One problem related to brake grinding noise has been reported for the 1999 GMC Sierra. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
: the contact stated while attempting to apply brake pressure at 5 mph, the antilock brakes made a grinding noise. There is a NHTSA recall, # 05v379000, regarding the service brakes hydraulic antilock. The vehicle has the same problems as indicated in the recall; however it is not included in the recall due to the VIN.
