2 Brake Grinding Noise problem of the 2000 GMC Sierra

Failure Date: 12/16/2005

The contact had recall 05v37900 repair work done on the anti lock brakes. Approximately one month later, while applying the brakes, he heard a loud grinding noise. The consumer was only going 8-10 mph and the consumer traveled 200-300 feet before he was able to come to a stop. He took the vehicle to the dealership, and they stated the wheel bearings needed to be replaced. Updated 01/11/06.

3 Brake Grinding Noise problem of the 1999 GMC Sierra

Failure Date: 05/25/2005

: the contact stated while attempting to apply brake pressure at 5 mph, the antilock brakes made a grinding noise. There is a NHTSA recall, # 05v379000, regarding the service brakes hydraulic antilock. The vehicle has the same problems as indicated in the recall; however it is not included in the recall due to the VIN.

Abs system is not working properly, there is a grinding noise when applying brakes. Contacted dealer, and the dealer is not willing to do anything.

5 Brake Grinding Noise problem of the 2000 GMC Sierra

Failure Date: 02/28/2000

While coming down a hill put foot on brakes, and it felt like pushing on a brick wall. Consumer proceeded through a stop sign. Consumer has to press brake down twick before vehicle will stop. The brakes failed twice. The steering column makes a grinding noise when turning. Horn failed. Keyless entery failed. Door locks failed. Interior lights failed. The fan in the front end is very loud. The speedometer is inaccurate. The power steering pump shaft broke.
