Five problems related to brake foundation components have been reported for the 1999 GMC Sierra. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While applying brakes there is a loud ticking noise coming from underneath vehicle. Dealership is aware of problem.
Brakes are not working properly. When applying brakes the vehicle will not slow down. Then consumer has to press the brakes all the way to the floor. Contacted dealer.
Vehicle vibrates when brakes are applied at any speed. Consumer's mechanic found that front and rear brakes were rusted. Dealer stated brakes were normal.
Brakes make noise and pull/vibrate when applied, the rotors and pads replaced however the system still experiences problems.
Brakes failed due to contamination and sever wear causing vehicle accident and injury.
