The contact owns a 2022 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who determined that the engine had seized and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that on another occasion while driving 65 mph, a wheel detached from the vehicle and the vehicle slid across the road. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who determined that the tie rod had detached. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that recently while driving 60 mph, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal, and the engine seized. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who determined that the engine had seized. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost and remained with the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

The contact owns a 1999 GMC Yukon. On April 20, 2009, the vehicle would not accelerate past 20 mph. There had been no prior failures with the transmission since purchasing the vehicle used in January of 2009. In addition, there were alignment issues that caused the tires to explode, tie rod failure, brake failure, and the fuel gauge displays the incorrect amount of fuel in the vehicle. Lack of lubrication in tir rod ends caused rubbing/growling noise in the front end especially when turning, each rod took 10 shots of grease as compared to the usual 2 shots, consumer believes the corrective action indicates lack of or no lubrication existed at time of delivery. Nlm.
