The consumer stated the driver's side airbag was repaired under recall but, the air bag and harness were faulty. The manufacturer did not offer any assistance. The vehicle was out of warranty. Updated 06/20/2017.

Takata recall. I am unable to get a replacement passenger side airbag and the dealership is telling me there is no remedy available. I have received bankruptcy notice regarding this and do not feel that I should have to pay to get this fixed, if parts are finally available. Please advise on the direction I should go to make my car safe again.

Takata recall: we received a recall letter for the right side airbag (16v-384) July 2016, and now in Feb 2017 we are still waiting on parts to be available with no expected date. Note we had already waited over a year for the driver side airbag (that recall letter was from July 2015) which was finally resolved, and why both weren't recalled at the same time boggles me. Please push the parties to resolve replacing the right air bag. Driving essentially in a dangerous condition with air bag recalls spanning for a year and a half now is not acceptable.
