The contact owns a 2019 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving 35 mph, he heard loud buzzing and popping noises coming from the door speakers accompanied by severe vibration from the door speakers. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact reported that the noise was distracting to the point that he pulled onto the side of the road. The contact said that the noise stopped once he had pulled over. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and two microphones of the "active noise canceling microphone" system were replaced on the driver’s side roof and the rear passenger middle roof. The contact experienced a recurrence of the same loud buzzing and popping noise again. The contact stated that he returned the vehicle to the same dealer and the microphones were not replaced. The contact said that the noise recently returned, and he took the vehicle back to the dealer. The dealer diagnosed the issue and was told that the manufacturer had no remedy available. The contact said the manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000.

This is my mothers car (1998 Honda Accord ex-vl) which was totaled in an accident due to a sudden unintended acceleration. My wife was the first owner of the vehicle and my mother has had the car for about 2 years. She had stopped, put the car into park, got out to open a parking lot gate, got back in, stepped on the brake, and shifted the car into gear. It immediately went into a high rev and accelerated uncontrollably resulting in the car smashing into a wall about 60' away. Luckily the air bags worked and neither her or my step father were seriously hurt. Her foot was definitely on the brake pedal as there is a lockout mechanism that prevents the car from being taken out of park if the brake pedal is not pushed. This may or may not be related, but she was having difficulty getting the handle to move. The problem with it not moving had occurred previously, usually on a slight incline, but the Honda dealer looked at it and told her nothing was wrong. My mother is a retired bus driver with a perfect driving record, no accidents, and only uses one foot to control the vehicle.

My crank shaft pulley bolt broke off damaging my whole engine. Honda estimates it will be approx. 5900. 00 to fix. This is ridiculous since my car is practically new (1999) and I get all my servicing at the dealership!.

While driving down the freeway going about 40mph the accelorator stuck and continued to accel at uncontrolable speeds. The brake would not stop the car and I had to put it in neutral and slam on the gas pedal to release it. I have since taken the car to mel rapton Honda and spoke to the service manager who claims that he has never heard of this happening. It has not done it since. I had a mechanic check the accelerator cables as well as the cruise control cables and there were no apparent problems.
I purchased a 98 Honda Accord in October of 2001. It has been in the shop approximately eight times since it was purchased for numerous problems. The brakes had to be replaced about four months after buying the car. The paint has faded on the roof and is now fading on the trunk lid. The key has gotten stuck in the ignition twice and would not come out until the next day. The gas pedal has gotten stuck after cranking the car and pedal had to be "punched" to get it to accelerate. The cd player has been replaced. The doors would not lock using keyless entry or manually and the door accuator was replaced. The keyless entry has also been replaced. These are some of the things that are going on. Currently, the back window is vibrating and it is unclear whether it is loose or not. I do feel this is a lemon.
Sudden acceleration, accelerator sticking.

They are selling me a lemon and fool me around with excuse. The engine light have been on six time during this two year. The first three time the engine light on, I did not have duplicatin code. Sum up the six time report, I have two times code 0700 and two times code 1705. I called Honda because they authorized this dealer to sell thie car, however, they told me since the dealer do the modification on the car (add the auto starter in the car), they don't responsible on any problem that related to autostarter, even they authorized tham to sell their car. Then I talk to the assistant manager, he is very sacratic, he ask me the detail how I use the autostarter, my answer was perfect, seem to be nothing wrong. As well as he told me the last engine light on was a year ago, I told me I have not use the autostarter for a year, because I decided to leave my baby with my mother-in-law, but I use the autostarter recently. Then he blame me, perhap it could be as simple as losing the gas cap, or you use pc or cellphone in the car trigger the engine light. Then I ask him what is the list of action I cannot do in the car, he told me he has the list, but he cannot find it. I ask the service rep can I have the summary to what you did for the past six time fixing, service rep told me that summary will not reflect the detail of what happen, only the date and your name. Here is the list of problems my car has: check engine light on 6th time, Dec 2002, code 700 customer statres cd changer is inop, April 2002 balancing 2 tires on Dec 2001, miscommuncate check engine light on 5th time, Nov 2001, malfunction a/t sensor check engine light on 4th time, sept 2001, code 1705 repaired rear bumper assembly, Nov 2001 check engine light on 3rd time, June 2001, code 0700, 1705 auto start doesn't work check engine light on 2nd time, March 2001, code 900 check engine light on 1st time, Jan 2001, code 1456.

All of the above dates and mileage are approximate. I have the information on paper at home. I have also had the hardest time with Honda financial services with them calling me and saying that I never paid my monthly bill (last fall), which I did, and then finally they found the check and said "OH, our mistake, it has been here the whole time. " and then now, I have them saying that I was in default of my lease because they never had information for my insurance, which my insurance was supposed to send them that information. I checked back with them a week later (today) and they said that they were going to impound my car because my insurance company never got back with them. Called my insurance company, and it took 5 mins. To have someone fax over proof of insurance. That was all - was it that difficult??? this car had to have the back brakes replaced after 25000 miles (about a month ago - it was making this awful noise, like rattling chains underneath) - that should not have happened. The back window tinting lifted up after 1 year, the tire blew out on the freeway 1 month after getting it (leased the car Aug 2001). The service engine light has come on twice, for no apparent reason. And the srs light was on 2 different times. Had it turned off the 1st time. Then 1 week later it was back on, brought back to my dealership and they said it was something wrong with the computer system, but they could not give me a good enough explanation. When I first was looking for a car at the dealership, this car was not on the lot where all the other cars for sale were, it was in the back, by the service department. Asked the sales rep if the car was in okay condition and he said it was, and there was nothing wrong with it because it only had 10 miles on it - I should have known then. This car is a pain in the behind and it is just a hassle for everything that keeps happening with it.
Upon slowing down with brakes on, engine starts to buck and wants to quit, also happens when starting from a stop position. Does not happen all the time but has caused a few situations whereby a collison almost occurred. Dealer advised, checked out by dealer, stated nothing found would not go any further. Note-above dates approx. , have dealer invoice if needed.
The engine completely blew out one day. I was on the way to work and there was an explosion under my hood. Honda put in a re-built engine and I have had nothing but problems since then. A few months later. . . The paint gradually started to fade away on the roof. It has only gotten worse and will get much worse. It is a 1998 Honda!! this stuff shouldn't be happening!.
Due to the design of dash board lights, it is hard to read odometer, digital clock, and radio indicator.
Cigarette lighter inoperative.
