Air Bag Light On Problems of GMC Yukon - part 2

I have a 2010' GMC Yukon slt1 4wd. The service air bag light is on at all times. Previous owner was told by gm it was caused by iphones & computers & not to worry the air bags will still deploy. I just purchased the vehicle (clean car fax) air bag light still on. My dealership said the same thing but another dealership said heck no if that light is on they will not work. Two different GMC dealers couldn't find the problem & blamed it on phones! I have 3 babies riding in this vehicle.

The contact owns a 2006 GMC Yukon denali. The contact stated that she started the vehicle and the service air bag light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection and they stated that the impact air bag sensors needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 50,000.

I have a 2004 GMC Yukon denali. It has 56,000 miles. The service air bag light came on and I took it to dealership. They told me it was $50 to scan system and $580 to fix the passenger air bag sensor. The old part is still on my car beacuse I am not paying that for a $25. 00 part. I think this is rediculous. No wonder people are going foreign and getting 10 years/100k mile warranty.

Srs: service air bag light on; srs scanner gave codes b0026; b0043; b0044; b0084; b0100; and b0104. Found technical service bulletins possibly related to my specific vehicle (TSB#050941001; NHTSA#10013456) and (TSB#pit-4662; NHTSA#10026744). Called GMC service center; they claimed unable to assist. Suggested taking it to local GMC dealer to run codes at my expense. And then, possibly, depending on results/diagnosis, GMC "may" be able to offer monetary assistance for repairs. So, first have to find the time and the money to take it in. Meanwhile, told rep I would probably just disable the srs. The light is annoying and have been told that the whole system is disabled anyway while the service air bag light is on. Rep seemed amused and said that her hands are tied.

I have had my airbag light on for atleast 4 years and GMC said that there is no fix for this yet. I got a recall notice in the mail but they said there is no parts. Can you please help me. Its a takata airbag.

Consumer states that the passenger air bag light is not functioning properly. The passenger air bag light illuminated indicating a problem. The vehicle was taken in for repairs several times to no avail.

The contact owns a 2007 GMC Yukon. While driving at highway speeds or lower, the transmission shifts very hard. There is also a harsh pounding sound coming from the transmission. All of the electrical components on the instrument panel failed. The dealer changed the crankshaft sensor. While driving, the contact cannot tell when the gear is in neutral. The speedometer displays inaccurate speeds and the air bag light illuminates. The plastic on the window fell off and the front driver's side door handle sticks when it is pulled, and will not go back in. The contact hears a rubbing sound coming from the steering column. The instrument panel cluster has been replaced and the check engine light would remain illuminated. The current mileage was 29,000 and failure mileage was 10,229. Update 09/10/08 the lug nut caps were missing, the check engine light was on. The gas cap was not sealing. The dealer replaced the gas cap. Updated 09/15/08.

I bought my 05' GMC Yukon denali new. Airbag light continuously on - reads, service airbag. I have taken it in for service several times but miraculously the GMC service center says the light doesn't come on when they have it. Pffftt!- 2005 to present! heater & ac (hvac) temperature improper temperature or air delivery. Year of occurrence - 2010 electrical system has mind of its own. Lights on dash, cd and tape don't work. Year of occurrence - 2005/6 both cd player's and tape cassette player haven't worked since 2006/7 fuel system sporadically reads- check gas cap. Gasoline gage doesn't work. Year of occurrence- 2010 check engine light comes on sporadically- 2008 to present. Locks don't work properly- 2009 rear window defogger wire terminal broken off of window glass- year of occurrence - 2005/6 the keyless entry system stopped working. I have replaced key fobs and batteries several time's it will work for a week then fail. Year of occurrence -2007/08 rear passenger window's don't work properly, when down they will not go up. Year of occurrence - 2009 child window lock doesn't work. Year of occurrence - 2010 side rear view mirror's don't work for several week's after a car wash. Year of occurrence 2013 front and middle glove compartment peeled within the first 6 months of owning the vehicle. Front seat heater overheats -immediately after pushing seat heater button. Year of occurrence - 2006/7 front seats don't recline all the way down. Year of occurrence - 2009 mileage is wrong - year of occurrence 2006/7 major break issue- 2007 to present makes strange pulling sound in rear of vehicle when started-2007 to present.

2004 GMC Yukon denali. Service air bag light continued to go on but there never seemed to be a problem with it. The dealer stated the problem should have been covered under warranty as a manufacturing defect, however GMC denied any responsibility because the vehicle had over 100,000 miles.

Air bag light appears on dashboard until vehicle is turned off. Dealership is aware of problem.

Air bag indicator has lit on many occasions for last several weeks. Dealer claims they cannot find a problem or make it light, although there was an error code in the vehicle computer. Dealer attempted to charge me for checking as extended warranty would not cover. We drive in fear that one or both air bags may deploy at any time due to a short circuit, causing a major accident.

When starting car airbag light stayed on. Took vehicle to dealer, and they said it was airbag module. They refuse to fix a safety device at their expence.

Airbag light comes on intermittently. Has happened 3 times and is now at dealer. Dealer is having problem with airbag sensor clips, which keep failing after replacement. Dealer considers this a safety issue as airbag could deploy while driving.

Airbag light stayed illuminated , indictating a defect and either inoperative or sudden deployment of airbags. Cause is unknown. Please provide further information.

Air bag light illuminates on dashboard, has occurred four other times. Dealer has been notified about problem; however, has not been able to service malfunction.
